Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution that enables business owners to manage their appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals.

Acuity Scheduling lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of their own time available. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding their appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third party application calendar synchronizing, and group scheduling for workshops.

Acuity Scheduling is suitable for service-based businesses such as training and tutoring centers, coaching and consulting, photography and video production companies, fitness studios, salons and spa centers and health and dental clinics. The solution offers a free basic module and is available as a monthly subscription. Really great software.

Pros

Acuity allows you to customize just about everything under the sun - and even the free version isn't lacking for features! It's been a life changer when it comes to laying out my schedule. With the paid version, it syncs to your Outlook Calendar automatically and blocks people from making appointments during times that you have other events on your calendar! It's basically a computerized personal assistant. It's all very intuitive as well.

Cons

I wish we could purchase a corporate package for more than just a few employees - we have about 25+ people who use it but the "company" plan doesn't cover that many.

Pros

Soooo easy to setup. I literally took 30 min and customized every aspect of Acuity to provide one of the prime offers for my business. Another 5 min and it was integrated into my website. Oh did I mention that I did this on phone?!?! All the features that Acuity offers are well worth the extra $ per month vs. Calendly. Calendly is also a great product, but the cleaner installation, and customization was with it to me.

Cons

Not a whole lot to say on the negative side... It took a little longer to setup​, but I did it on my phone while riding in a car (no I was not driving). Also a little more expensive than Calendly, but for my business, it's worth it.

If you're a very small business and don't need to keep track of missed, attended or cancelled appointment Acuity is the system for you. If you do I would recommend checking out other softwares.

Pros

User friendly.

I can't invoice clients, it's difficult for them to figure out how to pay if I schedule for them

Recommendations

This is the best scheduler I found. If you have another way to do do invoicing, this covers everything else.

Easy to use and implement. Easy to keep track of your appointments, with the option to have a list of your upcoming week's schedule directly sent to your email address.

Cons

Setting the availability for different types is not accessible to free accounts. Payment integration with PayPal and other platforms is only available to paid accounts.

Time savings and increased professionalism - Gone are the days of numerous back and forth emails with clients trying to schedule an apt.

Pros

I used it at my previous job and it made scheduling apt and consultations with my potential and existing clients very easy. As the Manager of the department it also provide great visibility into the availability of my Agents. Signed up again for the free version at my new job and love how easy it is to setup and use and makes scheduling appointments very easy for my clients.

Cons

I have to pay for a subscription to sync Acuity with Google Calendar so I have to take one extra step to block off my Acuity calendar.

Easy way for clients to consult, book, and pay my business. I also appreciate the explicit instructions that are accompanied with the setup.

Pros

I like the step by step walk through and checklist provided during set up to ensure that you have completed everything to get started. I appreciate the opportunity to color code, accept payments, and send text reminders to clients.

Cons

When I was working on my intake questionnaire, I had trouble switching the order of the questions after they had been written. I eventually gave up and kept the same order.

Automation, scheduling customization and I've save so much time!

Pros

OMG! I sooo love this scheduling tool. I've been using another tool for a while but I found it difficult to book certain appointments during certain times of the day and Acuity allows that. The customization is an amazing energy saver. Acuity helps keep my system automated and doesn't require a lot of manual input which saves me a ton of time. Acuity also easily integrates with my website, my convert kit and other sources I use for my business.

Cons

You have to have a paid version to use the payment gateway but other than that everything else is great.

It's so easy to use. I love the fact that buttons for individual services can be added to your website to make it really easy for the customer to book.

I wish there were more options to add other payment types. Many of my customers pay using a credit card terminal rather than cash or online.

Connection with clients!

Pros

That clients can schedule, receive reminders and confirmation and pay on their own. It's much more professional that's how I was running that part of my business.

Cons

Challenging ( for me) to find the link to send, and which page I can edit my info on. I have the app but it seems I have to go to the site.

1. Super easy to use as I can set up instructions for clients in the confirmation page.
2. Rescheduling the calls and automatic confirmation email which is again a time saver.

Pros

Client scheduling page is my favorite feature because I did not need to send out call instructions to clients who booked a call with me. It saves me a ton of time and syncs well with iCal and Google Calendar.

I can have multiple scheduling links for different services which is a wonderful feature in itself.

Cons

The only con I noticed was the lack of payment options in multiple currencies, it would be great if they add it.

Pros

As a pastor new in the area, I am using this software, in its basic and free form, to schedule connections with my new congregation. This software allows my staff to do the scheduling for me without needing access to my entire calendar.

Cons

I found that it took me a few tries to get to the calendar where I schedule my available hours. It's not as obvious as one might expect for a use that one uses almost overtime. I am using the free version which doesn't sync with my calendar. Too bad. Because I don't need any of the other tools that come with the paid version.

What I like most is that I can integrate all schedules into iCal / iCloud, that my clients get notified of confirmed bookings and rescheduled appointments and lastly that I can integrate payment into the bookings.

Cons

No mobile app - however with the email alerts and schedule updates I really don't need one. Would like to see syncing with my accounting software.

I'm thrilled at the ability to switch over to a cloud-based scheduling system for my business as opposed to a plugin for my website! The available customizations, the very clean and polished appearance, and the multitude of useful integrations are a dream come true. And we're only talking the FREE version! Cons

Perhaps the only con I could find (and a very small one at that) is that some of the options take some thought to finding because they're buried within layers of other features.

Pros

The ability to accept payments. The padding option, the reminders, the reminder to clients. The personal link to send to clients

Cons

That some of the pictures I wanted to add to my appointment type were too large to use, also once you leave the page you have to start all over your place isn't held. I was unable to sync with my I calendar.

The functionality and customization. I've been able to embed it onto my forms in my CRM to allow for even more value.

Cons

The way the menu is set up. I almost can never find what I'm looking for and it's not in a "usual" spot. Some of the functions that should be allowed as a free user are not available.
