I have been exposed to several management platforms in my 7 years in the nonprofit world, and so far, DonorPerfect has been my favorite: easy to use, holds all the data I need and allows me to manipulate it in the ways that I need and has superior reporting capacity. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros DonorPerfect is quite user-friendly. I was able to quickly make sense of the data presentation and get started right away. Overall, DonorPerfect is a pretty good platform. Unfortunately, after using this platform for a year, we feel it was probably better for our organization to stick with DonorView. We have good customer service with DonorPerfect, but something to consider is that we shouldn't need to reach out to customer service as often as we do. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros We've experienced some good customer service with DonorPerfect, and the price for the package - especially with the inclusion of Constant Contact, is good. #### Cons Poor Quickbooks integration, downloaded reports not automatically in currency format, and end-of-year donation reports are not good. Our last platform was DonorView, and DonorPerfect has some great features, but then much of the products are cobbled together. This is not helpful. Whenever a report is needed, we have to chat with support to get the extremely long set of instructions to generate the report. Additional problems that we found were the different ways to set up receiving funds, either directly through DonorPerfect, or through GiveCloud. Functionality changes for the choice of one or the other. Finally, the icon labels for a donor are not helpful. Take for instance a donor who is a monthly giver, but gives by check. The monthly donor icon does not show up and we can't manually tell the platform to do so. #### Reasons for choosing DonorPerfect Network for Good was outside of our price range, although it was an impressive platform. #### Reasons for switching to DonorPerfect We had DonorView for over three years and we were hoping for more functionality, better product for the money, and ease for our platform. --- ### A Big Contender In The Fundraising Marketplace.... - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Robin K. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Education Management - Company size: 51-200 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: March 2026 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. I do wish there were more integrations with other platforms, and there are obviously some cons listed above, but nothing that we would stop using the platform for. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros The ease of use continues to be a positive for this platform, along with self-paced and instructor led training which allowed us to onboard a new employee very quickly. Also love the chat feature to get answers in real time vs. having to email and wait for a response. #### Cons They have a drop and drag donation forms section. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. Overall, I would say minus some things here and there that have been "glitchy" or not helpful (i.e. reporting, deposit sections that I use on a weekly basis) this platform gives me everything I need to use for our donors on a daily basis! Customer service could use some help after hours (I.e. have an emergency response team for people that work outside of their work hours or have a different time zone) but other than that it is excellent and helpful! #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I have found it most helpful to use donor perfect to organize and schedule donor contacts whether email or mailing them a hand written note. I also love that I can label and and see at a glance helpful information right on the beginning part of the donor's profile. The section called narrative has been helpful to use for quick notes I need our team to be able to see and read to be able to better interact with donors on a collaborative basis. When I have needed customer support, they have responded within a 24 hour period, have been helpful and apologetic when things don't work, and work quickly to resolve the issue. Donor Perfect for the most part has been easy to use and helpful for our organization this year. #### Cons I don't like the reporting section of donor perfect at all. There are way too many filters that are needed in order to pull info I need quickly. It also is not the most user friendly and takes time to rewatch videos and take more notes in order to use. All of the staff (sales and support) have been incredibly nice and helpful, even when there wasn't a solution for my problem. They've often made "work-arounds" when needed. The responses are always quick, also. I've worked with or studied multiple CRMs. None offer EVERYTHING, it seems. For the most part it is user friendly and easy to jump right in to figure it out. #### Cons Reports are easy to run and many are readily available. Building new ones and building or finding the right filters to go with them takes a bit of training. There are still limitations with those, but luckily the help staff have been able to fix most of those issues. I also continue to request that the forms have more options such as segmenting. #### Reasons for choosing DonorPerfect I was not on the team at the time of the switch but joined soon after. Overall, it's a great experience in onboarding. The system is easy to use and get started in less than a month. I am a volunteer who set it up on my own with the help of my Onboarding Manager. The Donor Management module is very powerful and flexible. The Marketing capabilities through the Constant Contact email integration work great. It's easy to send thank you letters/tax receipts to donors, to sell tickets to events, and to send out newsletters. #### Cons The onboarding process needs work. We were given a form to fill out without any explanation other than being told to watch a video, which was only 50% helpful. All of our attempts to ask questions about the form and our data were brushed aside. We were told we'd have to use our training hours for to get those questions answered. As a result, our data was not uploaded correctly. However, customer service afterwards has been very helpful at addressing the onboarding issues and trying to fix what was wrong. The system is not as intuitive as I would have liked.
