Full featured with little to no training

We use ATRIO at a hotel of ours that has about 340 rooms. Installing ATRIO was a rather quick implementation that included connecting to an industry known booking engine and credit card solution. ATRIO is a 'cloud' property management system that includes a front desk client. This model of architecture is favorable for us in that we get the benefit of cloud technology as well as the reliability of an applicaiton that can provide a better onsite experience. The training for our front desk staff was negligible. The intuitive UI/UX provided the perfect backdrop for a quick implementation. While ATRIO is a departure from our company standard, it was easy to correlate our processes to the functionality of the application. As mentioned, I give the UI/UX, usability, and ease of use 5 stars. Their customer service is great when working with their team; they are knowledgable and the design of the application allows bugs and issues to be addressed quickly. Their support is email/portal only which sometimes makes it difficult; I guess that's how they keep it competitive priced. We're interested in moving forward with ATRIO at other locations and our past experiences have proven that it'll be a good move.

Usually user-friendly, intuitive

Ease of use, relatively easy to enter rates.

PROS

Ease of finding correct menus, relative ease of entering and creating rates. Interfaces with Windsurfer CRS.

CONS

Does not have auto-rate spread function, which would allow to enter one rate in a base room type and all other room types to auto-populate their respective rates. Restrictions don't interface with Windsurfer CRS. No ability to close on property level...must choose by rate instead of property.

A good basic program for a small hotel

Learning to go from a program installed on the Server to a internet based program was nice. Allowing work to be done remotely.

PROS

The reports were easy to use and generate, especially when dealing with the financial side of the hotel. Credit card and other payments were fairly simple as well. The Group set up and function side was very basic and worked as expected. The direct billing and accounts receivable are basic as well and they allow the finance team to generate invoices and statements for clients fairly easily.

CONS

No EMV for credit cards and this was a major reason for leaving the program for another competitor. That and the group billing is sub-par. In lumps multiple reservation into a day by day transaction and does not summarize the individuals reservations. The other negative factor is the ability to reach support. You must email / open a ticket. There is no phone number or actual person to contact.

Love This Product!

I have been in Hospitality for over 30 years and have worked with many different products and systems in my day. I must say that Atrio is perhaps the easiest and most user friendly out there at this time. Clearly the system is new and continues to grow so there are some limitations but the best part of that is when you run across one, simply go to the forum and let the folks know! If enough people share the issue, it will be corrected, quickly! Would highly recommend this product to anyone who asks!
