Dude Solutions™ provides a suite of web-based maintenance management applications that help streamline maintenance operations with centralized requests, automated maintenance workflow, and simple reporting.
MaintenanceEdge™ includes a suite of three applications. Work Order™ helps manages work order request generation, as well as status tracking and reporting. Planned Maintenance™ allows the user to create maintenance schedules, automate work orders, and assign and manage recurring tasks. Work Order Wireless™ helps maintenance teams receive and manage work orders in the field via any mobile device. Since MaintenanceEdge is a web-based system, it can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection. With no software to install or hardware to maintain (the system is maintained in a secure data center by the vendor), users always have access to the most recent version and the most up-to-date information.
Dude Solutions is the parent company of FacilityDude, which currently serves more than 7,000 organizations in both the US and Canada.

We have been using MaintenanceEdge by FacilityDude for for 4 months now and we love it. The software is very user friendly and easy to use compared to the old software that we had (EAM by Infor). The team from FacilityDude was very helpful with the switch over from one program to the other. I would recommend this software to any one that are look for a good and user friendly CMMS system.
Easy to use, unlimited support from the team at FacilityDude

The training from Dude Solutions was great, and the customer support is amazing. The program is cheap and it relatively easy to use and includes an app for phones that comes in handy on the shop floor. The downside for me so far is the lack of ability to easily define email notification structure.
Affordable, easy to deploy, app for portable devices, and great reporting options.
User roles are limited to predefined categories, and those categories define who receives emails when work orders are created. Also, there is no email notification once the work is completed.
Don't waste $$$ on a similar software, buy this one and enjoy endless customer support and unlimited user accounts.

The product has been good, but the customer service and training has been what has made it a success
There are a few things that I wish took a few less clicks to complete.
CMMS is only a good fit if it matches the way you do things already. Make sure that you are willing to adapt to anything that is different than how you normally would operate.
Liz from Teknion
It's Simple to use, and I like that you can see everything requested.
From what I've experienced so far, everything is working well, I really don't have any least likes.
I don't have any recommendations, at this point, as I find the software really simple, from my perspective.
Chris from Teknion Furniture Systems
Software is intuitive and easy to use. No intensive training required to learn the basic functionality and usefulness. System provides notifications of Work Order status, making follow-up on work completion much more efficient.
Creating new Work Orders with file attachments is unfortunately a 2 step process, requiring first creation of the basic Work Order, then re-accessing it to attach a file. Not really complicated, but could be simpler if file attachment were possible at time of creation.
When setting up initially, ensure database of equipment information is as correct and complete as possible, to prevent need to do so record-by-record after the fact.
Aaron from Teknion Ltd.
The best thing about this software is the elimination of paper hard copies of work orders as well as the ease of tracking and generating the maintenance work orders.
Although the software has a large number of features, some are underused because their placement or implementation in the user interface is not entirely intuitive in all situations.
Consider MaintenanceEdge as easy to implement and maintain because it is a browser-based instead of installed software
Rockson from Teknion Ltd.
Very responsive in terms of communication and training. The product is reasonably in price and has great flexibility and capacity.
The cloud software seems to be less customized than anticipated. Overall, it's still acceptable.
The webinar demonstration is highly recommended with Q&A at the end.
gene from warren wilson college
the ease of user integration for work order managment
some limitations of the software and the learning curve can varied
give it some time before deciding that it is not for you

The software was easy to use and the customer support training team was excellent.
Possible updated look. For example the app actually looks better than the web application on my desktop.
I do not have any recommendations for this at this time.

