There should be more integration to other software packages currently used in construction.

The whole Procore interface is so easy to use and they provide great tools along the way. We rolled out Procore over a year ago at McC and have had very few support issues.

User friendly; the availability of training (video's, knowledge base and chat features); developers constant effort to upgrade and improve system.

The reporting functionality is very limited. While there is built in reporting the ability to get the data out that you need for your particular business processes is restrictive. All fields in a tool are not open for reporting (you can put the data in, but can't get it out).

Recommendations

1) Ease of Use, user adoption
2) Functionality across platforms
3) Training
4) Reporting

It has made our tracking process way more efficient and allowed our subs to come on board very quickly with the training videos.

Times out a lot and you will have to log out to correct this issue. The submittal organizational chart does not allow for an option for two people to approve at once. One must approve first and then the next person in line. It has to go in order which sometimes proves to be an issue.

Recommendations

There are pros and cons like any software. Try to have someone champion the software before trying to just throw it on a project.

- The lingo is not construction oriented with limited choices.
- For Submittals - Open & Closed option is not enough. Same for RFI's.
- Some printing capabilities don't work properly for the user.

Recommendations

The program needs some revisions to get what most construction companies need.

I like that Procore welcomes user comments/suggestions and actually implements them before many years pass.
I also like that the daily logs from multiple users can be seen and edited by other users on the team.
The training videos are a great idea and help as well!

Likes Least

The reports function is limited. I did not see a good option to print daily logs into
a decent report. It also might be nice to view multiple daily reports instead of them only
exporting as a zip file when you choose more than one day at a time.

Recommendations

I haven't used this much, but I will use the suggestion/comments sections once I am able
to review the other areas of the software.

cannot break out change orders when they are applied to your contract SOV. Why does the change order let you enter multiple lines in the CO SOV but them lumps them all into one item when you apply it to your contract or draw requests?

Change orders also only show up on draw requests as lump sum items, why cant they be show as a unit cost?

Recommendations

I think they should see my above two sections of things I like best and things I don't like.

The best thing I like is having everything in one place and the functionality and capabilities to keep everyone on the same page. It allows for people within an organization to better track the process and avoid duplicity.

Likes Least

As with any program, there are kinks and quarks that will be worked out as the user gains more experience with the particular program. That is where I am at, working out the kinks and understanding the processes within the Procore system.

Recommendations

Think about all the time spent communicating and making sure everyone is on the same page and the amount of paperwork to manage a job. Obviously when it comes to the building itself; good communication is still needed but this program allows you to stay more focused and organized. Everyone is able to log in and see exactly where the project stands. Just to name a few, it includes submittals, punch list, and change orders without having to track tons of emails and mail. I can only imagine with Procore's success, they will only keep expanding on this already impressive program.

Procore is very user friendly and has a great working interface. It's easy to find documents, upload documents, post RFI's and Submittals. It's also extremely efficient in tracking those items as well. The feature of sending things to a PDF is used every week by myself and team members to send out to everyone for tracking purposes. The meeting minutes tab is very beneficial as well. Overall this product is fantastic for what I use it for.

Likes Least

Sometimes it seems like I get 2 or 3 emails for the same items such as RFI's and Submittals. I guess it could be caused if I am assigned to the task and also in the distribution list? Not sure.

Recommendations

Give it a try and start messing with the settings to help benefit the outcome you want with each tab. We set up the meeting minutes to show the past 2 weeks minutes which is extremely helpful.

Without a doubt the best thing about Procore is the cross-platform availability. Whether I'm on my laptop or out in the field with my iPad or only have my Android phone, it's all there and the interface is clean and intuitive.

Likes Least

There are a lot of little issues I have as a former IT guy, with tenure as a union carpenter, and now as a site manager for a construction management company using this product. The worst I think would be the workflow for scanning in files, renaming them, placing them in their respective folders, and finally linking them from the Daily Log and other places; it seems very disjointed.

Recommendations

There are some videos available to you through the Procore website, but I recommend looking on YouTube and searching for the Procore training files. There you can see the basics of using the software.
