Pros

Easy to use. Free instructional videos with certification. Any computer, tablet or phone can access your project. You can mark up your project, send out updated plans, utilize RFI's and CCD's. This software keeps your entire project team up to date at all times. Easily share what you want with whom you want. My favorite feature is that Procore always lets you know where the most recent print is located. No more searching through Addendums and CCD's to find the most recent and up to date print. Procore does it for you and lists all the prints in an easy to read format.

Cons

I have yet to find a negative side of this software. This product is incredible. If I find something negative then I will update my review.

I am very sad that I will not get to use this software to do my job anymore.

Pros

It has all the components of project management tools in one spot. It was so easy to implement in the field that my guys didn't mind doing their reports.

Cons

This software is really expensive. It is worth every penny if you can afford it. I work for a large concrete company and the cost to implement this in our large company was too high to continue using it.

Procore in New Build and Renovation

Ease-of-use

Pros

ProCore has many functionality tools that (when used on an IPad), can help with walk throughs, photo documentation, checklists, etc.

Cons

This is a program built strictly for New Build and its functionality does not roll over into the renovations field.

The Inability to copy and paste Cost Codes to make a specific job unique without recreating cost codes.

ProCore is great for plan and spec tracking

Ease-of-use

Pros

I like the drawings and spec features of this system. It's easy to upload new sets without losing prior versions. I also like how plan sheets are automatically named based on the title block.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to create a submittal register more easily (less manual entry) based off of the specification sections.

I really enjoy using Procore

Pros

Ease of use, great features, functionality & easy for first time users to catch on. The cloud storage of everything on ProCore makes it portable.

Cons

Nothing really, but it does get frustrating when there are issues with the servers and ProCore doesn't work right during my busy day. Especially when you rely on it!

Pros

Procore is very user friendly and is perfect for project management on any type of job. It's also a great source for getting information out to everyone involved with the job.

Cons

Pros

Procore condenses all your information into one place. No need to head back to the file cabinet. File reports, take photos, submit RFIs, all from your tablet. Head back to your desktop to perform a deeper dive if needed! The best part-everyone can have free access to it-subs, your team, subs of subs. No more excuses!

Cons

There are occasional syncing issues, so just close and reopen the app. Also, make sure your permissions are set up properly ahead of time!

I think the software is great and will look forward to the constant changes to the software to continue to make it the best software in Construction.

Pros

The ease of use and training of new employees in on the software and they say how easy the system is to use.

Cons

The only con to the system is the ability to edit specifications within the tool which you are not able to do yet but will soon come I hope. The other is the ability to overlay a drawing onto an existing drawing whether it be a ASI or answer to and RFI with just a change of a detail verses a whole new plan page.

Pros

I use it everyday to organize my work and share/collaborate for projects with my team members. Procore is an integral part of our workflow.

Pros

I like that there is a written record of all work. It is easy to record meetings and decisions, which makes the ordering process and procurement process easier

Cons

It can be cumbersome to share information or for subcontractors to get familiar with how to upload/download and log in. It should be more intuitive to use so that less training/on-boarding is required for subs

Better clarity into the activities, documentation and critical information associated with our project, which number in the hundreds. Procore allows us to easily collaborate with our employees, outside members, other consultants, our clients, etc. Perhaps most importantly, Procore enables us to better serve our clients by keeping critical project information together in a trusted system. It has even enabled us to compete with much larger firms by showcasing the quality of work product produced from within Procore.

Pros

As an Agile-led development team, Procore is constantly improving their product through extensive analytics and actual customer feedback. This is a process I've witnessed first hand. In terms of the product, Procore integrates all the key tools needed for managing projects in the built environment. In addition, the product helps reinforce best practices in construction project management, which coming from a forensic expert, that's definitely a good thing when it comes to proactively managing risk. If more companies simply relied on tools like Procore for managing their projects, there would be a measurable decrease in claims, disputes and litigation.

Cons

Despite extensive multimedia training materials, Procore remains a very difficult tool for onboarding new employees. In addition, the Procore marketing materials didn't set proper expectations for the overhead required to implement Procore company-wide. Additionally, Procore has made the decision to really focus their tools and the language used for describing those tools on very specific roles - primarily general contractors, at-risk CMs with trade contractors and engineers occupying the second tier or class of clients. For agency CMs, architects, other consultants, etc., use of the product is somewhat different from how the documentation describes it.

There is not enough customization in the setting up of SOVs in the requisitions. I also hate contacting customer support. Many give answers to issues with "I think" or "I believe' they never know with certainty. I also do not like the small talk they want to have at the beginning of the chat .