Easy to learn and use. Great support! keeps great track of PM's and projects.
Not anything I can think of. only been using it for 3 months.
Great support and instructions from a live person. Makes it easy to learn, because you can ask questions as you are learning the system. They do not give you too much info every instruction session. They show you what to do, then give you "homework" to apply what you just learned.
Darryck from Triumph Controls LLC
Product is simple to learn, teach and utilize. Vendor is easy to contact and communicate to. Quick to respond and solve anything we are not understanding. Quick to address any changes we desire.
PDF prints of the graphs could be better quality. However the detail is great
Make sure you understand the support and training that all vendors are providing. Facility Dude is the bomb.
Nathan from Anderson Technologies
The software has the best (easiest to navigate and common sense flow) user interface out of the 4-5 competitors that I evaluated. The sales rep that I worked with was low pressure and responsive to my needs and questions. Implementation cost and annual service costs were very competitive. The after purchase training and setup was also very positive. I have a point person and scheduled time blocks for training and continue to have great customer service 3 months after implementation. In fact my training rep. emailed me today asking how things were going and if I had any questions.
In a perfect world, I would like to tailor the software to my specific needs and industry. Facility Dude is a generic software from the sense that it accommodates the language and requirements spanning several very different industries. I have had to be creative in a few cases with how we classify groups and naming convention. Not a big issue however the inability to have some level of customization would be my only complaint.
Demo's are a great way to interact with the various software packages and definitely allowed my team to make better decisions. Lack of Contracts if your buying the software or using a web based system are also a great way to use reduce risk if the software doesn't provide what you are looking for.
David from PRTC
Maintenance Edge is a fully customizable database. With unlimited users I am able to expand to more than just my maintenance responsibilities. The ease of use and price make this the best CMMS on the market in my opinion. The customer support team at Facility Dude are very friendly and knowledgeable. They walk you thru every step of the process.
I really don't have any dislikes about the product.
When choosing a CCMS you need to plan out you needs and desires for your Facility.
Wesley from UNITED LINEN INC
It is extremely user friendly and the more we learn about the system the more it has to offer. All of my techs were able to navigate through the system and get the basics down in a matter of minutes by day 2 they were creating work orders and asking about searching work history on equipment.
I have had to input all my assets, vendors, manufacturers, etc. the data entry is still ongoing after several months. I would suggest hiring someone for data entry.
Find out the data entry steps IE: first add your equipment classification, then equipment types, then manufacturers , then suppliers and enter equipment last ass you will need all of the others to enter equipment. This will save you a lot of backtracking if you try to jump ahead during your training
Mark from BPM Lumber, LLC
Maintenance Edge is easy to implement and daily use by myself and my technicians is quick. The FacilityDude staff are some of the nicest and easy to work with people that I have encountered.
I am in the manufacturing business (hardwood lumber mills). The heavy equipment and truck application of Maintenance Edge is not quite as interactive as previous programs I have used. The staff is listening to manufacturing clients to make these issues more workable and is making changes in the program to help users of trucks and other rolling stock to make use and the resulting information simpler to enter and report on.
Do your do diligence. take time to look at all brands of maintenance software and talk to current users.
Dennis from The Glencoe Club

The setup is intuitive, and you are easily able to make changes to setup on the fly.
I don't like that a requester can see all requests in the system. I understand the rationale that it allows requester to see WO's in the system and may avoid duplication, but it also gives the requester a window into the Maintenance world that isn't always appropriate.
I would like to see this as a feature that could be turned on or off. I would welcome a response to this issue.
Get a VIP to evaluate how difficult it is to set up the system and the ease and quality of the info it generated. Be real about what features you will use in you operation and that will drive the price point. Acknowledge that you likely aren't running NASA. Keep it simple.
Kyle from DairyChem Labs
This software is fairly easy to use, and the vendor allows for unlimited training sessions with anyone using the product.
Some of the forms and reports that are created are not configurable to our situation.
By and large, all facility maintenance software packages do pretty much the same thing. They inventory equipment and allow for tracking expenses and down time. Spend the time to make sure that the information needed from the system is configurable to your specific situation.
Brandon from The Colonnade Hotel

I like the wide customization of data entry, with a service team that feel like colleagues.
It's not optimized for compiling capital asset documentation for creating a one-stop service for all asset tracking needs.
Couple this program with InventoryEdge, a separate module, but well integrated functional step up into a more sophisticated asset maintenance program.
Joshua from YMCA of the Foothills
As a product, MaintenanceEdge is supported by excellent customer support. The product itself is simple and straightforward once you've learned the interface. The streamlining of requests is intuitive and promotes a more productive work environment.
There are a few holes in functionality that either require long-winded solutions for the end user or aren't possible at all. Searches and filters are rudimentary, and the UI is outdated and clumsy.
With most software, experiencing a product demonstration before investment is critical. More so with software like MaintenanceEdge, where personal taste and the ability to optimize the system's functionality vary significantly from person to person. Make sure the people who will be involved are willing to invest the time to learn the system.
