Breezy HR Software


 

Breezy HR is a recruiting platform for small and midsize businesses. The solution provides functionality for applicant sourcing and tracking, resume parsing, and video interviews and more.

The application is cloud-based and features a dedicated app for iOS devices so recruiters can use the platform on the go. Breezy HR comes with EEOC reporting capabilities, customizable career pages, and the Restful API so developers can tweak the software to their needs.

With a drag-and-drop interface, users can customize their pipeline and organize applicants in whichever order they please. Recruiters can connect with candidates via email using custom templates, auto-responding and interview scheduling capabilities for fast response times and organization.

Users can source candidates from LinkedIn, AngelList and other sites using a Google Chrome extension, and can post openings to multiple job boards with a single click.

Breezy HR is available in a variety of pricing tiers based on the number of job openings an organization has.

I really enjoyed the drag and drop functionality - this makes Breezy enjoyable and easy to use. I would really recommend Breezy to any business wanting to adopt tech for the first time or even if one of the larger competitors have disappointed you. Breezy is easy to setup and understand.

You can get your hiring team up and running with a great recruiting solution within minutes. Breezy has some great features which compete with some of the more expensive options which is quite amazing. You can easy post jobs to multiple platforms like job boards, social media and LinkedIn on a free or paid option.

Cons

I could not really notice any cons as you can use it on a trial basis, also their no need to commit long term if you do not want. Also the price is very competitive so the investment required is also quite low.

The staff was very helpful and very responsive!

Pros

It's very simple to use, very clean and not too confusing like some other software I've used. I like the features, they have a score cards for candidates that you could easily customize. I found this to be their most unique feature. Most other tracking systems have a generic star rating.

Cons

They are a fairly new company, and that scared me away at first. But seems like they have come a long way.

We have been with Breezy since December in 2016 and I gotta say that I don't have any Cons. If you don't have a function this team works hard to make it happen. We needed additional reporting and they created the function for it. We needed an effective way to launch a Referral program with reporting and they did it. This really is such an awesome company and software vendor!

Breezy HR is pretty much a Breeze

Overall, super happy with the software, service and price.

Pros

This ATS does a lot of things well. Easy to track candidates, custom emails, email and calendar integration, Chrome integration, a pretty serviceable iOS app. And a user interface that doesn't like it was designed in the aughts. Equally nice is the regular pace of updates that occur. Best of all is the incredible response that I get when I have a question (either good or stupid - my questions) or just feedback. I'm pretty psyched about the customer rep and how quickly he gets back to me.

I also like that I can easily manage more than one company on the same platform.

Cons

Small silly things. I fill out my scorecard as I'm interviewing a candidate. If I want to take a quick peek at their resume, the scorecard closes, loosing all my notes. Resumes are hard to read (small type).

Breezy HR ATS - When Not Bad is Pretty Good

After 5 years of using a competitors ATS, I had a chance to survey the market and pick a system that truly suited my needs. While I didn't fine the perfect solutions, I did find a product that had 1)mail and calendar integration 2) an user interface that wasn't designed by some engineer that never actually tried to use their own product 3) and a reasonable price. Top it off with some really top notch customer support and I'm pretty happy. One bonus - if you recruit for more than one company, you can easily maintain a couple of companies on the system and easily switch between the two.

Pros

Nice user interface, great price, great customer support.

Cons

Needs a quick view that shows candidates linkedin profile, personal websites and easy action from this view.

So simple & intuitive to use and really a joy for everyone on the team to use. It's really the first tool we've been able to get everyone using.
I'd also like to call attention to the amazing support team they have in place. They're highly knowledgable and very responsive.

Cons

While they have an iPhone app, I prefer to use the mobile web version. It's good but not nearly as good as the iPhone app right now. Would like to see more work on the mobile web.

They are only a year old so there are occasionally bugs, but they are SO fast at fixing them and helping us out.

I like everything about this software. It has helped me systematize and automate hiring for our small medical practice. We used to waste time searching through resumes and applications, sorting, reviewing, passing back and forth files only to forget what we thought of a candidate. We now can use our time efficiently and for recruiting instead of administrative stuff. Hiring takes away from our production.
The Breezy HR team is super responsive and helpful for support and feature requests. I found this software by chance on Twitter and it has changed our whole process for the better.

Obviously any small business is worried about cost. I think the software is worth the money and is also very flexible. Pay for what you need, no long term commitments.

Recommendations

The best thing about Breezy is its smooth UI / UX. We use Trello religiously so Breezy literally was a breeze to get started and understand how it works.

Within 10 minutes of posting our jobs, we received quality applications.

The fact that you have your own personal link to your jobs is also fantastic.

The vendor was very responsive in adding new features. The product is light weight and easy to use. It takes little to no training at all. You also can't beat the price. The way that they price makes it very affordable for our business and makes sure everyone is collaborating.

It is not very customizable, but that is understandable because it probably wouldn't be as easy to use.

