With Procore’s easy-to-use and collaborative software, users can manage their projects at anytime, from anywhere, with any Internet-connected device.

Since their founding in 2003, Procore has appeared on Constructech's list of "Hottest Companies" and named one of INC.’s 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies for the second year. The software currently supports over 800 companies and boasts a user base of more than 500,000 users.

Procore offers a strong project management application with superior, yet easy to use tools for managing schedules, documents, RFIs, drawings, submittals, and more. Firms can also integrate the system with scheduling files from Microsoft Project, Primavera SureTrak, and other industry standard scheduling tools.

Procore operates under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, allowing general contractors, project managers, as well as architect and engineering firms, to buy the software on a subscription basis to manage and automate their communications and processes—saving ample time and money.

General Contractor's Perspective

Ease-of-use

It's pretty good, but it could use a few more user-friendly options.

Functionality

It meets a significant amount of our needs, but it could improve on functionality.

Product Quality

This is a high-quality product. The cloud-based factor takes a little quality away, but access from anywhere is worth the tradeoff.

Customer Support

Excellent customer support. I have always had every issue with Procore resolved within a day or less.

Likes Best

Changes can be made to best fit our company.

Likes Least

It can be difficult to use if your company processes do not directly mirror the software.

Recommendations

This product will save you time and effort; it will increase your productivity and your ability to manage a higher volume of work.

Large Multifamily project experence

Ease-of-use

The ease of entering data is great. Some modules need a search function.

Functionality

The RFI module is clean and useful. Both the prime and commitment change orders are clean. A report showing the lineage to each other would be helpful.

Product Quality

The program provides a good user interface and presentable graphics. The photo section works well for clients.

Customer Support

They are very responsive. Tech support is readily available via chat. User comments have been incorporated into the program.

Likes Best

I like how easy it is to transmit information in a large digital format.

Likes Least

I don't care for the way Procore assembles documents with multiple attachments.

Recommendations

Consider peer ease of use. Procore is easily shared if your peers are willing to use it.

Feedback 2014

Ease-of-use

The menus and submenus can be difficult to navigate. Streamlining this would be helpful.

Functionality

Total customization of features would be the ultimate.

Product Quality

It's solid cloud-based project management software. We have been pleased overall with Procore as company, and we use the product every day we are open for business.

Customer Support

Our support rep has gone above and beyond in servicing our needs and helping us customize features to suit our business.

Likes Best

I like the functions and the ability to customize features tailored to our business.

Likes Least

Load times can be slow on Procore Servers. It takes extra time to update and get data.

Recommendations

Get to know the product and "kick the tires" before submitting an accurate review.

Kim Levins

Ease-of-use

The training videos are helpful. The accessibility to our PM is really helpful. ProCore is always there to respond. Live chats have helped me more than a few times.

Functionality

It doesn't communicate with our Accounting software. The bidding tab is not as user friendly as some other tabs. We love it, though, even if some aspects are not as helpful as others.

Product Quality

Very sophisticated. We still have a lot to learn, but it has been a great tool in streamlining our project management.

Customer Support

Excellent. No issues whatsoever. I have contacted the support team at least a dozen times, if not more, and that's after our five training sessions. I think their team understands the complexity of ProCore and appreciates the needs of new clients.

Likes Best

It saves a lot of duplicate entry, and the tracking is top-notch.It gives a professional look to our management, which is something we lacked before. Now all of our PMs' way of management is the same. Our company 'brand' is now shown throughout all documents, and the accessibility options for the project team members is really top shelf.

Likes Least

We use Spectrum as our accounting software, and ProCore is not compatible. Because of that, we still cannot streamline both sides of out company (PM and Accounting).

Recommendations

Be honest. It is the only way to help the technical team make improvements.

Scott Construction Procore Review

Ease-of-use

It's intuitive and straightforward. It seems to work how you would expect it and seems to be well backed up.

Functionality

The punchlist and drawing functions need some work. The email function isn't too easy to deal with.

Product Quality

It's well-designed and seems to work well. Tech support is well supported.

Customer Support

They are responsive and good people to work with. Our early experience with the product has been positive.

