Ease-of-use

Pros

Procore condenses all your information into one place. No need to head back to the file cabinet. File reports, take photos, submit RFIs, all from your tablet. Head back to your desktop to perform a deeper dive if needed! The best part-everyone can have free access to it-subs, your team, subs of subs. No more excuses!

Cons

There are occasional syncing issues, so just close and reopen the app. Also, make sure your permissions are set up properly ahead of time!

I think the software is great and will look forward to the constant changes to the software to continue to make it the best software in Construction.

Pros

The ease of use and training of new employees in on the software and they say how easy the system is to use.

Cons

The only con to the system is the ability to edit specifications within the tool which you are not able to do yet but will soon come I hope. The other is the ability to overlay a drawing onto an existing drawing whether it be a ASI or answer to and RFI with just a change of a detail verses a whole new plan page.

Pros

Easy to use, many platforms. Procore saves time and money on construction jobsites. It helps communication on all levels.

Cons

Not customizeable per region. There is a bit of a learning curve for non-technology type builders, but is easy to overcome if you reason with them.

We love it at our company

Pros

It makes everything seamless and in real time. Makes tracking everything very easy and makes different parties accountable for various tasks.

Cons

Some of the functionality is hard to convey to someone who has never used Procore. Some aspects aren't as user-friendly as others. That is being very picky, it is a great program.

Best document management software I've used so far

Pros

The user interface is easy to use and set up. Procore gives the user options of what active tabs to include in each project which allows for a customized experience.

Cons

The drawing management feature is a great tool in maintaining a history set of construction drawings but the upload time can be rather long.

Pros

The features and abilities are endless. The potential to manage the entire project from bidding to financials and scheduling to closeout all in one place is enticing.

Cons

Because there are so many features, the learning curve to adapt this software is extensive. It is sometimes hard to get subcontractors to effectively use the program.

Pros

Ease of use and the amount of different tools. I was the person who was tasked at our company for finding a replacement to our previous software. After the search, Procore blew all of the others out of the water when you considered both the Project Management and Field Management aspects of it.

Cons

While Procore updates their product all the time, there are some tools that don't seem to quite get as much love as the others but that are still vital tool / component to the management process.

Both field and office teams find value in the use of Procore, so much so - the saying goes, "If its not in Procore, it doesnt exist"

Pros

We are able to grab qty's installed, manpower, and schedule dates from Procore to develop earned value curves - graphically - within an instant lets the teams know if they are on track.

Cons

Team is always looking for the next feature rollout, Procore teams non-committal to implementation dates.

Pros

Very easy to use!! Most of our superintendents have a really challenging time using their computers or any digital technology. They were able to pick up an i pad and use it within the first minute.

Cons

There is less functionality on the mobile application than the web based application. I would like to see more functionality brought over to the mobile app.

Pros

As a company with many divisions, personalities and skill sets, the thing I appreciate most about Procore is the ability to force uniformity amongst the teams. I have the confidence that each individual is running their projects on the same format and style.

Cons

The lack of customization as a Subcontractor is very frustrating. As a Sub I cannot share information with a GC on the same project with both of our Procore accounts. I have to double enter RFI's and responses on the GC's Company on Procore as well as my own.

Keep up the good work with the changes. Procore definitely listens to their customers and tries to keep up with all the practical comments.

Pros

I always hated doing meeting agendas and minutes. In word it would take a lot longer to produce and format the document and then following up with the minutes afterwards. Procore takes the work out of it, all I have to do is create the item for discussion and then I can move it around in the meeting agenda before I send it out. Minutes after the fact are easy and then follow up meetings just carry everything forward that isn't closed.

Writing, submitting and tracking RFIs and Submittals is also a lot easier with those modules. Less paperwork means I spend more time doing what needs to be done.

Cons

There is always room for improvements. Our biggest issue is integration with our Financial software. We unfortunately use something that Procore is not equipped to handle, primarily because not too many are using it.

Pros

The 'Drawings' section is awesome! My favorite is being able to quickly compare revisions and make markups right within Procore. Attaching visual markups with RFIs are a snap. Using the software is pretty intuitive, but if I get stuck, customer service is a quick live-chat away.

Cons

It's expensive, and may be hard to justify for smaller construction industry companies, their OCR still has trouble reading "handwriting" fonts which can really slow down the upload process if a large job is being uploaded, but it's definitely improved quite a bit in the short time I've used it!

It makes my job easier because I have so many documents at the palm of my hands with the app.

Pros

I like the simplicity of the software. Procore seems to do a good job of updating their software and continues to improve and functionality.

Cons

My biggest complaint is that creating and sending an observation is a two step process. It should be cut down to one because sometimes we forget about the second step and our subs don't get their corrective action.

The software helps me tremendously in organizing all my project files and keeping track of who owes me reviews.

Pros

What I like most is the "ball in court" section where you can clearly see who owes a review for a submittal or RFI. In other programs I've used for CA work the documents are tagged with who will need to review but you never know who is holding up the work until you meet with the owner and the rest of the construction team.

Cons

I would like the ability to alter comments. For some reason once I reply to an RFI or submittal I can't figure out how to change my comment in case I made a mistake.

Pros

Cons

The print functions allow widows and orphans in their print outs. I wish there was more control over the aesthetic output of the minutes. Spacing of words and paragraphs would make events easier to read. Also I do not like words being chopped off at the end of sentences.

Greater efficiency of the work force and project team. Everyone was very enthusiastic to jump on board and learn the new program. Pros