I *really* enjoyed using breezy to manage our hiring process. It would not be an exaggeration to say that without breezy this would have been absolutely impossible. The workflow tools, calendaring, video meetings, and other candidate interaction tools all reduced my workload, and allowed me to keep the candidates organized and coordinated with a minimum of fuss.

When we started using this software it was in a fairly late beta state, and in the beginning some things were a bit rough. However, the developer is extremely responsive, and addressed all of our concerns during our usage. Over the months of our usage, things have become more and more polished, and are now definitely "corporate" ready.

Recommendations

An HR tool needs to reduce your workload. I find that the best way to do that is to integrate all the features that I need into a single place. Breezy does that admirably. In addition, the interface is so easy to use that it takes all of the clumsiness out, and that really saves time!

I love how easy it is to share information within the hiring team and to review and communicate with candidates, even when you have a high volume of applicants. The interface is good - I just jumped in and started using the software. The Help/online chat staff quickly (immediately) and helpfully answered the few questions I had.

Cons

I found that I lost work a few times when I was creating interview guides as there is (was?) no autosave. No real concerns, just the odd minor annoyance.

Pros

It's very easy to use for anyone - even people who are not experienced with this type of software. It's very easy to learn how to use it and it has saved us a lot of time.

Cons

There is a copy option to copy applicants from one position to the other but it does not copy any of the notes or files you have made. Also, when downloading attachments they need to be done one at at time.

I like that I can move them through a process. Have them in different stages, rate them for their skills, and also a nice place to follow up with dates times and notes.

Cons

Having to sometimes refresh my feed in order to have changes saved. Sometimes when I click out of a long note without having it saved all of my data is lost, and during good conversations it's impossible to recover. I wish there was an "are you sure you want to leave page/ data is not saved cue when clicking out of a window that has information in it that was mistakenly not saved.

Let's face it. Recruiting is now all about managing data. A firehose of candidates needs to be filtered down to the very best qualified, so utilizing recruiters' time most effectively means we need an intuitive tool that can easily be customized. BreezyHR is the perfect solution. Now we don't have to change the way we recruit to fit our ATS. BreezyHR is the only solution where we can customize the information we collect from applicants, and then review that information in a way that saves time. This means our candidates can become employees even faster than ever because of BreezyHR. Aside from amazing user interface and customization ability, their tech support is the finest. If we ever have a question about how a feature works, or how we can use existing features to achieve our goal, we simply click the little chat bubble, and within minutes, our BreezyHR staff person is right there with an answer. When there is something we want that the program isn't designed to do, their answer is always positive. "Great idea. We will look into that and get back to you." From the moment our recruiters began using BreezyHR, they were sold! I don't think we could pry it out of their hands now.

Cons

Handling applicant data in groups, like moving everyone in one pipeline stage to another, or sending an entire group of applicants in a pipeline stage a mass email is not a feature. We would also like any applicants to go through a filter and be marked if they are already in a "pool" so we know that they are an applicant we have previously interviewed or reviewed. Right now, there is no way to know if someone who applies for one job has previously applied and/or been scored or interviewed for another one of our positions.

Breezy has made is easy to view/edit/remove postings from all sites through one portal. Also, it's been so much easier managing all applicants when they come through a central source - and we can sort them as we see fit. This is great so that we don't unintentionally miss anyone. The reporting is fantastic too!

Pros

I love the fact that you can control a job posting from one portal. I can't remember how many times I'd have to go between tens of sites with different logins, styles of postings etc, in order to edit/remove an ad.

Breezy suggests a standard process, but allows you to go as complex as you want.

Cons

Like any web software I sometimes time-out and have to reconnect after i come out of stand-by (but well the few seconds wait are worth the synchronization with everyone else).

Some features I want to use are paid, but we are way to small to be worth the investment, maybe create a more more flexible fremium model with credits for use of premium features.

For users, it's super simple to click on the people you're interested in seeing more about and to communicate with applicants without having to keep track of their contact information. Everything is held in one place, and for team hiring, discussions and notes can be made in Breezy, rather than in email. Administrators seem to have a lot of flexibility to set up a process that matches that of the hiring manager and the team.

Cons

The mobile version seems to be a bit different from the desktop, making it a bit harder to see teammate's notes on an applicant.

The candidate search function is pretty basic and easy to use but could use a little more sophistication to it. For example, if I search by a keyword, I would like to see the keyword highlighted in the candidate's resume when I have the search results returned to me.

The benefits I identified and listed within the review.

Pros

The integration of the application works really well, all-inclusive data storage. The sharing of information, comments, resumes makes the software easy to use. The scorecard is an important component that takes the labor out of building a scorecard system from scratch.

Cons

Overall I did not find that many weaknesses in the Breezy software suite. I am still struggling with the number of emails generated by any change that takes place with a potential candidate, this may be a setting that I need to tweak.
