Procore Construction Software

Procore is a cloud-based construction management software application that helps firms increase their project efficiency and accountability by providing streamlined project communication and documentation. Users are able to manage their projects from any web-connected mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Procore provides users a way to collaborate on projects and view documents, such as submittals, RFIs, contracts, schedules, and drawings. Everyone from general contractors and architects to engineers and construction management firms can edit and share project data from the job site while facility owners can view the progress of each project in their portfolios.

Enterprise-level businesses leverage Procore to manage construction projects, field communications, drawings, documents, and more.

Procore operates under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, allowing general contractors and project managers to buy the software on a subscription basis.

Great Program for Field/Office Use

Procore has been great to work with, they are very responsive to our requests and suggestions. Procore listens to the users and takes the feedback very seriously. Our company entered the game very early, and Procore has been very involved in helping us get where we need to be to efficiently utilize their product.

Pros

Procore provides a great tool for not only our field personnel but our office personnel, to keep everyone on the same page and working with current information. Our superintendents do not need a trailer/office on site, they have access to all the tools they need on their iPads and phones through the Procore App.

Cons

Currently, Procore is not integrated with our Accounting software so there is duplicate entry on some levels. Procore is working diligently toward that integration to ease this burden and make the program compatible and functional for our field and office to easily communicate.

Job Site Functionality and Mobility Enhanced

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Customer Support

Pros

Procore allows you tie your job site and office work almost seamlessly. The mobile app allows you to check submittals, documents, drawings, and specs on your phone without needing to be chained to your computer or to return to the trailer to look at a note on the plans or in the spec. It allows your photos to be uploaded to the same location as the photos your superintendent takes. And everything syncs up nearly perfectly with the desktop app that provides, even more, features and tools to efficiently manage your project.

Cons

There are no major cons, just minor ones within individual tools. For example, not having the option to create sub-folders in the Photos Tool is odd. This is just basic folder structure that would allow the tool to be much cleaner. Another example is the inability to save files directly into Procore. Currently, you have to save them to your folder, then upload them to Procore. This is a lot of extra work if you want everything on your project in the palm of your hand.

Pros

Everything i need to make our projects move forward is in one easy to navigate space. No more needing to be at my desktop to get the information i need in the field.

Cons

There are some features such as Procore Drive acting like Dropbox on my laptop so my DWG xrefs would always be able to load. A little bit more custom-ability in some of the tabs, like being able to customize the status of observation responses.

Procore is constantly updating and making tools easier, adding more options. Procore LISTENS to the customer and delivers. The customer support is unbelievable, they take the time to talk to you and find a solution to your problem.

Pros

The simplicity of use and the ability to customize many options to what I want for my company. So many tools designed with the construction professional in mind rather than from the financial aspect. This is truly a "construction management" system!

Cons

Haven't found one yet! I have been in Procore for almost a year and although some of the products and tools may not be perfect, Procore is making continuous advancements to make their tools productive and effective for the construction professional.

Overall Procore is a great tool. I look forward to continuing to better integrate into our processes so we get the most bang for the buck.

Pros

Ability to store photos and other progress documentation in a central location from any device at any time.

Cons

As a sub tier, some of the workflow doesn't make sense. This is customizable to make it a little better, but we haven't been able to master it to date.

Pros

I come into my job learning how to use a complicated excel sheet heavy with macros and lots of technical errors. However it got the job done efficiently. Procore simplifies the process even more with greater reliability.

Cons

The set up process has been drawn out, not so much by procore, but by people not wanting to change over delaying the process.

Better then any mobile or web based project management tool I have ever used.

Pros

User friendly interface that is easy to pick up and free to share with clients and subcontractors. The drawings features are the best.

Cons

Wish pictures uploaded to daily logs would show up in an album in photos. The mobile app is lacking any company level functions.

Very User Friendly, This product takes what we all do on several different platforms and rolls it all together, thus getting your entire company on the "same page".

Cons

Cost, this product is expensive. You do get what you pay for, but it makes it very hard to sell to upper management.
