PeopleSoft CRM contains modules from Help Desk to formatting interactions and workflow for customer-facing interactions. The application's ability to integrate with just about any system that can send/ receive SOAP, WSDL, XML, etc. is phenomenal.

Pros

The search functionality does not over-ride the application security requirements, segregation of duties or SoX requirements.
CRM delivered ADA functionality for Desktop - Tablet - SmartPhone, it just needs to be turned on.
The new FLUID interface creates, what seems to be, a customized and customizable page options. This allows the CRM and Interaction Hub to direct staff and customers through the appropriate workflow.

Cons

While all the portions of CRM technical and functional may be customized, customers often implement in such a way that they make their new system look like their old system and end up with 1000's of customization. This creates a need for continuous resources to maintain the system to the company standard, thereby running up costs.

Pros

The CRM system is great for running prospect and customer analytics. You can use it run any marketing promotions or data and a good way to address ESS (Enterprise Service Solution) needs.

Cons

Very bland looking at times, like its straight out of the early 2000s before people knew how to design web pages. Definitely need to improve the UI.

PeopleSoft CRM is a robust and highly configurable ERP application. With full 'cloud; hosting available from Oracle & on-site installation a corporation has a lot of options to consider. The usual initial installation and go-live are often successfully accomplished by partnering with Oracle PeopleSoft consulting or other outside consulting firms. That partnership not only supports the success of the implementation but also allows staff to 'learn by doing' alongside those consultants.
American Made ERP system support multiple languages, workflow that expedites business processes, and internal and external messaging, I have not yet worked with a CRM program that was so flexible and robust at the same time.
Having a global presence and impact allow for the CRM system that can support 100's of thousands of operators and customers with most functions appearing to run in 'real-time'.

Pros

PeopleSoft CRM 9.1 & 9.2 have modules from Help Desk (internal) to formatting interactions and workflow for customer-facing interactions (external).
The application's ability to integrate (Integration Broker) with just about any system that can send/ receive SOAP, WSDL, XML, etc is phenomenal. It even delivers a COTS REST services for both synchronous and asynchronous message processing.
Application Security is robust enough that you can present aspects of the application to the internet.
The customization ability is granular right to the extent of FIELD level security enforcement.
Audit ability is a delivered feature consistent across all the Oracle PeopleSoft Suite, and enterprise can control what is monitored by actual operator ID, Job type or work function.

Cons

While all the portions of CRM technical and functional (Business Analyst) may be customized, customers often implement in such a way that they make their new system look like their old system and end up with 1000's of customization. This creates a need for continuous resources to maintain the system to the company standard, thereby running up costs.

Keeping up with application upgrades (functional) and the development/ system upgrade (technical) processes is really a full-time job for a number of people.

Getting too far behind on the updates creates an ever increasing impact on business and costs to get everything current.

ERP Courses are expensive, and Oracle PeopleSoft is no exception.
A corporation will need to support the ongoing educational needs concerning CRM staff by taking training courses and attending user group meetings, regional conferences, and national conferences.

There is a very tight integration with PeopleSoft HCM that isn't offered with other CRM Helpdesk products.

Likes Least

It isn't marketed as aggressively as it once was, however, I don't think that Oracle has another solution that is so tightly integrated with PeopleSoft HCM. I do wish that they would pay more attention towards enhancing and investing in this product.

Recommendations

If you are integrating with PeopleSoft HCM or Oracle EBIZ, you should definitely take a look at PS CRM HRHD.

PeopleSoft CRMs ability to be tailored to specific industry needs. The most important thing to me is it's Analytics application. Invaluable insights are generated from various customer interactions. It helps evaluate various marketing campaigns in terms of incremental revenue or new customers and identifies lapsing, valuable or loyal customers.

The best part is all these insights and other information about a customer is provided in real time. It also has ability to connect to any XML compliant data source.

Likes Least

The UI and UX is not that great. It does well all the tasks but feels archaic. It is expensive compared to other CRM products and implementation takes a long time

Recommendations

If you already have third party core solutions which you don't want to risk, then you should consider PeopleSoft CRM as this offers the best integration capabilities with other applications.

It is easy to use and train, and it flows well with what we are trying to achieve.

Likes Least

It does take a while to remember the screens. Depending on what version you get, there are a few steps to get from point A to point B.

Recommendations

After getting comfortable with the screens and product itself, it will flow better than the others out there. Set up was easy, and they walk you through any issues you would come across.
