For home health agencies of all sizes looking to increase operational efficiency and staff productivity, Alora Healthcare Systems combines all of the functions of a successful business into a single solution. From billing to scheduling, HR functions to point of care, the solution was designed to be extremely user-friendly. Its design requires a minimum of training and can be configured and set up in a few hours.

Designed specifically for home care, Alora Healthcare Systems offers both on-premise and web-based deployment. The web-based option allows users to access the solution from a PC, tablet, iPad or smartphone. The onsite installation gives users the ability to access the software offline while at the patient's home and then sync this data with the main office later.

Alora provides several features such as generating 485s and 487s and tracking those 485s that are due for re-certification. The scheduling feature allows users to schedule and track visits. There's a recurrence option to create multiple visits from one entry and completed visits automatically flow into billing and payroll. There are also optional OASIS, point of care clinical documents and paperless records features, offering a complete software solution for growing home health agencies.

The Alora billing module generates both the electronic claim files and the UB-04 and CMS-1500 paper claim forms. It can also generate Private Pay invoices and posts charges to A/R during this claim generation. It comes with a full list of ICD9 codes with new codes added through regular software updates.

Cons

Pros

The entire program has been a wonderful surprise for our purchase and not failed us yet. We are finding new things and learning all the time.

Cons

Every time I need something new in the software, I find that it is already available. I love discovering new facets!

Pros

The software is intuitive and easy to learn. Tech support is fantastic! Anything you may need the software to do is 98% already programmed.

Cons

Having to create multiple admissions for each payer source is a little time consuming. This is probably unique to our agency.

Easy to use and set-up is nice. I that thing carry over from one chart to the next or one note to the next.

Cons

That sometimes it runs slow or boots up off. But you can usually log back on and start where you left off. Sometimes it takes more than one try to upload something into EHR.

Cons

On the Classic Version we do not have a place to put comment when the patient has a change on the profile.
For the New Web version on the Oasis there is no name and date the person who made change on the Oasis.

Pros

Alora is easy software to use, to access and manage with the help of the windows that the programmer created for the client to be able to use. This software gives opportunity to any user whatever the level of computer knowledge to use it without worrying about the improvement of the work; you do not try to think too much to do the work. It is software that does not require much computer knowledge for its use. It is software that accepts the whole level of study to use it.

Cons

What concerns me the most after the webinar training there are no certificates provided to encourage all those who have taken the training that will allow the motivation and the participation of the user to follow the software update and some changes rules from CMS

Very simple to use and train others on. Has every bell and whistle needed. Amazing customer service. I couldn't be happier and I will not go anywhere else.

Cons

You have to buy every license separately and pay for EHR storage and for using their fax system. However, priced better than any other software. Not a big con to me but I had to think of something and that's the best I can come up with for a con.

Alora has been like a dear friend to our company for many years. It is an easy to master software with user-friendly layouts at every turn. I am a pro at this and I can barely use my own smartphone. I absolutely love this program and can confidently recommend it to any serious Home Health Care start-up or well established company as their primary business related software. Alora listens to your feedback and updates their software regularly to meet ever-changing industry needs.

Cons

There are little to no cons about this program. I have been using it for years and the only issue I have ever had was a server wide slow down once or twice that was cleared up within minutes.

Alora Home Health Care is our primary business software. We use it for all functions related to the business including scheduling, HIPAA compliant patient and caregiver information storage, administrative level tracking of employees via a convenient telephony system, and company financial electronic paper trails. Alora is the soul of our agency and without it, we would be lost.

Cons

The customer service department is not always easy to reach but when you get someone on the phone, or someone calls you back, you feel like you are very special to them. They take your problems very seriously and they know what they are doing.

I have been using the Alora system since I began working with my current employer and I could not be happier. I have worked with other employers in the past who had implemented sub-par Home Health Care software and I can confidently say that Alora stands tall above the competition. I greatly recommend it if you are serious about your business.

Cons

Customer Service will sometimes be overwhelmed with calls and you will not get the assistance you need immediately. But, they have a convenient message system that allows a representative to call you back as soon as spot becomes available.

Pros

Alora Home Health Care is the heart of our business. All patient and caregiver related information is stored on its remote servers and all scheduling is done on its convenient, user-friendly Scheduler Calendar. I can not imagine working in the Home Health Care industry without Alora and its dedicated Customer Service staff at my side.

Cons

When I first joined the company, the interface was a bit dull in an aesthetic sense. Since joining, Alora has been updated several times and it is as sleek and beautiful as any other program in the modern era.

Alora has great training for our company. It does take time to get everyone one on board. Once the confusion is over everything runs great.

Pros

How easy Alora is to use. All clients charts are easy to read or find something in the chart. I like how you can give each person as much or as little access to Alora.

Cons

A few customer Support members are not trained as well as others. When I get that person I'll hang up and call back, to get another team member.
Don't like it take 4 hrs to get old logs due to if an attorney needs the ppr work that's to long.

Our organization asked the tech support at Alora to fix certain features (be able to view a list of caregiver schedules, make the schedule week Monday-Sunday, etc.) and fix the billing issues and were told that they would be fixed, but they never were.

Pros

Alora is paperless and makes it easy to verify that a caregiver is where he/she should be. Its very accessible for caregivers.

Cons

Alora is extremely un-user friendly from a scheduling and billing standpoint. Shifts become invisible and mistakes are inevitable but difficult to fix.

It doesn't have have the capability to generate report for QAPI, OBQM, etc.

Pros

Comes with Classic and Plus. I like the how the calendar and scheduling system was designed. Plus version is web-based.

Cons

Alora Plus often not syncing with Alora Classic. Few QA Features especially not being able to generate reports on gender, ethnicity, or group according to DX.
