Procore is a cloud-based construction management software application that helps firms increase their project efficiency and accountability by providing streamlined project communication and documentation. Users are able to manage their projects from any web-connected mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Procore provides users a way to collaborate on projects and view various documents, including submittals, RFIs, contracts, schedules, and drawings. Everyone from general contractors and architects to engineers and construction management firms are able to edit and share project data from the job site while facility owners can view the progress of each project in their portfolios. Enterprise-level businesses leverage Procore to manage construction projects, field communications, drawings, documents, and more.

Procore operates under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, allowing general contractors and project managers to buy the software on a subscription basis.

It is web based and can be accessed anywhere, it has unlimited storage. It is a great way to manage your project from anywhere and for future need after the project is completed.

That you cannot set up templates folders and have the documents in those folders follow the folder. Meaning, I have standard folders set up for new jobs but I cannot have files in those folders that is the same on all jobs, it will not move the files. You also cannot copy a range of sub folders into another like folder such as the 12 months of the year repeated in several folders.

Recommendations

Give the Procore software a try. You will like it.

The schedule of values entry tab needs to be on the main entry page of the contract/ PO/ Change order so that you do not have to switch tabs to enter it then save it then go back and change the status and then email.

Recommendations

Look at what other software you can eliminate to help cover some of the cost of Procore.

I love Procore because we are a small company. Using Procore to access all of our projects - no matter where we are or in what stage the project is - has been ideal. I love that I can track how used - what they did, etc. I love that Procore tracks our plans. I also love that when we have a need - Procore is willing to work with us to develop a tab (app) to fit our need.

I hate that most of my subs don't like to use Procore - I honestly think that they feel intimidated by the system. However, once they use a couple times - I think they do not mind.

I also can't wait for Procore to integrate QuickBooks.

I really enjoy the one on one support that Procore gives you. They are very accommodating and in my honest opinion are one of the best support teams I have experienced. The ease of use of their system, with unparalleled training experience make this product a 10! They listen to you and understand your needs and are always looking into product enhancements.

I would say that currently the reporting functionality is lacking, however there is potential for advancement especially since they are working with us to establish connection to their API. This will help us to pull our data so that we can build custom reports internally.

This is an excellent tool for all Project Management needs. All in one, easy to use, beast! It really covers all aspects where other systems lack. Accounting, Estimating, Scheduling, Document Control, Project Management, etc. Very easy to use/learn!

Get it and use it. Make the switch. It takes some up front time to make the switch but the time you save after that makes it more than worth the up front time.

Procore is fairly easy to use. Most tasks are very intuitive in how they work.

ERP integration with Sage needs work. The SOV line items get jumbled when pushed to Sage.

The relatively new financial integration of Sage projects which is causing our management to resist linking the systems until additional project trials have been completed.

Recommendations

Don't just look at what the system does, look at the customer service and tutorials available in Procore versus the others. They are light years ahead of the competition on user support.

There are several things that need to be adapted and altered to conform to the individual company. A lot of management companies handle situations differently and there needs to be a way to integrated this into the software platform.

The real-time aspect of being able to update plans, etc. and the fact that everything can be sent to/from the program and is easily tracked and traceable.

I researched, recommended purchase and implemented Procore at the company I worked for and used it for a year before leaving and starting my own company. I went back to Procore and was able to work with them to get this in the budget of my new company. It has been a tremendous asset in getting this company off the ground and running from the beginning. The organization and collaboration it provides have proven invaluable in the time and effort I save in managing the projects and am able to focus on other aspects of running the company.

Haven't found much that I don't like yet in over a year of using the system that the customer support team hasn't been able to modify or teach me how to use effectively.

Recommendations

If you want to have more organization and tracking capabilities on your projects while reducing your time and effort to do so Procore should become a valued member of your project team! The money spent is well worth the results that you can receive!
