COBRA Construction Software

COBRA Contractors Software is a construction, accounting and service management suite designed for specialty contractors, including electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors. It combines estimating, bid management, project management, service management, job cost and accounting in a single integrated system. COBRA has a 25-year history and a strong customer following.

We think COBRA is strong fit for electrical and teledata, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing contractors performing both residential and commercial projects. It is designed for small- and mid-sized contractors with less than 75 employees, or that do less than $20 million in revenue annually.

COBRA offers several unique capabilities in its project management, service management and accounting modules. For example, the project management suite integrates everything into one screen – work-in-progress, documents, change orders, aia, purchase orders, etc. Service management helps you manage service calls from start to finish, including schedule/dispatch, access to past service history, planned maintenance, and accurate time and material and flat rate billing. Accounting includes accounts receivable with retainage tracking, cash forecasting, bond reporting. Accounts payable includes automated vendor discounting and sub-contractor certification. The general ledger departmentalizes the accounting information for better in-depth business analysis. Payroll includes union or non-union, certified, time-off, direct deposit with automated tax table updating. Material management links with parts suppliers to deliver automated material price updating. It also allows contractors to plan project labor based on when material is due at the job site, and it automatically catches overbillings by suppliers.

COBRA integrates with QuickBooks, Sage Peachtree, and any other system that can export data in .csv file format. Initial Implementation and On-line Training comes with the purchase of the software. They offer free monthly seminars and webinars on the system.
