Hard Dollar is equipped with functionality for estimating and project management with takeoff provided by their partner network.  In April of 2011, Hard Dollar announced a partnership with On Center’s On-Screen Takeoff module to make the takeoff process more efficient. Takeoffs performed in On-Screen Takeoff are immediately transferred to Hard Dollar, enabling speedy estimating and cost item inputs. In the event that a digital takeoff is altered, Hard Dollar will create alerts that signify which measurements have been changed.

Estimating has modules for visual assemblies, a historical database, conceptual estimates, and “what-if” scenarios. Estimators can draw on the program’s more than 700,000 item costs available on a live basis to make sure they are generating accurate and competitive estimates. The project management application ensures alignment with the estimate given for the job. The project management application includes functionality for cost controls, document management, contract management, and equipment and resource management. A bonus feature included is mobile time sheets, which allow workers and administrators to input labor hours via the Internet. Reports that are generated can be accessed online for analysis anywhere in the world.
