With Procore’s easy-to-use and collaborative software, users can manage their projects at anytime, from anywhere, with any Internet-connected device.

Since their founding in 2003, Procore has appeared on Constructech's list of "Hottest Companies" and named one of INC.’s 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies for the second year. The software currently supports over 800 companies and boasts a user base of more than 500,000 users.

Procore offers a strong project management application with superior, yet easy to use tools for managing schedules, documents, RFIs, drawings, submittals, and more. Firms can also integrate the system with scheduling files from Microsoft Project, Primavera SureTrak, and other industry standard scheduling tools.

Procore operates under the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, allowing general contractors, project managers, as well as architect and engineering firms, to buy the software on a subscription basis to manage and automate their communications and processes—saving ample time and money.

Intuitive and comprehensive

Ease-of-use

It's intuitive. The buttons are obvious and every feature has a training video on the bottom left of page.

Functionality

It's clearly designed for a GC on a traditional design bid build platform. With experience, it can be modified or tweaked to better align with a Design/Build or CM platform.

Product Quality

It has more features than any other construction software that I've researched.

Customer Support

Their team members are always available and respond quickly to your questions. The support team is willing to listen to your input. Free form customization is available when you sign up.

Likes Best

I like the Integration and the excellent communication capabilities. It's accessible anywhere and eliminates work duplication.

Likes Least

It takes some tweaking/loss of features to make it work for Design/Build or Construction Management.

Recommendations

It's not the least expensive product, but it offers the greatest value. It will pay for itself in the productivity you gain.

Procore Review

Ease-of-use

It's user-friendly because it easily breaks down the categories and makes information easy to find.

Functionality

I find the RFI system has some unnecessary categories that are confusing.

Product Quality

It has excellent visual explanations, which allow us to identify the categories.

Customer Support

I've never used the vendor's customer service, since I have not had any issues.

Likes Best

Procore is extremely easy to understand and very user-friendly.

Likes Least

I do not like that I need to get authorization to enter info on a project every time I move to a new project or house.

Recommendations

I would recommend thinking about this program unbiased to the program which we are involved.

Keeps me organized

Ease-of-use

It's fairly user-friendly. I should really take some training to learn more, though.

Functionality

This is great for us, especially when we have three construction projects going at once.

Product Quality

Probably the best out there! I'm very pleased with the quality.

Customer Support

Good. I like the live chat option and knowing there's a real person on the other end.

Likes Best

It's easy to use; I learn something new every day on it.

Likes Least

Some parts of the drawings tabs don't work as well as I'd like.

Recommendations

Nothing. Overall, I'm pleased with all aspects of the product.

State of the Art PM software

Ease-of-use

Some functions are a bit tedious to navigate and share with subcontractors

Functionality

It's fully functioning PM software.

Product Quality

I have not found any glitches.

Customer Support

They always respond promptly and completely.

Likes Best

I like the completeness of the PM functions, the customer support and that the vendor is willing to customize the system.

Likes Least

The price and the upload function. It would be nice to have copy and paste capabilities

Recommendations

Make sure you use all of the functions first.

Tiger Construction Procore Review

Ease-of-use

Somebody who walked in off the street could figure out how to use it in a matter of minutes with no training.

Functionality

We send through a lot of RFIs and submittals. That's what this software does.

Product Quality

There were very few outages. Any problems are fixed quickly.

Customer Support

Great. I frequently use the instant message support tool.

Likes Best

The website is very intuitive for new users.

Likes Least

I really haven't found any downsides yet. It's done everything we've asked it to do.

Recommendations

Choose one that you think will most likely be easy for architects and subcontractors to pick up quickly.

Streamline Communications On All Your Projects

Ease-of-use

We have employees and sub-trades that have very little computer experience that catch on very quickly.

Functionality

Procore has more tools in it than the current company even uses. The biggest benefit on functionality is that it makes it easy to share all the project information with all the stakeholders of the project.

Product Quality

We never have any crashes or glitches. It is very well thought out, and Procore continues to add features and functionality to make it an even better product.

Customer Support

I've used many software systems for the construction industry, as well as some other industries and never has the support been as solid as with Procore. I know I can count on them for help and answers.

Likes Best

Procore provides impeccable customer service and support. The product is easy to learn to use to start with, but with their added support, there is no reason for anyone at any tech level to not be able to use the system.

Likes Least

I find it a bit cumbersome to update the drawings tab with a new revision of drawings, but the mark up tools make it worth the time it takes.

Recommendations

Support is so key when looking at a software that will be used by a company. It's great if you can learn it, but unless you have the time to teach and support all the staff that will be using it, this should be a major factor to consider and what is that support and training worth to you?

Execellent Experience

Ease-of-use

The tabs are easy to use, but it would be even easier if you could make log updates directly from the log screen on most of the tools.

Functionality

Ccloud-based sharing of data is great. I like the iPad technology as well.

Product Quality

I think it is cutting edge on technology. iPad technology is great.

Customer Support

They are very quick to respond to email and issues that come up.

