It meets what we were looking for in a facility management tracking system.
The program has met or exceeded our needs at this time and appears able to grow and flex as our business requirements change.
The support staff has been great. They are quick and courteous. They did an awesome job helping to integrate the program to meet our needs.
I like the ease of use and great ability to track projects. FMX is as easy to use as my Outlook calendar, and I am able to load both calendars side-by-side and view my months schedule and maintenance requests. The Staff at FMX was easy to work with and helped tailor the program to fit our needs of multiple properties with multiple tenants.
I would like to be able to customize some of the links. But this is minor as we are able to make the program work for our needs. It would be nice to have some of the link tab headers in our terminology.
Make sure to get buy-in from the outside vendors you use, along with your staff. This is a great tool for tracking communication and managing your capital inventory.

There are some areas we would like to see more customizable, but for the most part FMX has been able to meet all of our needs.

The ability to limit what the average user can perform and the custom fields allow the process to be simple and similar to past internal processes the user is familiar with. The ability to filter each screen or module by the information you are looking for and the default filters that best match the past use of our previous products.
It allowed me to immediately combine both our past calendar and CMMS maintenance management into one database also allowing each employee to immediately see a live version of an active calendar. It also allowed technicians to begin an electronic process matching our past paper process of performing maintenance and work orders.
There seems to be a slowness on some filter or screen changes. I suspect that may be due to the vast number of PMs, scheduled events, and work orders already in the system.
All problems have been fixed, and in most cases was only necessary because I did not take the time to watch the provided videos to help explain the differences in my past system. All email requests are dealt with within one business day.
The software is a great balance between the very complex and way too simple or poorly designed cheaper work around. Examples of this include the intense asset management some CMMS products provide that our smaller church campus does not use or may include in our financial software. The price point is not driven by number of user as our previous product was. I like the ability for each user to gain access to the calendar from Outlook, Google, iCal, Webpage, phone, computer, iPod, etc.
Some of the terminology is different that what we have become comfortable with and requires our users to think differently when submitting a request, such as "Transportation Request" instead of our past "Vehicle Reservation Request" for instance.
Understanding the depth of options related to User Permissions, User Notifications, ability to add custom fields and even filter and or sort by those fields allows us to manipulate use of the software in ways that best match our past work flow. Fully understanding that a filter in calendar view affects the export feature also allowed us to send only certain events to our public calendar.

The work order system is extremely easy to use, and communication is maintained on the system.
I would like greater reporting functions and better integration with calendar systems. Email communication is good, but it would be greater if vendors and customers were able to communicate via email instead of logging into the system to respond.
The simple interface is great as well as email communication.
FMX is extremely responsive and adaptable to customer requests.
The work order system is relatively simple to use, both for vendors and school staff.
The reporting function and the need to send an Excel spreadsheet to a customer representative for a bulk upload of information.

The system is intuitive but has certain flaws. Sometime there is a server error and you lose all the info you just input. It needs some minors improvements, but overall, it's great.
It sends simple email reminders about preventive maintenance. It has a nice, customizable calendar view. Work orders are really simple to do. It simplifies the communication between staff. Many files (docs, pictures, etc.) can be stored and downloaded.
It's really great. There's still room for minor improvements, but the team always seems to be working on it.
Great service. The staff is open to suggestions, and updates are done accordingly.
It has a nice and attractive user interface. It does what is supposed to do! They have great service, and their team is open.
It could have a help page to help new users and also a "hovering balloon tips" option.
I chose this software because of the ease of use and the basic task of maintenance, quick work order generation capabilities by anybody, and the non-intimidating interface. It's not the most complete software, but it certainly does the job for a facility that had nothing before.

FMX has been great to deal with on answering questions. Within a few weeks, we pretty much could run the software as needed.
We have several tenants using our system with little to no problems.
It's a great product and is dependable! It is web-based, so it can be accessed from anywhere. The system has rolled out very smoothly.
They have great customer support! Our rep has been great to deal with and is extremely responsive!
I like how little effort it takes to enter work orders and get it to the right people. It's great that it tracks responses and keeps tenants up-to-date on work order progress. It has significantly improved our response times and eliminated a lot of calls from tenants. Less items fall through the cracks.
I wish it had the inventory and pricing module so invoices could be generated with little effort. I have been told this is coming, so that would be great!
If you want a simple software to set up, simple for your tenants to use, and the ability to track trends, this software is for you. I looked at several different types of software and they all did really great things, but were very difficult to use. When dealing with tenants, we need to keep things simple.

