Procore interface is extremely simple to understand and is very straight forward. Do not find myself looking for buttons or commands. There is always a button for the things I want to do. It took me little to no time to know where everything is. I never lose my place and procore always tracks and updates my work. The customer service is also top of the line and there is always someone there when they are needed. Also how subs, GC's and even owners can see things and track the project.

Pros

Ease of use and learning
Customer service
Accessibility

Cons

Some buttons are unecessary and I don't seem to use them

With what part of this program I use there is nothing I can say I would consider a Pros. Its nerve racking, frustrating, if there is any way I can avoid using this program I find it.

Cons

As mentioned before, just logging, and data entry, uploading documents is a project and a half, time consuming, end up calling the contractor and seeing how we can get around this program, half the time the contractor will do it for us.

Pros

They offer learning sessions on using the program with testing at each segment. You can go back and repeat any areas that you are lacking.

Cons

I haven't decided yet. It seems to be heavily focused on self promotion, to me that is yet to be justified. I can say I like it so far.

Over all I liked the product a lot. It seemed somewhat intuitive, and I cant stress how helpful the staff was. We do have a large amount of projects (40 in pre con and 15-20 in construction) we manage and work with a large amount of sub trades. We had two major barriers to implementing the product successfully. First of all most of our subs have were not getting on board and preferred sharing platforms such as drop box and google drive, the second was having to reformat all of our projects already in development into the confines of the software. Were we a smaller company or a company that had a few large projects it would have been ideal. Again the staff was very helpful getting us up and running.

Pros

Customer Support and clean layout.

Cons

Requires a lot of buy in from rest of staff and sub trades to be an effective tool (not completely a con).

Being a small Construction Management Firm that completes a variety of projects in terms of size and cost the program tends to be cumbersome for the smaller projects. It takes a lot of time and attention to detail to set up and can be difficult to navigate through the numerous areas.

Pros

Document control is outstanding. Online instant review of drawings is valuable. Connection with the construction team is outstanding as it tracks and allows communications the program without the need to interface with say Outlook.

Cons

set up is difficult. not overly useful for small project. expensive. costing side is an option, should come with the program

Advice to Others

Make sure that the set up is completed before using. Costing side of the program is a must

Procore has saved more time with all aspects of construction management then we could have imagined. However, the accounting hasn't been what we'd hoped for this reason is why I give 3 stars under value for money. If, as we were lead to believe at the time of our initial purchase of Procore, that Sage 100 would be bridged for accounting purposes. We've since learned this bridge will more than likely never happen. Leaving our company with the choice of double entry (more time), upgrading to Sage 300 (more money), switching to another acounting software (more time training, more money) or cutting the two systems and moving to an entirely new software where both are already integrated.

Pros

Drawings Tool
Bid Tool

Cons

Accounting integration
Directory interaction within the system

Advice to Others

Know that you will need an accounting program that is compatible with Procore for the full benifits.

Procore is certainly one of the most robust contract management systems on the market. With cloud-based access and storage, and smart phone/tablet apps, the accessibility to the software is tremendous. Full capability for big and small projects, CM or GC work.

Pros

Ease of use, accessibility, robust capabilities to service a wide range of needs in the project management world. Integrated with Timberline.

Cons

Cost. Can be quite pricey.

We have been using Procore for over two years, to manage small renovation projects for multiple university projects. We typically have 30 active projects running concurrently, in all phases of construction. With multiple clients (departments), designers, subcontractors, and vendors, it was important to have a construction information management system that was easy to learn and use for many people, without having to pay a seat license for each user. We don't use all of the modules, but the drawing management, submittal, and RFI modules are real time savers. We have also found that Procore makes it very easy to extract and archive project data upon completion of a job.

Pros

Very intuitive interface, plus exceptional tech support via "chat." Very good mobile app allows the architect to answer RFIs right from a cell phone, as easy as responding to an email. This helps gets questions answered quickly. Also, easy to keep up to speed on multiple projects concurrently with dashboards. The automatic e-mail reminders on overdue items help keep the entire team on track.

Cons

The meeting minutes tool is not as intuitive as the rest of the modules, and takes a bit of practice to get used to. Very good documentation once you get through the learning curve.

Advice to Others

I have had the opportunity to work with several computerized construction information management systems through the years -- Procore is deceptively easy to use for the amount of power-information it can handle.

As a project accountant, I have had positive experiences using Procore. I like the template layouts and the ease for the team to access immediate project documents. Procore is user-friendly and easy to learn! Giving four stars on most categories as there is room for improvement in the accounting functions but their service is five star all the way!

Pros

Nice templates, uniform documentation. The Procore team is readily available to assist and they encourage users to submit "enhancement" suggestions to make this product even better.

Cons

A Higher level of accounting functions/interfaces with Sage.

Advice to Others

Take the time to watch the tutorials, they are very helpful!

From the first day we started looking for Construction Management software for our growing company, we were impressed by Procore's USERCENTRIC culture. The product serves our needs well and is constantly being improved, many times based on our comments and suggestions provided through our Customer Success Manager or their own "Post An Idea" section of the Support and Feedback tab. With the In-The-Cloud offering, we can access the software from any number of devices at any time of the day or night. Our collaboration use during the month is amazing with 2 out of 3 users being outside of our company- that being Owners, Architects and Subcontractors.

Pros

The people and their attitude towards listening to any comments and acting on it. Their Customer Service is second to none! The completeness of the software accounting for any task that you need to perform on a construction project.
Many of our users are up and running without any training given the ease of use of the software- very intuitive.

Procore seems to be slower than some of the other programs I have used and is not always applicable to the real GC environment. It could be a little more flexible when adding/sharing data. The cookie cutter approach can be cumbersome. The good parts about Procore are that all information can be on "one" site. Even though the real document flow needs to be a bit extended.

Pros

The setup is great and accountability is a given. The support (chat) people are awesome and so far have been able to answer any questions we have in the field.

Cons

The speed and missing structure/ideas for document flow for the normal files of a project. This program should house all of the documentation that is being handled on a job site in order to ensure paperless processes. It would be much better if there would be a flawless connection from Procore to Bluebeam as this program is still needed for changes.

Advice to Others

Surely a program that is very well worth investing in. In today's environment with high employee turnover it is costly and time consuming to piece together the document flow when a team member leaves. It seems that with Procore this puzzle can be put together easily - and that includes the endless search for e-mails and proof for decisions.
