Maxwell Systems American Contractor Software

American Contractor™ is a full suite solution built to handle the needs of contracting firms with a strong focus on project management and accounting functionality. Software also has applications for estimating, bid management, takeoff, scheduling, customer management, and service management. American Contractor™ is a solution built for construction firms of a variety of sizes, targeting firms in the $1 million to $50 million range. American Contractor™ is a flexible system that can handle trades from residential remodeling to earthwork to utility contracting.

This program must be purchased with the accounting application, which is feature-rich with 19 modules built into the application to keep project financials in order. The software contains features to handle prevailing wage reports, document managment, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, materials billing, and AIA billing in addition to other features. The accounting functionality is fully integrated to allow construction contractors to manage their entire operation from a single source.

This product is currently on version 8.2 which released updates to the bank reconciliation module to improve search capabilities and include a function to un-reconcile accounts on demand. Other notable improvements came to usability with features to manage active views from multiple sources (vendors, customers, and unions) and capability to print views from Excel, PDFs, or Word.

The software can integrate with other Maxwell Systems offerings such as Maxwell Systems Estimation and Maxwell Systems Quest Estimator.
