Asset Panda Software


 

Asset Panda is a web-based platform for facility managers that offers a suite of applications including asset tracking, maintenance management, and more. It’s fully mobile and tablet compatible, and can be used from anywhere, while updating all data in real-time.

Unlimited locations, users, and mobile access are included standard, and it’s compatible on Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Android.

With Asset Panda, users can assign contacts by location, track depreciations, use a barcode scanner to look up asset details, automate pick lists, and more. Role-based security ensures that employees are granted the appropriate level of access, so they always see the information relevant to what they’re working on.

Asset Panda also offers unlimited, customized exporting and reporting features. Reports can be automated via email, with the ability to add custom calculation fields (and designate if each field should be required) before sending.

Asset Panda offers a free 14-day trial, and the app is available on the Apple store or the Google Play store.

it tracks our assets

Pros

The walkthrough and setup with Jessica was fantastic. She explains everything well and had answers to all of my questions. The software itself is very customizable.

Cons

I'm still a new user and haven't really dived deeply into the software yet, so maybe I'll find something later, but for now the only issue I've had is a very minor one with their label creator.

To be fair when I asked about it, they are in the process of updating that system and said they'd add my feedback to the to do list.

It allows me to keep track of the assets with an application very simple to use. It does not have certain complex features I would like to have, however that's what makes it easy and user friendly.

Pros

It is fairly simple to use. I also like the fact that there is a mobile app for the software. This makes it versatile and allows users to log in and constantly update it if necessary. The barcode feature is also very helpful.

Cons

Limited features. Having to manually input with not as many functions to make it quicker such as excel functions.

We got asset tracking for a year. That's about it.

Pros

The mobile iOS app is the best thing about this software. Bar none. The web interface is fine, but the mobile application is great. Especially the barcode scanning.

I wish I could say more positive things about this software (because it really could and should be great), but my experience has been completely soured.

Cons

The customer support is abysmal! First, when we purchased this software we were told multiple times that Active Directory sync (very important to us) was functioning on their end. The first 3 months we had this software this was completely nonfunctional and apparently the feature was in beta! We did not sign up to be beta testers. Asset Panda essentially lied to us to gain our business.

Finally after months of going back and forth with updating sync clients and setting up remote sessions, AD sync worked! It worked flawlessly for about 5 months. A May 18th update from Asset Panda destroyed that and proceeded to duplicate our patrons 9 times each. It is now June 8th and it is still not resolved!

We had not paid our renewal which was due yesterday because...well, how could we with these problems still rampant? Our Technology Director had the invoice, but wanted to see the problems resolved. They then locked our account ON the due date. Didn't even wait until closing hours. 7 AM...locked.

I reached out yesterday to them since I had not heard from them in almost a week. Conveniently, the "fix" was uploaded last night but we can't see it because they have locked out our account since our account was due. Why should we pay to see IF you have fixed the problem? Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

the ability to track multiple inventory items. The ability to see what we have in inventory at a touch of a button. As we are inventorying customer owned items for use on display fixtures, it allows us to see if we have all the parts we need for the specific displays in a very fast passed environment.

Pros

The ease of use keeps all of our users engaged and willing to keep up to date even when time lines are tight. We have already seen great benefits. Customer owned inventory can be checked and verified in a few minutes as apposed to hours. Customer support representative was a great asset to the whole process of setting things up. She seemed to get exactly what we were looking for and took the initiative to build a few features into our build out that even I didn't know I wanted. This has now saved time and money.

Cons

I would like to see a function to retire inventory items and keep the transaction history. Customer support representative has built a work around but if in future the development team could add this function that would be great.

As a company we were losing so much equipment and money! The benefits we get will be multifaceted. From the financial side which will impress the bosses to the IT staff who will have a much better product to interface with to manage our estate with. Finally the end-users who will be able to pick what they loan out rather than get what they are given.

This is still the dream for us as its only just gone live but I currently cannot foresee any major obstacles in our way.

Pros

I don't find it overly complicated for something which is so mallable. The scope of this software is really impressive. I like that I can grow and fit our company needs into what AP can perform.

When looking for software the ADFS function was a minimum requirement and I have just been told by the lead techie at our end that its the easiest setup he has ever seen - he was impressed which was a relief!

I also like that it doesn't look overly complicated for end users - this is crucial to our business actually wanting to use it. Without user adoption it could be a hard sell to renew at the end of the contract. I'm currently expecting no problems at all.

Although this is not software related - I have been super impressed with the implementation team. Happy to answer my questions (which were mostly delivered after a rude interruption!). Rare to get techies with such good people skills!

Pros

Ease of use. Everything straight forward. Mobile app layout is easy and quick. The barcoding feature is easy to setup and integrated nicely into the mobile app.

Cons

Look forward to more functionality such as being able to adjust fields from the main asset page and on the main mobile app page

It can sometimes be slow.... Also its difficult to make assets with multiple serial numbers. Please let me know if there is an option that i am unaware of.

Real time tracking of assets and the ability to assign roles to multiple people at different levels.

Pros

The flexibility of the platform is what I like most. You almost have no limit to what you can do. the screens are very intuitive.

Cons

So far the only con I have found it the lack of Quickbooks integration. I have spoken to a couple people that tell me the integration is forthcoming so no worries there.

It is so user friendly. Great concept and works really smoothly in terms of customization. Easy to make changes and implementation went really smoothly also.

Cons

The Help Desk does not integrate with ConnectWise. Also, it often is a little slow moving from one asset to the other.

Makes my job as owner of On/Off-Boarding processes much, much easier. Creates the individual accountability we needed for our assets to help trim our budget.

Pros

The customization features. It's nice to not be so "locked in" with the software. As our dept grows and changes, the software can do the exact same thing. Being able to make the software ours, and not some rigid solution that everyone has. We have made Asset Panda a part of the Atkore Service Desk and are honestly very excited about it. Our rep did a PHENOMENAL job getting the software set up for us initially, fielding our questions, and calming our concerns. She had an answer or example for us on every question we had. Please pass our sincerest thanks on to her.

Being able to easily track our equipment without spreadsheets

Pros

I like the flexibility of Asset Panda. Being able to change almost any field or setting is a great help, and makes customizing it to our needs very easy. Its good to know that as our needs change, Asset Panda can too.

Cons

I really wish that Asset Panda had a better way to handle common, non-asset tagged items. As an example, we like to know if a user has been issued a docking station or multiple monitors, but do not need to asset tag it due to the low cost.

Easier to track depreciation than our old method of using a spreadsheet. Helps minimize excel formula and user errors.

Pros

The flexibility of reporting and the customizable nature of the entire platform is really cool. I like that I can develop my own home page and my own reports to show data that's specific.

Cons

It's a little difficult to navigate at first. It would also be really great to have the depreciation schedule a little easier to find, interpret, et cetera. Right now depreciation isn't really a main focus, but that's the reason our company wants to use Asset Panda. If it were a default report that was easily pulled to see month-by-month where each asset is in its depreciation stage and other similar details, this would be even better!

On the whole I have been impressed with Asset Panda as an inventory tracking system. In the past inventory was tracked using common SharePoint files which were never very reliable and not very user friendly.

With your system checking inventory in and out of our stockrooms has become much faster and more reliable. I like that the customization available on the platform, which maybe daunting to newer users at first, when setup properly, however, gives a great experience.