The software is an easy-to-use system for running our CBRF facilities. It has helped us coordinate and manage our planned maintenance requests with ease. The support staff at FMX has been a huge help with getting us set up and answering questions whenever they come up. We are in the early stages of using this software and have been very impressed with the support from FMX that we've received. They have offered us training sessions as needed.
We have had no issues to speak of up to this point. Again, if there's something that we don't understand how to use (e.g., how to run certain reports), FMX has always been there to figure out a solution.
I believe other companies will find that this is easy-to-use software. It's very straightforward and a wonderful value for the service you receive. I would recommend evaluating several demos from other companies. You will most likely find that FMX will meet your needs as compared to other software packages.

FMX has been very easy for our users to learn, with menu bars and options that are well thought out.

This product is so easy of use! Our rep has been wonderful. I have asked a million questions, some of them twice, and she is always so helpful and friendly. Suggestions that I have had to improve the product have been implemented. There are so few companies that listen to their customers!
It doesn't quite have all the capabilities I would like. I would really like to be able to print my monthly preventative maintenance report for whichever month I want in the future. Right now I can only choose last month or this month.

Easy to use and train the staff. Even those that do not have much experience with computer skills have been able to learn.
Again, I will emphasize that as you set up this system, first determine what it is you want it to do for you. The software is capable of doing more than what we need for our clients in some cases. The customizable way you use the system will determine how functional it is for you.
We have sometimes had access issues. This has not been a big issue though.
Our interaction with the FMX support staff has been excellent.
TMI Energy Solutions provides Facility/Energy management services to Ohio Public School Districts. After discovering the FMX software, we are implementing this product as a tool for each of our clients. FMX's cloud-based format allows TMI to effectively communicate with staff members in real-time as well as provide an accountable process for all who are responsible for getting the job done. The program is extremely easy to use, and training requirements are minimal.
Just in the 6 months we have been affiliated with the product, we have seen improvements being made to the system. These improvements continue to expand the systematic way the end user can store and access information. Service history on a capital asset and "go to" information available to the person responsible for maintenance, repair, or taking necessary action is key to making and executing a good plan. FMX staff listens to the end users' goals and will customize the software to meet our particular needs.
You will get out of the system what you put in. Taking the time to assess your facility assets, understanding what it is you want out of the system, and having the discipline to require your staff to actually use the system will be the key to meeting and exceeding your expectations.

This product has a great structure for any facilities management company. But what is best about it is that if you need an added feature, or need to change how something operates within the system, Brian and the developers are quick to make the change.
Very well-designed, appealing visually, and - most of all - 100% functional.
Always available, always helpful. You can call your support rep at any time and talk though your issues.
The support is fantastic. FMX immediately made and request or change that we asked for to cater the system to our direct needs.
It is a great system and very functional for facilities management. All of our information for 25 locations is at the click of a button, from cost reporting to work history to blueprints for each store. We can access this information anywhere in the world, which is a huge help for us given the nature of our business and the amount of time on the road.
We have yet to come across anything. They have been very helpful in correcting any issues we have had.
Do your due dilligence, as many of these software companies will charge extra for customization and support. FMX has a great price point and great serivce to back it up.

It's very easy to use. You can access any part of the product from the main page. All items are self explanatory, with easy navigation.
It is perfect for our needs. We use this all day, every day. We can communicate our maintenance issues with ease to faculty. We can also organize our daily schedules. It's extremely helpful to us.

Outstanding customer support! They are always very fast to respond to any issue. They are also more than happy to help in any way. The representatives for the vendor are very knowledgeable and very professional.
The vendor offers outstanding service with extremely fast response times on any issues or questions we may have. The FMX program has certainly helped organize the entire process of our maintenance department. Automatic communication with faculty along with equipment information storage are what I like best about FMX.
There is nothing that I dislike about this product. It has helped us greatly. Also, from day one, the vendor has been very professional, very fast to respond, and more than happy to help with any issues or questions that we may have. I have nothing at all to dislike.
My recommendation would be to try this product out, even if you feel the process you are using now is sufficient, and to use all aspects, such as request for maintenance repair, scheduling, planned maintenance, or equipment storage information.

This product is simple. The ease in which it can be used was a gigantic purchasing point for us. We wanted every employee/customer of our buildings to be able to enter maintenance requests into a system and this one is so user friendly that there just wasn't another option.
The features of this product have allowed senior management to track, review, and analyze workflow and work product for all our facilities and staff. It also allows us to review the product life and dependability of the supplies and products we purchase.
The design concept is a work of genius. In most cases it has been exactly the tool for the job and far exceeded our expectations. In those rare occasions when we wanted to tweak or change the way the system functioned for a particular application, that was not an issue. In fact, during the training and implementation of this project, the design team and owners of FMX were on-site to make sure this was a win for us. You just don't get any better than that.
Unlike some software providers where you can wait days for a fix, this company is live all the time, and it is rare that you don't receive a fix instantaneously. And if a fix will require a little more time, you can rest assured that at least you will have an instantaneous response in the form of an email communication.
This product allows total buy in from our customers throughout the many buildings we manage down to the newest maintenance employee on the staff. It allows the middle managers to excel by giving them the tools to provide timely and accurate work assignments, and it allows them and the customers to track the progress of that work from beginning to completion. The FMX staff is second to none! They are a very skilled, intelligent, insightful, and incredibly interested partner who gives it their all to make sure the customer succeeds.
Honestly, we have not found an issue to speak of with either the product or the vendor!
If you do not give these folks the opportunity to demonstrate this product at your operation, you have truly missed the best product on the market.

