It is tried and true. It has been refined over the years and is a very solid platform.

That as a franchisee, our franchiser won't switch to it for some strange reason, even though it is far better than what we have been using for the past year and costs significantly less to boot.

I like the telephony system. It's very comprehensive, detailed, and user-friendly.

It lacks a JPS system, as well as caregiver phone numbers and other forms.

Having been a customer almost from its start, we have noticed that it has stayed up to date. The desktop combined with the mobile app is a win-win. The learning curve for new staff is short, as it guides you through everything.

Recommendations

Ask their customers to share their experiences. Find out how long the customers have stayed with them. Try a demo. Take it for a ride.

HomeTrak Companion is easy to use and compatible with a variety of PC and Mobile platforms. Customer support is the best I've seen from any product or service vendor in a very long time.

Likes Least

What I like least is that the mobile application is not as robust as the full version. It could use more functionality, such as determining when a caregiver has clocked in through Telephony. That would be so ideal.

We are a small home care agency specializing in TBI and SCI patients. We have been using HomeTrak since 2009 and have been very impressed. They continue to come out with fantastic upgrades and improvements that have been beneficial, and help make the program run better and better each time. Support is excellent, always returning calls in a timely manner. The program is easy to learn and is very user-friendly.

HomeTrak has streamlined our scheduling, payroll, and billing and made the process so much easier. The only aspect we wish was more developed was the care plan area - it would be wonderful if we could do some more case management type activities within the program. It sounds like they are releasing some updates soon that may give us some more functionality in that area, though!
