Gartner Digital Markets Paid Advertising Associate

We are looking for an online advertising rising star to join our growing team. You’ll evolve your skill set to take on new challenges across the Gartner Digital Markets web properties (Software Advice, Capterra and GetApp). If you have 1-2 years of SEM experience and are looking to take your career to the next level, then this is the role for you.


What you’ll do:

  • Build campaigns. Within six months you’ll be managing 5 or more software markets and managing campaigns in Google, Bing, LinkedIn, and the GDN.
  • Write & test ad copy. You will continually test new text and display ads to maximize key metrics like click-through-rate and visits to our site.
  • Test landing pages. Just as important as ad copy is the landing page that follows. You’ll run and analyze landing page tests to improve performance.
  • Analyze and optimize. You’ll become a master of our in-house reporting system and analytical tools, then manage and improve performance.

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree in a business or marketing related field will give you the foundation you need to succeed.
  • Experience with paid search platforms. You have 1-2+ years of experience using top paid search platforms like Google AdWords, BingAds with a defined revenue goal.
  • Analytical skills. You do your best work when challenged and are able to understand how key metrics play together to maintain a target ROI.
  • An overachieving, self-starting mindset. You don’t meet goals, you crush ‘em. You take risks and push yourself to achieve maximum results.

Who you are:

  • A numbers person. Online advertising is a numbers game, so you won't enjoy yourself if large data sets make your head spin.
  • An Excel wiz. You love working with large data sets and can handle basic Excel functions like filtering, sorting, vlookups, concatenations, and pivot tables.
  • Super organized & borderline compulsive. You are able to lean on your organization and time management skills to take on multiple projects.