Likes Best

Cloud-based project management solutions are the only way to go these days. Procore provides excellent customer service.

Likes Least

Some of the reporting tools do not match or customize to what we would like to use.

Recommendations

Find the best price and cloud-based solution. Also, look for a provider that is keeping up with technology trends.

Smooth Operator

Ease-of-use

User-friendly. Having the chat feature is very needed, and I use it a lot. The teaching videos are also perfect: fast, concise, and easily available.

Functionality

It's been great so far. I love the automatic reminders for RFIs and Submittals.

Product Quality

Well made; everything flows together. The dashboard is a great way to get a quick overview of your project. You can then easily dive into anything that needs attention.

Customer Support

Someone is always available when I need them in the chat window. I've had a few emails that had to be repeated, but overall, I'm not unhappy.

Likes Best

I like the ease of use; it's very user-friendly. It's also a great way to bring the rest of the design team in and involve them with the process. I love the ease of sending drawings out too.

Likes Least

You can't make sub-folders in photos. It may improve when Sage integrates with Procore, but right now, it's double or even triple entry to track subs, costs, billings, etc.

Recommendations

Try it for a while; find your favorites and work out the bumps. It's like a new saddle.

Procore review

Ease-of-use

Simple user interface. I like the iPad and iPhone apps and functionality on Android and Mac/PC.

Functionality

It works for the entire life cycle of a project - from bidding to close out.

Product Quality

It is a well-thought-out product that is easy to pick up and run with.

Customer Support

Live chat is a good option and usually quick. Sometimes, during off hours, it is difficult to get support.

Likes Best

It keeps track of my projects and is user-friendly for the entire company.

Likes Least

Lack of customization or speed to get items customized if applicable.

Recommendations

Before evaluating software like this, I think a few months of trial would be beneficial. You need to try it to see how well it works.

Procore Review

Ease-of-use

It's very easy, and the contractors like it, too. Everything is automatic.

Functionality

We needed a cloud-based program that would keep the owner, GC, and consultants on the same page during construction. Procore does just that.

Product Quality

Everything is thought through for use to setup and use out of the box.

Customer Support

Awesome. So many ways to chat, link it, or discuss over the phone. The videos are great too.

Likes Best

One central location for RFIs and submittals. We like the compare on the drawings tool and autofill.

Likes Least

Uploading PDFs to the drawing directory. We like the way PlanGrid organizes PDFs and links the callout tags.

Recommendations

Photo management. Have the latest photos show first. Mark up tool or function for submittals.

Architect's perspective

Ease-of-use

Assigning items to different parties isn't as easy as it could be in Submittals.

Functionality

It tracks CA items well. The submittal process is getting better now that multiple people can markup online.

Product Quality

It's user-friendly, and I like the 'chat' help. That is the best tool they have.

Customer Support

The chat help is always quick. I hate having to search for stuff that can quickly be directed in a chat.

Likes Best

It helps keep track of CA items. Keeping current drawings is very easy with this program, and it keeps everyone on the same page.

Likes Least

Assigning items to different parties isn't as easy as it could be in submittals. Rather than 'edit,' I'd prefer a 'reassigned to,' so that my consultants can respond back to me, and I can review it before 're-assigning' it back to the G.C. In our scenario, it is the architect who has Procore, not the G.C., so it'd make things less confusing for other architects in our office. Many are resistant to using Procore.

Recommendations

User-friendly software is the best thing to look for. Software that automatically tracks C.A. items is a must.

I work for a Design/Build firm. This is the project management software

Ease-of-use

The way it is set up is pretty self explanatory the way it is set up. The layout makes sense.

Functionality

I just wish it worked with more financial software programs.

Product Quality

PDFs are the way to export, and that's normally what you need when emailing.

Customer Support

We have used the online chat and have also reached out to our account rep; they listen.

Likes Best

It is easy to use, customer service is wonderful, and the videos are a huge help. It keeps the entire project in one place. They do the backup for you.

Likes Least

I wish they had more financial software packages that it worked with.

Recommendations

Watch the videos; play around with it in a "Sandbox."

Key Tool for our Organization

Ease-of-use

The site is organized well and easy to navigate. Options are clearly identified, and the hint text in dialog boxes makes things pretty idiot-proof.

Functionality

The only thing it could do more for us is integrate with our accounting software so we can eliminate time-consuming and error prone duplicate data entry. We have to manually enter information generated from Procore into our accounting software. However, it is telling that we choose to use Procore for many, many functions, despite having to double enter information.

Product Quality

Pretty good. My only complaint here is the system mandated formats for reports and outgoing system emails could be greatly improved, or at least let the end user work on their own versions if they (Procore) are not going to spend any time on it.

Customer Support

Pretty good. Our interactions with product managers are typically better than those with the support desk or even our assigned account manager. Too many times, I've heard, "Sorry, we can't do that for you; the system is not capable" or, "Sorry, that feature is not yet in development; it needs more user votes before we move ahead with that."

