Breeze is a web-based church management solution catering to the needs of small and midsize churches across the United States. Breeze provides an interactive interface to access member details, communicate with members, track donations and giving, manage volunteers, build reports and more. Breeze allows churches to categorize contacts into members, guests, volunteers and staff.

Breeze allows churches to track contributions made by guests and members. Using this functionality, users can monitor the contributions of donors, and generate giving reports based upon a donor’s giving history. The system is completely customizable, and users can update custom fields, as well as import existing data.

Additionally, Breeze features an event management module created to track attendance, generate reports, and more. Users can use Breeze to print name tags for event attendees and can analyze event attendance. The bulk communication feature allows church volunteers to send event information to individuals and groups via bulk emails and text messages. Other features include contribution reports, QuickBooks and MailChimp integration and access restrictions.

In general we love the program. It's a great first step into web based data management at a every economical cost.

Pros

The cost, web based so all the staff can use it and also the congregation can use it as a data base, update their own information, and also see their contributions.
Very easy to use with great online tutorials.
User support, when needed, is very quick and helpful.

Cons

Taking attendance is calendar based and if you have a very large church, it's a little tedious.
It won't easily integrate with our website calendar because all the slides on our website are also calendar based.

This program works great for contributions, online and text to give, emailing and texting members-all things we were looking for.

Pros

We choose this software because of the reviews and the price. We were able to implement it quickly. Any questions we had were addressed and answered quickly and personally. It is very easy to use and has most of the features we were looking for.

Cons

We wanted a place to post volunteers schedules on a page, like a word doc. That was not available. We would have had to fill out a whole calendar each month. We are posting our volunteer schedule on our website instead.

I would highly recommend Breeze to any small to mid-size churches. Larger churches have needs that currently outreach the capabilities of Breeze, but I believe they aren't targeting the larger church market yet so they are doing exactly what they set out to do.

Pros

We were up and running within a few minutes of purchasing the software. Granted we are a small church so we had a limited number of custom field needs, but the configuration was self-explanatory. The help documents cover everything I've ever had questions about. And configuring forms to receive payments took minutes. I've never done a task in Breeze that was difficult to understand or implement.

Cons

I have limited experience with other other church management software tools, but my guess is that this one isn't quite as fully featured as some other tools. But they add new features often and they listen to feedback from users. This tool doesn't encourage collaboration between church members like some others claim to do, but we didn't need that so it hasn't been an issue for us.

The program and the service as a whole are amazing! The program is economical, but certainly not cheap. It has all the amazing features and then some, and it's perfect for any budget. The customer service is phenomenal. There has yet to be a time when I couldn't be helped. There are just some amazing people here who have made it their life's work to help those of us in church management, simplify our work. Amen to that!

For the price, the features and the convenience of this software are really amazing.

Pros

Breeze was super easy to set up. The time to get up and running was minimal. The software feels very response and quick. We were able to input and test with our volunteers in just a couple of days.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about Breeze. We've had no complaints at all. I think contacts were automatically added with maps to home addresses. But this was simple to remove.

I like how this is a web based software so I can access my account anywhere without having to download anything. I also like how it pulls up the information quickly. It is displayed in a clean, orderly, and intuitive way so there wasn't much of a need for software training.

Cons

I wish the display name displayed the First, Last, and Nickname rather than just the nickname and last name when the nickname field is used.

I wish it could also display a middle initial. It would be helpful when there are people with the same first and last name.

I like that it's very easy to use and to input the volunteers, email, and notify certain people about certain events. It's also good to use in keeping a database.

Cons

It could use more features on planning, scheduling, and also in coordinating different events. Check-ins are not as useful for our church or even for larger churches. It would be nice to be able to plan whole events down to the schedule of these events on Breeze.

The methodology behind using tags to manage data in your database is the power and genius of Breeze. This is hands down the main reason why Breeze beat out several fully-featured CRM options we were considering. Once you design your system of tags that is customized to your church/organization, you can assign multiple tags to a person from one screen, AND you can assign multiple people to a tag also from one screen. This makes Breeze so powerful!

Pros

Simplicity, user-friendliness, excellent customer support, incredible pricing - same price per month no matter how large or small the organization

Cons

Maybe not as many features as other competitors, but that's also why their software works as well as it does: simplicity and ease-of-use

It's so easy...It's a BREEZE!

