Boomr builds cloud-based time tracking software. It is designed for mobile workforces around the globe to monitor and automate employee work hours, project tracking and overall organizational performance.
Boomr’s mobile app connects teams wherever the work day takes them. Employees can review their own shifts, correspond with colleagues and stay organized on a day-to-day basis. In-app reminders and notifications help remind employees to take breaks and clock in and out.
In Boomr, each work shift is automatically documented. With actionable reporting users’ time, labor and project data are always available and accessible.
Boomr requires minimal setup and offers cloud-based mobility. This solution is suited to startups, small businesses and fast-growing companies with hundreds of employees. It is scalable and can also integrate into users’ existing accounting and payroll platforms.

It helps you track your time in the office and be able to create a simple way for your employees to clock in and out.
I wish the app had an option for clocking out for lunch instead of just ending the shift. It makes it difficult to track the full amount of time each employee worked per day. When you have to add two different shifts up to get the time, it makes it easy to have human errors.
This software is a great addition to the company and will help you track your time, and the time of your employees. There are some areas that need improvement, but overall it is a great system.

It's very convenient. You can use Boomr as you are walking into the office. No need to log in to something once you're at your desk.
Employees frequently forget to clock in. Some employees (very few) don't have smart phones and boomr only works on mobile.
Make sure that if you get this service, you have an option like a tablet for people to clock in who don't have smart phones.
Stephanie from Alonso's Auto Repair
I like that Boomr has an iPhone app. Its really simple to use and I like that I can see how much money to expect for each shift. I also like that my manager can adjust my shifts because sometimes I can be forgetful and forget to clock out.
I have not had any issues with Boomr so far. I have nothing to complain about.
If you like having the ease of a phone app I would recommend Boomr. You can see all of your hours and wages really easily.

This product allows for proximity clock in, meaning that it WILL allow employees to clock in using their own personal devices, but it WON'T allow them to clock in unless they are actually standing in the workplace. This avoids any fraudulent claims to time spent on the clock when really it was time stolen from the clock.
This product does allow for a daily tracking that shows your time spent and what that translates to on your paycheck. However, this product does not allow for a continuous build to those overviews in order to see what your entire paycheck will be. You're forced to select each time frame separately and do the math on your own.
If you decide to test out the system then simply use it side by side with your old system and compare the difference. I wouldn't say to replace your current system with any other system until it's been tested and simply having employees punch in on both is a very easy way to test it. (Assuming you're a small company)

It's really simple to use. It's accurate. It's a great product.
I don't understand why it needs GPS to track my location. Seems really silly.
Nothing, other than getting rid of the GPS. But you should be checking ease of use and effectiveness, each of which Boomr scores well on.

They keep exact time that I'm on work site and I'm able to work without supervisor calling me to ensure i'm at work site. I love that it keeps my hours and calculates my pay so I don't have to worry if I getting shorted. It doesn't use alot of my battery so that is a plus. Also I add work sites in case my supervisor is out of office, which lets me keep times and work sites in sight. Lastly I like how easy it is to use.
I wish it would have a way to put google maps links so I can find the work sites I have to go to. Also wish I could change the hourly rates for each job easier.
Great software and it can only get better. If you need an app that will keep track of your time and give the supervisor a way to ensure your at the correct work site then this is it. I'm sure Boomr will keep getting better.

I work part time and like to keep track of my weekly hours as they vary from week to week.
I find one thing confusing: when looking at a week at a time, it lists my Saturday hours twice -- at the end of the week they were actually worked and at the beginning of the following week.
I think it's great if you need to keep track of errant employees and the locations they are at when they "check in" to work as well as "check out."
Kellie from Creative Marketing Concepts
I like the ease of use, never had any trouble with it. I like that you have to be with in a certain distance of the office in order to clock in. Paperless!
I don't like that it is mobile based only. I can't clock in from my computer.
being able to clock in online as well would be helpful incase someone forgets their phone or their phone is not working.
Tim from Austin B-cycle
The simplicity of the app makes clocking in very easy. Boomr has really helped me and my coworkers have more flexibility at work. Messing with timestamps was too long of a process, everyone was forgetful too. Boomr has made clocking in and out of work easy - tracking pay is very easy as well. Payday is a breeze.
No reminder for clocking out. It is still a new app and needs some additional features, but I'm sure they'll get there soon.
Try it out for a month to see if it helps track hours and payment better.

We are able to better track the time of our employee to avoid paying flat rates for time not actually spent working. Has paid for itself many times over.
Would like more control over where the employee can be when they clock in for the shift.
Give it a try. We are confident you will find it worthwhile!
Matthew from HVBS
Boomr makes signing into work very easy! It also tracks my shifts and lets me see how much I have earned. The "take a break" feature is also great for multiple shifts in one day.
Sometimes if I am not connected to Wi-fi and try to sign in, Boomr will make me re-type my log in info.
I would recommend to put Boomr on whichever devices that you carry around with you throughout your day.
Cristina from C & Co.
My hours appear clearly with totals, I don't have to think about anything, all the info is there. I can clock in from my phone if our work computer is occupied. i like that I can add a photo to my profile. App is easy to navigate. The dollar amount I have earned from each shift appears. I can tell at a glance if I am working shorter hours than normal, etc. Overall, Boomr is easy to navigate on ipad or iphone, straightforward and simple. I have enjoyed using it this past year.
It asks me twice if I would like to clock in. It wastes time overall and if you are opening the app you are obviously trying to clock in or out.
Look at every detail with a critical eye. What wastes time? What format do you prefer? etc.
Bradford from Snackery Snacks
Easy for everyone to check in, cheaper than a regular time clock
I've had multiple complaints from my employees saying they can't clock in. Also for some reason, the times are always an hour behind (I'm mountain time) and haven't found anything in settings to change this
For the price it works and the ease of use for the employees help, but if you find something better, I'd say go for that