Likes Best

It's easy to use and has good tech support.

Likes Least

THe punchlist capabilities are limited, and the email function is a bit difficult to work with. The drawings are also time-consuming, especially when uploading an label.

Recommendations

Understand what your company wants out of the software and ensure you don't try to do too much with it.

Owner of GC company

Ease-of-use

It's intuitive and has a clean layout. It's also user-friendly and very sequential.

Functionality

It could use a pay application and an online banking tie-in.

Product Quality

We are only a couple of months into using the product, so it's hard to give a full assessment of the quality.

Customer Support

They are excellent and responsive. They have been very helpful with our setup and customization.

Likes Best

I like the functionality and service.

Likes Least

The pricing isn't scaleable for a small GC company; most competitors provide a sliding scale.

Recommendations

Try Procore! It covers most of the day-to-day functionality required for a GC business.

Procore Review

Ease-of-use

It's difficult to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot easier. Deleting/adding users is not the easiest thing.

Functionality

It has been the best in sending plans, meeting minutes, bid lists to people, as well as uploading photos.

Product Quality

It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. Quality is good and reliable.

Customer Support

Customer support is awesome. They are always very helpful with our company or vendors.

Likes Best

It's easy to send large files to bidders. It's organized and has countdown reminders. There's no software to download because it's all online.

Likes Least

The directory function. I want to be able to add vendors on the fly rather than having to go back to the main directory every time.

I would like a better way to send an RFP to 100+ people at a time instead of individually searching for names or typing in 1 name at a time.

Recommendations

Know the difference between a project directory and the main directory.

Understand permissions and how they can affect people's ability to get certain files.

Procore Review

Ease-of-use

Very intuitive. Some of the change order functionality is a bit of a challenge at first, but once you figure it out, it's not so bad.

Functionality

It allows us to track all of our Project Management needs other than accounting in an efficient way.

Product Quality

I have not found any issue with quality. It is so much better than our last product that I have nothing negative to say.

Customer Support

The quick turnaround when questions are asked is huge.

Likes Best

The ease of use is great. The fact that it is all web-based and now additional server space is required was a big selling point. The customer service is great. When we used an Oracle-based product we couldn't get anyone to listen to us, as we are not a big enough client of theirs. The continuous improvements made to the product are also impressive and keep us extremely content.

Likes Least

There is nothing we do not like about the product. The problem we are having is trying to figure out how to transition from paper to electronic with our field employees.

Recommendations

Do a tutorial and see why it can be a huge asset to any GC.

from 2KG Contractors Inc
Specialty: General contractor
Size of portfolio: 2 to 5 users Portfolio size: 2 to 5 users

Easy to learn

Ease-of-use

Everything is well-explained, and the dropdowns make it easy to fill in large amounts of data.

Functionality

We needed a collaborative program that vendors could use without it feeling complicated, yet if they choose not to use it, it is easy to upload as needed. Our goal was to cut back on the time of inputting data and saving more time for managing. Procore does that.

Product Quality

The only concern with quality is the slow page loading.

Customer Support

They have been willing to help, and they keep in touch when it takes a little longer to get to your needs.

Likes Best

I like the support and the ease of understanding how to do things. If I have a concern, I can click on the video and get a quick update or chat with someone to help me right there without having to call in.

Likes Least

It's slow uploading from screen to screen. When doing repetitive items, you have to go back to the main screen without an option of moving to the next item. It's like you go to the beginning after every entry to get to the next. With the slow page loading, this is time consuming.

Recommendations

Look for something that is intuitive. Knowing that what you're getting can move you to the next step quicker with less data input saves time.

Very well-designed software, nice mobile apps. Could use more modules

Ease-of-use

Very easy to implement. They provide good training videos at every step.

Functionality

Yes, but not as much as we expected. We expected more in the way of task management/milestones.

Product Quality

There are no bugs that we noticed. The site is up and running without delays majority of the time.

Customer Support

Great support. They are very responsive by phone, email and chat.

Likes Best

Everything is in one place; it's web-based. Mobile apps are nicely done. Customer service is very responsive. You can have an unlimited number of users.

