Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution that enables business owners to manage their appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals.

Acuity Scheduling is suitable for service-based businesses such as training and tutoring centers, coaching and consulting, photography and video production companies, fitness studios, salons and spa centers and health and dental clinics.

The software lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of their own availability. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding their appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set also includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third-party application calendar syncing and group scheduling for workshops.

Acuity Scheduling offers a free basic module and is ultimately available as a monthly subscription. The product offers APIs and integrates with third-party applications such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, MailChimp, Google Analytics and WordPress.

Pros

Soooo easy to setup. I literally took 30 min and customized every aspect of Acuity to provide one of the prime offers for my business. Another 5 min and it was integrated into my website. Oh did I mention that I did this on phone?!?! All the features that Acuity offers are well worth the extra $ per month vs. Calendly. Calendly is also a great product, but the cleaner installation, and customization was with it to me.

Cons

Not a whole lot to say on the negative side... It took a little longer to setup​, but I did it on my phone while riding in a car (no I was not driving). Also a little more expensive than Calendly, but for my business, it's worth it.

If you're a very small business and don't need to keep track of missed, attended or cancelled appointment Acuity is the system for you. If you do I would recommend checking out other softwares.

I can't invoice clients, it's difficult for them to figure out how to pay if I schedule for them

This software was recommended by my web designer as its so easy to navigate and use all on your own even if you're not a technology knowledgeable person. I love how you can change your schedule easily with a click of a button and with no issues. Friendly staff that respond rather quickly too! I am so grateful my web designer suggested this software!!!

I can list price sin Japanese Yen, but set up the schedule in English. I can add bonus, add-on services easily to any product or service.

Pros

I like that I can list pricing in international currency and offer many different types of services and products. The flexibility and clean layout are the key features of Acuity that place it above competing scheduling services.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve, so people who don't have experience with apps, social media and/or web design should use the support options offered by Acuity.

I'm¿ a hairstylist who switched from styleseat to acuity scheduling. I must say my books are looking great! It's very easy to use (both me and my clients) and it's very convenient because I don't always have my pricelist in front of me. The best thing I've ever done was switch my scheduler to acuity!

I began using acuity so that I could more easily set up appointments for a new business. I started with the free version, which was wonderful to begin with, although I plan to upgrade soon so that I will be able to sync to other calendars, accept payment, and translate time zones. I'm very glad I went with acuity.

Since starting a coaching business, I don't think I would've been able to keep track of all the calls I have scheduled without this.

Pros

It has a lot of scheduling features that make it hands-off and done-for-you.

Cons

As a small business owner, like most, I'm always busy. I'm working with clients, doing workshops, managing team members, and more. Acuity took me out of the wasted email conversations revolving around never-ending questions "Does Tuesday at 2pm MST work for you?" The back and forth emailing was a huge time waster and frustrating. My big regret is that I did not start using Acuity sooner. I checked out their competitors and found Acuity to be the best. It's fast, simple, and easy to use. There is little to no learning curve. You set your hours, share your link with whoever needs it and get back to work. I'm grateful for this amazing tool and how it how simplified my life and streamlined my sales calls and clients calls. Thank you!

I have found no cons. Nothing about using Acuity has been frustrating or confusing.

The service is friendly and attentive. Having used other scheduling services this one has the benefits of: forms, taking payments, reminders, and the brilliant part is allowing for various schedules and being able to link with other calendars! A very easy to use tool. I also appreciate the humor used in their correspondence, it really gives an aire of being personal.

The features on this app are amazing I like the fact that I was able to customize how the page looks from the customers point of view. I also like the fact that I'm able to charge a deposit and the fact that it is linked to my Square account. It's professional it's straight to the point and it's linked to my Google Calendar so whenever someone books an appointment I don't have to go in put it in my calendar it automatically schedule for me. I am a nail tech independent contractor so I only need one calendar but once I expand into my salon I'll be able to do up to 5 calendars which is really cool. The only downside to the app is the emerging entrepreneur does not have the reminder text feature it only has email. I think I would change that because no one really emails anymore everything is mostly through text. Other than that it's a great and I plan on staying with this company.

It's simple to set up the layout is customizable I like the fact that links to my Google and my Square account

No one really emails I feel that the text reminder should be available for the emerging entrepreneur

I shopped around pretty extensively for a scheduling service for my photography studio and found this to be the easiest and most efficient way to go . . The low cost was just a great bonus!

I have looked at a TON of online scheduling products over the last number of months trying to find the perfect fit for my business - and not have it break the bank. I finally found it in Acuity Scheduling.

It has more features than anything else I tried and their pricing is reasonable for what you get.

It also doesn't hurt that they have a free version that isn't crippled so badly that you can't use it (like most of their competitors that I tried).

One of my service providers started using this tool to help organize quick consultations and once I tried it I had to see if I could integrate it into my client on-boarding process. After a short learning curve with excellent online help, I was up and running. It worked flawlessly the first time and I've been quite happy with the ongoing results! Now I have it integrated into ongoing consultations throughout my advising process....and the service is providing just what I need. Thanks for a great product!

Pros

Ease of use....tablet friendly.

Cons

Blocking off time is a bit clunky...but finally got the hang of it. Integration with outlook would be handy.