I've used other ChMS, in large churches. When I joined the team at a local church and discovered their type of record keeping, I was shocked! Sticky notes, bits of paper, notations written on the inside of folders. When I asked why a ChMS wasn't being used, I was told the staff was too busy to maintain one...and that the budget wouldn't allow a costly system. Upon discovering Breeze, I encouraged the church to consider it. The lead pastor was immediately impressed with Breeze's offerings! He was "sold" upon learning the monthly cost of Breeze could be saved by discontinuing "upgrades" and modules of other software they were using! I was able to move all the data into Breeze myself, build a small data entry team of volunteers, and establish a dependency on Breeze within just two weeks of signing on! The staff did not have to sit through hours of training, hundreds of recorded videos, or Q and A sessions! They logged in and were able to do what they needed with little to no assistance!

Pros

Ease of use, low cost, quick support, remote check-in.

Cons

I would like to have more control when merging two records (for instance, if I want to keep the cell phone number of Person #1 while keeping the mailing address of Person #2). Currently, all data of one record replaces all data of another record when merging.

Advice to Others

Don't think too long or too hard. This really is a no-brainer. You will quickly see how easy it is to use and you will gain confidence in all the data you are recording for your attendees and members.

We had ACS and at a previous church we used Fellowship one. Both were so clumsy that it felt like I needed an IT degree or an IT department to do anything. Then someone suggested Breeze from a discussion on a youth pastor facebook group. I kept trying to find the flaw to this monthly system. There weren't any and it just keeps improving. Launching new features all the time and most recently a new App for iPhone and android. I would rate higher than 5 stars if I could.

Advice to Others

Just try it for a few months. At $ per month, you can't lose.

Breeze is intuitive, clear, and simple to use. It is adaptable to and powerful enough to meet all of our needs. Customer response and communication has been quick, friendly, and extremely helpful. The ability to add in fields you want is easy to do and seamless.

There is no app. The events page is not sufficient. It is less than adequate in promoting events, but good for check-in. The ability to enter emails is limited to one designated email address per profile. You can additional emails, but they are entered as text.

Recommendations

With any database company, insist on a trial period, which Breeze offers. This was extremely helpful in discovering how comparatively good Breeze is to the others. Know your needs and desires, and see if the database fulfills them without cluttering up the platform with all sorts of things you'll never use. Breeze does this well, and it's one of the biggest reasons it's simple and clear to use.

When we were looking to update our church management software we wanted something that was easy to use, easily accessible from multiple platforms, and simple. When we discovered Breeze we knew it looked like a good fit. Once we contacted them we knew we were right. The founder is always an email away and usually answers questions in a matter of minutes. Breeze is so easy to use its almost unbelievable. Everything that we need is here. And we have Breeze always willing to listen if we have an idea for an additional feature. We love Breeze!

There's not an app that goes along with it - they do have a decent solution, but having an app that you can tell your congregation to download is a really easy way to get as many users as possible using the directory.

Breeze has made it so simple for us to manage, reach and stay connected to our church. I can easily see Breeze being our Church Management site for years to come. After using excel spreadsheets when we first launched and then converting to CCB in our 2nd year, Breeze is what we have been looking for. Breeze customizes so easily. Our church members love the text tool, email tools, tags (people groups), a calendar that links to all our platforms and so much more. The Breeze mobile app has saved our office calls and tasks that people used to ask us for like phone numbers, addresses and directions. Our treasurer really likes how easy it is to enter contributions and print statements. We have only scratched the surface of what Breeze can do for our church. What attracted us to Breeze was the price but Customer Service, Features and Benefits will have us with Breeze for a long time to come.

Cons

Our church has a little bit of trouble locating the mobile app in the app store and then getting linked to our church.

Our church started off with Church Community Builder but after the high price and difficulty of use we started looking for an alternative. After I did loads of research we settled on Breeze and I could be happier. They helped get our info transferred for free. The product is actually easy to use. They don't try to up sell everything... in fact there is nothing to up sell. It's all included. My favorite it texting. You can send a one way text to your people. The first 250 of every month is free then it cost a little for every text after.

Online giving- we used to use EasyTithe ( I still love EasyTithe) but we switched over to using Breeze for online giving too. It was easy and had all the same features as EasyTithe but all in one place.

Pros

Easy to use. Best value by a long shot. No premium features you have to pay more for. They continue to develop the system so they are always improving it.

Cons

It doesn't do attendance tracking by number. Use would need a separate system to track weekly church attendance. Not a big deal because there are free attendance tracker out there.

Advice to Others

Teach you staff to use it early. Teach people one on one. On boarding can be slow but it is worth it.

I am a volunteer at Westbrooke Church and a part of the communications team. We have been using Breeze Church Management System for the last 6 months. It is a very intuitive system that puts communication information and tools in the hands of not only the church staff, but to ministry leaders and volunteers as well. Breeze has provided us an affordable and simple way to organize, track, communicate, and report our church directory, giving, events, and so much more! We are excited to be using Breeze at Westbrooke Church!

