Genoo is a web-based marketing automation solution for small to mid-sized organizations. It has the basic functionalities that apply to a number of industries, but its clients are primarily in small professional services, software, and technology firms. A relatively new player in the marketing automation space, Genoo has taken the approach of developing software with the primary functions that its target SMB market will require, such as automating email and online campaigns. This has enabled them to reduce software complexity while still providing a quality product at a lower price point for smaller companies.
Genoo has capabilities in email marketing, lead management, lead scoring, microsite building and content management. The functionality is particularly strong in campaign management and automation for email and online. It lacks the more robust features that enterprise clients might require such as multi-channel marketing and event management, but its primary features are ideal for smaller companies in need of a basic marketing automation solution.
Genoo is a completely web-based application. It integrates seamlessly with Salesforce and is available on the AppExchange. Genoo is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems, and can be run on any major browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

I like the ability to edit web content and manage email marketing campaigns all in one interface. I also like how easy the interface is to navigate and how fast their support gets back to you with answers. You can create email templates and then organize them into groups and automate them in a campaign. Their analytics are also getting more sophisticated as I have used the product. They are constantly working to make the product the best it can be!
The automated campaign builder is a little bit confusing in some of the details and could be a little more user-friendly (for example, drag and drop).
If you're looking for something that has a medium level of sophistication and don't have a large skill set for automation platforms, this is the perfect software. It is easy to use when setting up simple campaigns, and it allows you to keep the majority of functions in one interface. With the added capability of bolting on different CRMs with a 3rd-party app, you can also make sure your database of record is always updated with the data you need.

Beta LaserMike is a provider of precision measurement and control solutions for a range of non-contact measurement applications. We use SalesForce as our CRM to manage contacts, leads, and customers.
However, this was only part of the equation. We needed a solution to help us better track and develop leads over a period of time and move them to sales-ready opportunities. We looked at a number of solutions on the market, and while these products offered everything we were looking for, they also carried a hefty monthly price tag.
Then we came across Genoo and it provides the same capabilities, but at an affordable monthly price. We're currently using the latest version of Genoo. We implemented the system in Q3 of 2010 and the process went smoothly. The Genoo technical team was there every step of the way to make sure all the features and functions were working as specified. The Genoo team also helped us with our integration with SalesForce.
Genoo was as easy to learn as it was to implement. Within a matter of weeks, we were up and running and conducting full-blown email marketing campaigns with lead forms and lead scoring.
From a customer support standpoint, Genoo has been very responsive and extremely willing to clarify any issue or resolve problems. While it's still too early to share the ROI the system has delivered, Genoo has helped us to create the awareness, preference, and value of our products through professional-looking and very effective email campaigns.