Likes Best

It's very easy to use, with an intuitive interface. They are responsive to user needs/wants with product updates and functionality improvements. The upcoming integration with Sage 300 software is a huge plus.

Likes Least

User creation options are somewhat rigid, as email addresses are used as the key identifier, which is fine most of the time, but we still have clients and customers who use a single email address for an entire organization. Procore assumes that everyone has their own email address, which would be true in a perfect world, but we're in the construction industry, so the reality is that a lot of our vendors still use fax machines.
There's a lack of customizable email message formats, which is really a bugger, since the format that Procore's system emails use is confusing, cluttered, and not intuitive or user-friendly. They're focused too much on Procore branding/marketing instead of providing easy-to-use core functionality for end users who may not be familiar with Procore or how it works.

Recommendations

Make sure you have a plan for implementation. Often, the process of evaluating and selecting the PM software is arduous and tedious, but you have to see it through to the end and make sure you provide the organization with a clear picture of where this fits in your day-to-day ops. Set up procedures ahead of time on how things are to be entered, organized, shared, etc. Otherwise, it will be underutilized and tossed aside by the employees, who will revert to their comfort zone and go back to doing things the old way.

Procore is a great tool.

Ease-of-use

The program is easy to navigate, and people tend to pick it up.

Functionality

It meets our needs in terms of construction documentation maintenance.

Product Quality

A design issue I would change is the "admin" directory settings. Giving someone access allows them to change any and everything. It'd be nice to have the opportunity to be conservative with permissions.

Customer Support

Good. I like the online chat support. It's easy and fast.

Likes Best

I like the online chat when I run into questions or problems. The people on the other end are always helpful.

Likes Least

I don't like how certain settings run in the middle of the night. We've had a few architects mention their phones go off in the middle of the night, alerting them they have open items. You'd think the alert can go off at a more civilized hour. The response I got from the online chat was that this item had to go to the "engineers," and the architects should respond and close their items. The reality is if it's alerting them after 12am, it's a nuisance.

Recommendations

Make sure to research every crevice of the program. We do run into hiccups that didn't come up during our training sessions.

Early Stage of Implementation

Ease-of-use

We are still getting used to the application, but it seems that you really have to have your intended use well mapped out in advance to accommodate a thorough set up.

Functionality

It's lacking in scheduling and budget tracking; we expected stronger components in these areas.

Product Quality

It has a web-based, original design, which is very good. It seems to be easily accessible. We have not fully field tested yet.

Customer Support

Sometimes, it takes a few days to get a reply; they are probably thinly staffed.

Likes Best

The convenience of cloud based application, which brings together our design team, design documents, etc.

Likes Least

I expected a better scheduling component and budgeting component. It will require us to use another application for these items. The one-size-fits-all cost structure doesn't really apply.

Recommendations

Be clear about your goals for the application; otherwise, you could spend a lot of time figuring out how to best implement.

Great way to manage project documents!

Ease-of-use

The trailing tutorials walk you through every major aspect of the software, and the overall layout is very simple to pick up.

Functionality

We cannot use the invitation to bid portion of the software.

Product Quality

The mobile apps and ease of use are ideal for novices with technology.

Customer Support

Customer service has been unmatched by any other software we have used.

Likes Best

The ability to set up a project in minutes and choose which tabs are associated on a job-to-job basis.

Likes Least

The inability to send invitations to bid through fax. This portion is not used by our company because a lot of subcontractors still use fax to receive invitations to bid.

Recommendations

Consider your company's need in each department and determine the extent of your use of the software.

Best Construction Software Out There (Esp. for working remotely)

Ease-of-use

There's a slight learning curve, but most users will find it simple before too long.

Functionality

Almost every module is helpful, but CORs and cost tracking are lacking at this time.

Product Quality

It has a good interface. There's hardly any down time and very few glitches. Customer support is quick to fix any problems.

Customer Support

Excellent. Everyone I've dealt with at Procore has been extremely helpful.

Likes Best

The ability to work remotely, the ease of use, mobile apps, and the focus on applications specific to construction users.

Likes Least

The change order/change management log. There's a lack of cost/accounting control (the integration is coming in the future, apparently).

Recommendations

Procore - The easy construction software

Ease-of-use

It's easy to use; you get the hang of it very quickly. It's almost too easy - to the point you wonder if you're doing something wrong at first but it is really that easy.

Functionality

It functions very easily, especially during bidding.

Product Quality

It's awesome! The navigation and interactions are quick and painless.

Customer Support

The customer support is very helpful and easily reachable

Likes Best

I enjoy how easy and straight forward everything is using Procore. It is also easy to integrate employees who are not "computer friendly," which can be the biggest challenge when introducing the software

Likes Least

Overall, it is great, but when I upload an entire architectural set, I have to add a title and name to each and every single plan page. So if I uploaded just one combined PDF and it was 60-70 or even 600 pages long, I would have to slowly work my way through everything. They should eliminate this and only title just the one combined PDF. The subs will know what page they are looking at by the title block at the bottom.

Recommendations

Try it out a few times and you'll get the hang of it.
