Sage Project Lifecycle Management Software

We like the fact that Sage offered this solution as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. It means that construction firms can pay according to a subscription model, and employees can access project documents 24 hours a day – as long as they have Internet access. This means that employees of construction firms will be able to access and modify project documents day or night.

As one might expect, the product focuses primarily on project management with a strong emphasis on documentation. The Sage Product Lifecycle Management solution includes functionality of drawing management, photo management, document control, and facility management on a best-of-breed basis. A bid management application is also offered but only as part of the integrated suite.

Although Sage offers Product Lifecycle Management as a SaaS offering and according to subscription-based fees, we do not recommend the solution for smaller firms. We find that most smaller firms don’t typically need this sophisticated feature set in their construction software. We believe that companies don’t need this kind of functionality until they hit or surpass $25 million in revenue.

We find that this project services building owners, construction managers, heavy & highway construction, home builders, and real estate developers. We should mention that government, both state and federal, branches are especially well-suited for this product