Likes Least

It's lacking an estimating module and QB integration. We also wish that it had a CRM module for marketing/sales efforts. Also, it is not good milestone/task management software. It has those items, but they are integrated with scheduling and are not available in mobile apps. It is pricey compared to other SaaS project management software packages.

Recommendations

We've evaluated a few other services, and this one was the most fitting software for us.

It's been a hit and miss situation.

Ease-of-use

As an admin for our company, I used Procore daily, so I am familiar with the product, but newcomers outside our company found it very bothersome and confusing to use.

Functionality

We were not able to incorporate Procore with any of our customers, leaving it only a filing system for our company.

Product Quality

It's very well-designed. It just did not fit our specific needs. I think for someone who did not have to deal with the government, it is perfect.

Customer Support

I could not ask for better! The chat option is a great bonus. I liked knowing that even if the problem was not a quick fix, someone was there that you could tell your issue to. Sending an email, you never know when it is read. Chat removed that concern.

Likes Best

I loved the available support assistance anytime it was needed. They were very pleasant to interact with.

Likes Least

The product was not able to move into the direction that we needed for our own company. There was no way to add options that we would like to have available. The one-for-all needs did not fit well with our company's needs. Our vendor had a lot of trouble with the bidding tabs and made sending bid pages more of a hassle to worry with, so we ended up not using the tabs.
The permissions were very complicated. It seems very easy to use and change, but the consequences of the options were not clear.
The submittal tab is awful. It takes a large amount of time to add everything in a package, and the approving process takes about the same amount of time.

Recommendations

For a new company, this is a wonderful product! I would suggest anyone starting up a business to jump in, but for a company that solely deals with the government, all the notification systems, submittals, emails are all useless. The password requirement to access anything that is emailed already is a horrible requirement to expect the government to use.

Procore Review

Ease-of-use

It can be cumbersome navigating from tab to tab. The site can be slow at times. I have used Procore for a couple years now, so I know the ins and outs. However, many of the new users that I get hooked up with Procore take time to get acclimated. Overall, Procore is great for the "Power User" or administrator, because they typically set up the project organization. You get out what you put into this softwhere. A good initial setup will result in ease of use for the project.

Functionality

Yes, we utilize Procore for RFIs, submittals, transmittals, document storage, emails on occasion, and bidding. The daily log tool isn't very useful, as only one log can be kept per project.

Product Quality

This is a very good construction management software that can be used by GCs, owners, and subcontractors. The markup tool and a few other tools could be improved, but the primary tabs have great functionality.

Customer Support

We've had direct contact with an account manager for as long as I've used Procore. We've done training sessions, feedback sessions, demoed new features, and had a good overall relationship.

Likes Best

RFI, submittal, and document features are extremely useful. These are the most important construction management software tools, and Procore seems to have mastered them.

Likes Least

The drawings tab isn't very useful, and the directory is extremely cluttered. There are lots of repeated companies.

Recommendations

Ease of use is priority. A lot of people in our industry are not very sophisticated. Less is more with software like this.

Administrative Assistant for Design Build Company

Ease-of-use

It's super easy to use. The video instructions are very helpful along with customer service.

Functionality

I am on the design side of the business, but we are still able to utilize this software so that by the time it goes into construction, they have all the info background.

Product Quality

The great thing is that the managers are willing to take suggestions of things they can do to improve the software.

Customer Support

Awesome! They always called back, emails are always replied to, and the online chat is great!

Likes Best

It's very easy to understand. There's no real need for customization, although they will if you ask.

Likes Least

Sometimes it can be a bit slow, depending on how much usage it has.

Recommendations

Like it more and more as time goes by

Ease-of-use

It's very user-friendly.

Functionality

It takes care of online document storage and sharing, RFIs, submittals, project photos, etc.

Product Quality

There's no downtime. There's occasional scheduled maintenance, but they give plenty of notice.

Customer Support

They are very responsive to our needs. They respond quickly and do their best to accommodate our needs with software modifications.

Likes Best

The software is very user-friendly. The functions are set up to use in a manner that you would normally do outside of Procore.

