I would definitely say BillQuick has made our life easier. It is very easy to use and handles our time and expense tracking on projects. Integration with QuickBooks works really well and it saves double data entry. Whenever we need any help their customer service has been outstanding.

Cons

I would not have bought this product had I known what I do now. I am hopeful that they will be able to provide a solution that is acceptable, and if not, make it right financially with me.

The trainer was personable and competent. I am waiting for him to get back to me with a workable solution.

Cons

My frustration occurred due to the salesperson not understanding what my criteria was for buying the product. The trainer encountered the reality of the mismatch when tried to adapt their system to my needs.

BillQuick is one of the most user friendly programs I have tried. It has taken me a few years to find a program to replace my old system. If something is posted incorrectly it is easy to correct the error, which was a big plus in determining which program I would use. The project managers are delighted to be able to see their projects progress with the click of their mouse.

I can't wait to get the budget and allocation functions up and running.

As a structural engineering consulting practice with numerous projects and clients, the software answers our needs with wonderful organization and flexibility in setting up projects and invoicing. Numerous invoicing templates allow us to satisfy our clients billing requirements to a "T". Technical support is responsive and knowledgeable on all facets of the program.

Cons

The biggest asset, deep flexibility and customization, can take some real time to master. Fortunately, though, technical support is there to take you by the hand and show you how to accomplish what you need to do.

I was on the phone with the representative (BQE) and QuickBooks Tech Support for several hours today. I was extremely frustrated as we weren't finding a solution to my syncing my invoices to QuickBooks. After much frustration, we let QuickBooks hang up from the GoTo Meeting as well as the conference call with BQE and myself. The representative assured me he would help me and he did. While I had to put him on hold for a moment, he was able to find the problem and resolve it! I am so happy and now I don't have to go the weekend worrying about how my invoices next week are going to sync. Thank you so much for hanging in and helping resolve the problem!

Bill Quick online has definitely helped us improve our cash flow and our profitability. I would recommend it to other architects with a couple of caveats.

Pros

- Absolutely OUTSTANDING customer support team (trust me- I've worked with almost all of them; special kudos to the customer service.
- Lots of options
- Custom report feature is a big plus

- Really complex; definitely designed by engineers who included almost every variation imaginable

The invoice templates need more features that will separate expenses from Vendor (Consultant). It's impossible to have a true billed-to-date for expenses and consultants because they are lumped together as an expense. I have been told that I can purchase a template just for our company that will do this but I think it should come as a feature already. Other than that, I think the BQuick is a very good program for the Architect industry.

Pros

Timesheet entry is very easy and only as accurate as your data entry. Project setup and Client setup is very user-friendly.

Cons

Would like to see more variations of invoice templates.

Advice to Others

Take one of their classes to get started, other wise you will be lost at what the program can do for you.

Product is too general. It's good for a company on a budget. This service does not cost nearly as much as more dedicated and more user friendly software. It does require a large time commitment to get it all set up and going. Best use for a small service company, just starting out, who needs affordable software that can provides you with basic features and simple reports. As you scale your business it is worth looking for more industry-specific software.

It does exactly what we need it to do and the vendor is quick to respond with any questions, no run around. Ease of use for new employees with very little training.

Cons

Different time zone, we are on the east coast. Occasionally have to wait a few hours for a response because of the 3 hour time difference.

Let the software do the work for you. We started with unnecessary customization, and should have let the software do it's job.

We switched to Bill Quick at just the right time! It allowed us to respond to client demanded invoice templates and enabled us to continue to grow without adding additional back office support staff. The mobile app is also great for time and expense entry and so is web suite for all our remote offices and mobile staff. Billing can be accomplished quickly with this product!

Cons

We work on the east coast and from time to time we have needed morning support and had to wait until support staff arrived at BQE who works in the pacific time zone. Not a major issue by any means, but still resulted is some downtime that otherwise could have been eliminated.

Advice to Others

I highly recommend this product. We only used QuickBooks before and needed a product that would integrate and provide enhanced project management tools and project structure with multiple phases. I highly recommend the initial support and training services offered that helped us get up and running faster and with less stress.

I like the base program and included reports but I really like that the reports can be customized. Very important for my invoice formatting.

Cons

I have been with Billquick for a very long time (over 10 years), and I've never been disappointed by them. They work very hard at customer satisfaction.

Advice to Others

The drop down style of time/expense entry makes easy work of sometimes tedious time entry for staff. It's quick, easy, and efficient. The set up of new projects and budgets is intuitive.

I've worked with BillQuick for the past 6 years. Overall it is a pretty easy system to use, it also interacts with Quickbooks nicely.

Cons

There are a few glitches, such as adding unnecessary multipliers to reports that make them incorrect, and we have to go back and fix all of these. Something our previous product from the 90's, did much better at. There is a lot of manual corrections

Advice to Others

Make sure you gift the system as much information as you can from the beginning, going back later to correct things, doesn't always work.

