The scheduling module allows users to update jobs in real-time, including information on progress and completion. We really like their drag-and-drop functionality, so users can quickly move around appointments.
Invoices are sent out automatically via email and follow-ups are built right in, making it easy for accounting personnel to stay in touch with clients about any over-due balance. They offer flexible invoicing options to best fit any company’s process. Jobber partners with many popular electronic payment apps, such as Stripe and Paypal.
Jobber’s CRM tracks more than just contact information on accounts-- users can create custom fields, tags, attach files or phones, and more. It links multiple properties under an account. All of this is connected back to the billing and work history.
Users in the field can create quotes on any smartphone or tablet and automatically forward them over to clients. These can be rated and sorted by active opportunity, giving better visibility over the pipeline of work.

Easy as an Iphone to use and implement. Very simple layout. Syncs fairly seemlessly. Easy to get employees set up (except every time I had to call them to resend the email for employees - it never generated). Map feature, timer are great for use by staff.
Can't download all notes and details for each customer easily. No main database access. Text features limited and another additional cost. Field workers have to be given FULL "editable" access to be able to put a payment in the system. Field app has been simplified to the point of useless. No real CRM. Can't make changes to set up the way you do things (like having "check" as the default in a payment) which makes several extra clicks here and there which is frustrating on a daily basis.
Watch out for all the costs. Add-ons most companies will need/want make the price go up and up. (Still cheaper than some others but not as robust) If there is something you really want in a product, ask their staff if it is coming in the immediate future. Things take 6-12 months to implement it seems.

The app. Once it was updated, we lost the ability for the crew to see their schedules and to update their time if they messed it up. Also if a job is not scheduled for that day, then they cannot assign their hours to the job on the app.
I'd like to see more automatic uploads of our communications with clients via email and phone in Jobber.
I'd like to see job costing analysis to see if we were profitable on certain types of jobs.
Does not help with job costing, so you'll need something separate from that.

Jobber is easy to setup and use. It's inexpensive compared to other similar program. The people at Jobber will help with any item you may need and will listen to your input on changes you might want to see made with the program.
I would like to see the capability to download all previous jobs or basic tasks to a file to save locally.
It's a good program and is easy to use. If you have questions, customer service is there to answer them. You can find a wealth of information available on the program itself. There are numerous things you can customize to make the program like you want it.

The apps are basically worthless. All our technicians log in online through the website because the apps are so limited.
If your technicians have iPads or lap tops this will work great, if they only have smart phones it is not ideal. The small phone screens make it difficult to do any work on.

Its annoying. the fact that I cant write an invoice without creating a "job" which is basically basically creating an invoice before creating an invoice makes me do the work twice. sometimes it doesn't associate the "Job" with the invoice even though it was part of creating it. its stressful.
good luck marking invoices paid if they are under the same company name. you'll have to inspect each invoice because the list of pending payments wont show the address of the work site that you need to mark paid. instead you need to have the invoice number jobber gave you even if the company you billed doesn't show it on the checks.
The invoice it creates is very picky about changes in the settings. it wouldn't let me leave a blank space so I had to insert a period instead. otherwise the page wont refresh.
Don't use the built in calendar to assist you with your due jobs. you have better luck using hotmails calendar. if you do you'll get really confused about which jobs you've created invoices for and which ones you haven't.
make sure the program supports "service address" instead of shipping address. when I searched for an invoicing program i had to call a few of them to ask this question.

Nothing much..they need to work a little on the calendar view from mobile phones and some hang time issues.

This product is efficient and thorough. We use it every day. It is easier to maneuver around, and if we have questions, they are answered very promptly.
It is hard to collect specific data spreadsheets based on the selected options. Often we want a simple spreadsheet which gives us averages to know if we are bidding our jobs right based on the time but are unable to get it.
Always be honest. They can't fix the problems or come up with solutions if you don't tell them what is wrong.

I would first call the other companies and see how long it takes to talk to someone. Jobber feels more like a really smart friend rather than some big corporation.

Their calendar can sometimes become cluttered, but there are options that you can change to de-clutter it.

I don't like the fact that it is exclusively cloud-based. There needs to be a desktop version that stores all my data on my device in conjunction with syncing to the cloud. This way, if I have no reception or WiFi is down, I can still work. Evernote does this very well, so I wish the developers would follow suit.
Give it a spin. Don't assume that an industry-specific software package is always a best fit. I spent 10x more on industry-specific software that was frustrating and ultimately a huge waste of time. Jobber allowed me to get started with no upfront fees, and it was customizable to my industry.

The Jobber product was made for us, the Green Industry. The vendor has the best customer service we have ever experienced. It syncs very well with QuickBooks Online.
I cannot really think of anything we like the least about Jobber. We are thankful for their continuing effort on improving the product while adding new features.
We have tried a handful of other programs before Jobber; however, none of them fit the Services Industry like Jobber. A very flexible program that will help you grow your company as large as you want.