Likes Least

It's not interactive with our accounting software. This is the one issue we have with Procore

Recommendations

Procore is the best software decision we have ever made

Ease-of-use

Within a week, I had three projects loaded into the system. We have integrated this system into our everyday workflow, and it has made our lives so much easier.

Functionality

Once we sat down and discussed how we would implement the product, we haven't had to revise our plan. Everything is seamless.

Product Quality

The fact that I can call our Representative at any time about any issue is worth the price alone. Sometimes, it is just for her opinion on how to handle a paperwork issue or just to ask silly questions. The staff is beyond helpful and extremely wonderful.

Customer Support

The best customer support I have experienced in my 27 years in this business. I would recommend Procore to everyone.

Likes Best

This product is so user-friendly. We have our subcontractors, owners, architects, and staff all working on this system. It keeps everything so organized and straightforward. Before we started using Procore, I had to make project books and update them almost daily. Now we load the information into Procore and everyone can access what they need.

Likes Least

I love this entire program. I have no negative reviews.

Recommendations

I would say that they need to do the demo that is offered. The demo sold us completely on this product, and once we started using the software, it was just as easy as it is shown to be in the demo.

Ease-of-use

Product Quality

The presentation quality and data connection is very well done.

Customer Support

The customer support is excellent. You can chat with tech support within the software; I have always had responses within 5 minutes.

Likes Best

The user interface is consistent and easy to use, and the tech support is fast.

Ease-of-use

Construction is logical; the layout is clear. The training videos are helpful.

Functionality

The Prime Contract module can not be used in the real world.

Product Quality

There are no bugs; upgrades are good, and the system is reliable. It's also useable across different platforms.

Customer Support

They have West Coast-based times. It would help if hours were longer.

Likes Best

The software is easy to learn and use. It is built in a way that closely matches the way our business runs. Support is solid.

Likes Least

The Prime Contract module is just not useable. It does not support real world use.

Growing up with Procore

Ease-of-use

Sometimes, it's over dependent on web access and the requirement to tie back into the system rather than a standalone report that could be sent to a client.

Functionality

It always evolves to our needs and requirements. The multi-app support is a great addition, and I'm excited to see the development of the drawings functions.

Product Quality

Good build. Some items change without notice, and that is hard to adjust without active communication.

Customer Support

It's always very responsive to requests for assistance. We receive responses and followups in a timely fashion.

Likes Best

I like the development and growth. Listen to the user community on advancements and developments.

Likes Least

Sometimes, they focus on smaller clients or on financial elements, while missing out on some of the other key factors that would apply to all users.

Recommendations

I would recommend finding a multi-user platform with no fee structure that is used widely by your sub-community and promotes sharing of information.

Great PM Software

Ease-of-use

This software is very easy to use. If you know how to send an email, you can use this software.

Functionality

The Daily Log Tool does not allow you to have employees without a Procore account in the time card. You can not have 2 daily logs for the same project (for example, if you want to track change orders in a different daily log).

Product Quality

It needs improvement in the Submittal Tool. It does not combine the cover page and attachments. When you send a submittal, the receiver gets an email and the cover page. Then he has to click the attachment which does not have the Procore cover letter combined.

Customer Support

Customer support is great. They are very responsive and helpful.

Likes Best

Their support is great.

Likes Least

The integration with accounting software is a problem.

Recommendations

I would recommend making suggestions to make this software better.

Good program. Hard to get everyone on board.

Ease-of-use

It's about what you'd expect for a many-faceted program. There are quirks that take some getting used to.

Functionality

We do large, custom residential work. We work with many small/"Mom & Pop" contractors who have no great incentive to get on board.

Product Quality

In general, it's very thoughtful and all-encompassing. There has been some freezing up, especially in using the daily log.

Customer Support

Every time I've used customer support, I've gotten a helpful answer, even if I want to do something that the program will not allow. The help has been knowledgeable and patient.

Likes Best

I like that everything is in one place.

Likes Least

There's a learning curve. It's difficult to get everyone to use it, so we've ended up doing many things the way we used to.

Recommendations

Keep in mind many other people have to get comfortable using it for it to be the all-in-one solution you thought it might be.