Pros

Affordability, intuitive to use, can talk to a real person for support, full online reference support and videos.

Cons

Simple, so some features are not as detailed or robust, but with the continued updates, many features have improved with more options. Volunteer Scheduling might be the only feature to consider major improvements to make it easier to use, but it works nonetheless.

We have been using Breeze for about four months and all I can say is WOW! I actually don't know how they offer what they do for the price they charge.

It really is a Breeze to use and if there is something you can't figure out for yourself a simple email or call to the support team and they will walk you through it....literally....as when I was having difficulty working out something with events and check-in, representative spent twenty minutes walking me through the actual process so that it was set up according to our specific needs and even showed me more shortcuts to make it easier.

Our previous CHMS provider would only provide phone support if we paid an extra fee on top of what was already fives times more than we pay for Breeze. Email support often took up to ten days to get a reply. Breeze is rarely more than 30 minutes to an hour.

Worried about exporting all your data...me too...I am not great with things like this...well don't worry because Breeze imported all of our people and financial data and in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it. Again...WOW!

We are a church of only 550 people and I have not found anything it cannot do up to now and what it does it does very simply. I keep thinking I will find something it cannot do or that is too complicated...but no, not yet!

I find there are some functional things I would personally change e.g. buttons in wrong place on screen that would be better located, but I know nothing about how these things are set up and they just may be something that is not actually possible - ultimately they are small things and probably just my own preference.

Simply put, if you are considering Breeze just do it! Breeze does what it says on the tin and is a pleasure and 'Breeze' to use.

Pros

Very easy to use and self-teach. Incredible price includes email and phone support - very quick response times. Super helpful staff.

Cons

Nothing really. Few functional things about button positions but very minor personal preferences.

Advice to Others

Just sign up. It is very simple to use. Has more features than you probably use but can grow into.

Breeze was a new concept to us - a small company big on functionality. Having come from an expensive ChMS that we discovered was big on extras and extremely short on the basics, we had band-aided our ChMS needs over 5-6 vendors, ending up with 4 complete and another partial database! In three months, we have migrated three of our functional databases - texting, contributions, and check-ins - completely over to one Breeze database! And it will soon do everything except Worship Service Planning and online giving for us (which will integrate with Breeze allowing us to maintain one central database)! Breeze has phenomenal Customer Support, and is continually listening to customer feedback and tweaking their system, all the while keeping things "simple" yet with the full depth of a true database. We love Breeze and are excited to roll out the rest of our systems -- calendaring and event planning top the list -- and explore pieces of Breeze that we have never had, even with our more expensive solutions! Way to go, Breeze!

We have been using Breeze for 2 years and have absolutely loved its ease of use and functionality. We weekly use the check-in features, giving tracking, calendar and people database. This software does everything we need to do on a weekly basis to keep our records in tact and in one place. The customization of profiles is also excellent so you can manage what individual users can access.

I highly recommend this church management software.

Last year our non-profit was looking for a new donor management software and I wish we had found Breeze when we were looking. We've been using an inferior product for the past 6 months, and that is super frustrating!

Breeze is super easy to use, very feature rich and has a very low price point which our ministry needed. They respond quickly to our needs, and even worked with a third-party developer to adjust their API to meet their needs!

I would recommend Breeze to any non-profit, or church.

Breeze is very easy to use. If tech support is needed, we always get a quick reply. When I can't find a feature and ask if it's available, it has always been there and I receive quick, easy to follow instructions on where to find it. I love the quick, informative videos that show how to use different functions. Our previous software was designed by our pastor and he is so pleased with Breeze and has commented on how happy he is with it. The price is unbelievably low at $ monthly with NO contract, NO startup fees, and NO hidden fees. Price includes tech support.

Breeze has fulfilled many needs for our church: a central database, a child check-in, a tool for our ministry leaders to easily connect with others, a sign up system, etc. There are some features we don't use such as payment collection and Finance reporting. But the features we use have helped tremendously. Breeze is easy for anyone to use, even those who aren't tech savvy. I love that it's cloud-based so I can make changes from home or on my phone. It's constantly being updated with new features added. There's so much to say, but it really comes down to the fact that it's aptly named...it's a breeze.

Breeze is very user-friendly, you can customize many of the features, and I like that we can print name tags for the children. My only wish is that it had more advanced functions, such as the ability to link the database to other software we use.

I write software myself, so I was picky when evaluating a solution for our church's needs. When I started testing the demo, immediately I was blown away with how awesome the user interface was - extremely clean and simple to use. So far the software has exceeded my expectations and, when I had an issue, support was responsive (received a response usually within an hour or two!) Support was so great, they actually called me to set up a walk-through to explain a better way I could set up some my events. A+ service.