As Vice President of Operations for a Central Ohio non-profit organization, I am always looking for ways to become more efficient and reduce expenses. I would have never guessed adopting a new work order system would have helped me accomplish both those goals so easily.
Before implementing FMX, most maintenance issues were communicated verbally or through paper form. My staff does a great job of responding quickly, but sometimes paper communication just takes a while, and verbal communication is hard to track with the "who said what and when". After seeing a FMX demo, I knew it was the perfect communication and tracking tool.
I will admit, being of older age, I was a little hesitant to having everything electronic. I didn’t know if I could learn how to use it. Surprisingly, I picked it up in no time. In fact, in just two weeks, our entire organization was using it for everything. We use it for maintenance repairs, scheduling community and conference rooms, scheduling out vehicles and all preventative maintenance on our buildings.

As a mechanical contractor we were looking for a simple system that would schedule and log preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as well as provide a collaborative means to receive maintenance requests. We also wanted to assign the maintenance request to the appropriate technician. We looked at several different solutions and found FMX. FMX was exactly what were we looking for. The pricing was very straight forward and affordable. There is no software to load, all updates are automatic, the system is always up and running, and it is very simple to use. The QR codes for each piece of equipment allow our technicians to view the maintenance log of any piece of equipment in the field, and execute the PM tasks in the field with their smart phone. The maintenance request feature is simple and allows us to respond to our customers quickly and easily. The PM log has been invaluable when dealing with warranty issues on equipment. The calendar interface and the email notifications make the entire process extremely easy to use and very efficient. The beauty of the FMX software is the collaborative method used to input the maintenance request. Using the FMX has eliminated the need for us to have an office administrator who would receive maintenance requests and dispatch a technician. The calendar and email notification allows all of our technicians to work together to take care of our customers. This has been a huge benefit when one our technicians are out sick or on vacation. Without a doubt, FMX has improved our customer satisfaction, and made our technicians more efficient in responding to maintenance requests and handling PM tasks. FMX customer support was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend FMX to any contractor offering customer service, or to a building owner looking for a simple and highly efficient tool to perform facilities management.

With buildings that total over 300,000 sq.ft. that were built during the depression, my team and I face many challenges in this aging facility. In the past, the method of communicating the facility needs of staff and students has been fairly disorganized, and many times, disjointed. Now that we have implemented the calendar-based, end-user request system that FMX offers, we are much more organized. Everyone that needs to know about a calendar entry is in the loop! FMX has been a huge improvement for me and my team.
In it’s simplest form, FMX performs three basic functions. It...
- Manages facility and IT maintenance requests
- Schedules planned maintenance tasks
- Reserves rooms, resources, or equipment
The ease of use of this calendar-based system eliminates the need for extensive training. As a matter of fact, I believe that if a person knows how to use a computer, they can use FMX. It is extremely simple. Facility and IT maintenance requests for are a snap for staff and students to enter. Once the requests are in the system, we know instantly. Since FMX is designed for accountability and communication, it has lead to higher end-user satisfaction ratings for my department.
FMX also offers students and staff the ability to place schedule requests in their calendar. These requests for rooms, resources, or equipment reside on the calendar, too, and an email is sent to any of the administrative personnel, support personnel, or members of my staff that need to know about that request. This feature helps the approval process and prevents cross-scheduling, since double-booking cannot be accomplished. Everyone in the organization appreciates this function.
FMX assists me and my staff in the implementation of planned maintenance tasks. Since we began using FMX, we are now accomplishing more planned maintenance than ever before. My staff is more accountable, and they work more efficiently. The reports that I gather help my department to proactively plan for equipment failures and maximize the life of the school’s equipment investment.
I am happy with this facilities management solution because it has gotten everyone at the Josephinum working together. Our students and staff are pleased with this product because they know the status of their own requests, every step of the way... from the beginning of the process to end. I recommend FMX because it is truly a cost-effective solution that simplifies facilities management for any size organization.

We started using FMX at the beginning of this school year. There are a lot of good features but the two main ones we use most frequently are the schedule requests and maintenance requests. Of all the help desks and maintenance management programs we have tried, FMX has been the easiest to manage and the fastest to deploy.
The schedule requests feature allowed us to better schedule our HVAC equipment and custodial staff, saving us thousands off previous years. I highly recommend you try out this product and see for yourself. Plus, you can always speak directly to the developers if you have a question or a feature idea.
