Batchbook Software

Batchbook is a cloud-based social customer relationship management (CRM) system that enables small and midsize businesses (SMBs) to create rich customer records. Custom fields allow you to flesh out contacts with detailed information unique to your business or industry. Batchbook also pulls email interactions for each contact, as well as relevant social information from Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Tags and customizable lists make it easy to group and segment customers depending on their recent activity or status in the sales pipeline. In particular, Batchbook’s Champions feature allows you to “star” highly valuable customers for quick access and sorting. Tasks, email reminders and calendar notifications then ensure that your most important deals won’t fall through the cracks.

Batchbook allows contacts to be easily imported from spreadsheets or vCard files. In addition, it fits any screen or device, with mobile-optimized views for contacts and deals. Batchbook also features integrations with leading SMB solutions for email marketing, help desk, social media monitoring and accounting.

I love how flexible and expansive each contact can be, along with the social media piece. I also live by the lists I create, making it easy to see who is due for a follow-up card or whatever I need.

The cost for new clients is the only reason why I hesitate recommending it for new entrepreneurs. It would have been too prohibitive for me back when I was starting out, and probably even now.

Figure out what you need and don't over complicate. Realize they'll be a learning curve, too, and put the time aside to really learn the system and make it work for you.