BillQuick is simple to use for the majority of our employees who do basic time and expense entry. It has user friendly functionality and their online tutorials and webinars help our company maximize the software's capabilities. If I ever have a question or concern their customer service is the best I have experienced.

Cons

Overtime hours are not always flagged correctly. This is not an issue for our company.

Advice to Others

In past years I have researched more expensive options, but continue to use BillQuick as I have not found a product that compares in terms of value and functionality.

The system is very comprehensive and flexible. We've got a number of divisions that each operate quite differently and BQ handles them all. In a few cases, the BQ staff have been able to work with us to provide customization that proved very helpful. Training and support is an area where BQ really shines. You can always get helpful support when you need it. We also value that the software is DCAA compliant.

Cons

Integration with QuickBooks is not as good as they advertise, and information only flows easily one way. Also, the accounting package which cost extra has a long way to go before it comes close to the functionality of QuickBooks. The fact that it doesn't import Quickbooks reports was a major reason we don't use this add-on.

Check compatibility with your accounting software and fully demo the program before you buy.

Our employees are based all over the country, this program is very user friendly and their support is excellent! Any time I call for support, I am able to speak with someone immediately. If they cannot provide a quick solution, they research the issue and always come back with a resolution in a very short time frame.

I can't think of anything that I do not like about this program, if there is something, you have the opportunity to voice a request or change and they will add it to the "wish-list" and try to work it into the program.

We really like the software because it is really user friendly and the customer service at Bill Quick is outstanding. We were really amazed that Bill Quick was able to set us up remotely and everything was absolutely seamless. We were a little skeptical at first because we are located in Canada but that wasn't an issue at all. We also like how easy it is for Bill Quick to integrate with Quick Books.

We were also very impressed with their customization of all of all our invoices and reports. Their on line web training is also very good. Everyone at Bill Quick is very knowledgeable and very helpful.

Cons

There are no dislikes we are very satisfied with the product.

Advice to Others

If anybody is using say excel to track time this product is truly amazing and I would highly recommend that they at least try it for 30 days and evaluate how easy and user friendly the product is.

There are many facets that I love about BillQuick, it's hard to pick one. Its ease of use is high on my list along with price. We have been using BQ for almost 14 years, and I have seen great leaps and bounds since December 2002. An upgrade is released every year in which BQ tries to stuff as many improvements as they can, many requested by their customers. BQ is always looking for ways to improve, this software never remains static.

Cons

What I used to like the least was the difference in time zone. BillQuick is on the West Coast while we are located on the East Coast. I previously had to wait until close to noon to call Tech Support. However, they resolved this issue a few years by expanding hours to start at 6:00 a.m. PST which means I can now call for support at 9:00 a.m. No more delay! Emailing your questions is also an available option.

The software is all inclusive and has many facets of managing our engineering business. Training is very important because the program is complex. It's capable of doing many things but it takes time to learn them.

Cons

We are using BillQuick online and I don't particularly like the way the screen jumps around. When selecting an invoice to preview, when finished, you are returned back to the top of the list. I also wish that there were more rows for entering time on the Simple Time Entry Screen. Please create shortcut keys for adding a new row instead of having to click on the plus sign.

The product is extremely user friendly. Employees, young and senior age, have no problem using the product to accomplish their daily activities. BillQuick conducts, at no cost, frequent training sessions where participants are encouraged to learn time saving ways to use applications. Employees in their tech department have a deep knowledge of the software. Their goal is to assist in what you want the application do. Tell the tech people what you want and they will get it done. "No problem" is their attitude. BillQuick has the best product at an economical price that I have found.

Cons

As you can tell, I like the product. BillQuick offers service/application discounts, usually for a very limited time period. Possibly these marketing efforts can be extended of existing and tech agreements users for a longer time period. It is usually easier and less expensive to sell more to an existing customer base.

Advice to Others

Try it, you will like the results. Try other high price software and you will realize the solutions found in BillQuick.

Versatility of the product, ease of use, seamless integration with Quickbooks, superior low-cost support and most importantly, the increase in revenues because time capture works so well. I have used BillQuick since 2008 and it just keeps getting better.

Cons

I cannot think of anything I don't like. As Steve Jobs used to say about Apple products - "it just works"!

Advice to Others

Purchasers of time and billing software will find that BillQuick is unique in its breadth of capabilities while still being easy to use. I conducted an exhaustive search for time and billing software and had almost given up on finding a product that would do what I needed - luckily I persevered and found BillQuick.

Customer service and tech support is outstanding. I love how easy BillQuick is to make changes or corrections to projects, time, etc.

Cons

I wish that the agent worked better. I defiantly like BillQuick better than using WebSuite. WebSuite tends to time out on our employees regarding of how long we set it.

Advice to Others

If you are considering accounting / project management software, BillQuick is the one to go to.
