SharpeSoft Estimator Software

SharpeSoft was created back in 1986 and was actually built by an estimator. The inspiration for SharpeSoft came out of dissatisfaction with the options on the market at the time. This product brings first hand knowledge of the construction industry to their construction estimating offering.

SharpeSoft offers cost estimating software on a best-of-breed basis and includes functionality such as "what-if" analysis, historical databases, and a proposal generator. Some of the more advanced features offered in their estimating software allow users to accomplish tasks like prorate jobs.

Sharpesoft also offers functionality for project management but this application must be purchased as part of an integrated suite. Their project management software provides standard features such as document control, contract management, time sheet tracking, and equipment and resource management. The software can also automate things like requests for quotes (RFQs) and material components.

We recommend this product primarily for its capabilities in estimating. However, SharpeSoft is still a solid solution for companies that need takeoff but are focusing primarily on estimating. We find that the product performs best in the earthwork & excavating, paving, heavy construction, and related industries.
