Buffer is a Web-based social customer relationship management (CRM) solution that manages and schedules posts on social platforms. It integrates with multiple social platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and Pinterest.

Buffer’s “Schedule” tab enables users to publish online content at a specified time, day or frequency, even during offline hours. It also enables users to create a customized queue of posts according to different time zones.

Buffer’s “Analytics” tab provides performance measures of each post on social platforms, stated by number of likes, comments, shares, retweets, clicks and views for the pages. In addition, the software’s “Link Shortening” feature allows users to share a unique link for an individual update to track responses of particular campaign.

Buffer is designed for 24/7 access from any Android or iOS compatible mobile device. It also offers a browser extension for Chrome, Safari or Firefox for page sharing.

Love it. Use it.

Pros

Buffer is a company that does one thing, and they do it very well. You can create and schedule social media posts on Twitter, Facebook and more. The best part is that they don't make you schedule every single post -- you can simply create content and add it to your queue or "buffer," and it'll be posted at the best time, or on the schedule that you set for the week.

Cons

It's not good for social media monitoring, just for posting. You can add posts to your Buffer to be posted later, but you'll need another tool in order to do community management and engagement.

Buffer is not only and incredible product, but the company's philosophy of transparency is just inspiring. I've reached out to them dozens of times asking in depth questions about their data and they share it freely.

Cons

Buffer is brilliant for making the most of my content, allowing me to tweet out at different points in the day so that more people see it.

Pros

I use Buffer daily to schedule posts here at Jumia. It has been a great tool so far

Cons

Free plan is limited, I have to pay every month

Android app can be hard to use, sometimes stops working with no clear error message

It helps build and maintain my online business presence.

Pros

I love that I can have an online presence even when I'm taking time off. This ensures my audience is happy and informed. I'm profitable every hour of the day!

All aspects of using Buffer are intuitive and simple. I was up and running within 10 minutes of reviewing the software.

Cons

I'm hoping there will be an update for brand partnerships on Facebook. Right now, it's not possible to pre-schedule Facebook posts that have been paid or are linked to a branding partnership.

Buffer is great for someone like me who is a social media manager and needs to handle multiple different accounts for different companies. It is great for scheduling, very convenient, but they could work on developing more features, such as tagging.

Pros

Easy to figure out how to use. Can manage multiple accounts.

Cons

I cannot connect my Google Plus account, because it is a special account. Also I would love to see tagging for Facebook.

Advice to Others

Recommended for anyone, but specifically if you are going to use this professionally.

Was one of my first applications to use to manage and program in social networks, its user interface is incredible

Pros

easy to use, very intuitive, it has a section for content creation that it is very useful

Cons

on its free version it as a limitations for publications for days and limitations on more than one account

Advice to Others

It where one of my first options to upgrade from the  free version to a pro version, but it seems a little expensive

It's important to state that I only know the software as a free user. I also use Hootsuite, but my preferred method of social media management is Buffer, although it does not offer everything I am looking for. If I could afford it, my choice of social media management would be MeetEdgar, but my business is not on that kind of scale yet and I can't afford it.

I use Bulk Buffer to upload bulk uploads, but the pain of it is that I have to go back to Buffer and upload images for each status. I don't know how the premium packages work, but on the free account, that is painful.

All in all, I recommend Buffer for the person starting out.

Pros

Easy.
Affordable - I'm on the free account.
Well known; lots of resources for it like other 3rd party applications.

Cons

It does not do everything I want it to do, but there are no other social media management tools that do, so you can't hold that against Buffer at this stage.

Advice to Others

Try it. Much easier to start and use than other tools and you don't have to study how it works, as you can figure it out pretty fast.

I really enjoy using Buffer. Social Media posts are a little overwhelming these days, but Buffer allows you to schedule posts at various increments so that your followers' feeds are not bombarded and the content you post is seen. I definitely recommend this resource.

Pros

The ability to schedule social media posts throughout the day.

Cons

When using Instagram, you have to open the app on the phone and paste the caption at the exact time you scheduled.

It's an inexpensive service, can be used as a google extension. It makes it easy to share a page you may visit online. With one click I can send 1 article to up to 10 platforms.

What we love about Buffer is its simplicity: it just works. Having multiple social posts queued up saves us time and energy - we can batch our social work so we don't get behind and things don't become too cumbersome. What's more - it's new integration with the Que service makes it even more valuable for our company. Now we can let these two giants work behind the scenes for us! I do wish that they would add more features (see: sendible), but I do appreciate their simplicity and attention to detail.

very awesome tool for small business social media. Very simple to place content into your social media pipe line and Buffer will drip out content as much as you want it to. You can even schedule for weeks out, depending on your situation. Overall very convenient tool and very effective.

Pros

Very simple to use, easy to navigate, fun to load up social media and watch the content feed out over time with out you doing anything.

Cons

Customer service really lacks. There is NO phone number listed anywhere on the web. This made things difficult when trying to contact the company and discuss my account. One I did get though, Custom service did serve me well and higher than expected. So overall it turned out good, but not having a phone number really made things hard for me when I had an issue that I needed to discuss. Thanks
