Only been using the software for a few days now so it's early.

Pros

The resume parsing is the most useful feature so far. Generally seems user friendly.

Cons

So far, the text boxes for saving notes are a bit awkward. I'm a bit dissapointed that I was just added as a user and I don't get any live training.

We needed a way to track applicants as well as a place to keep track of previous candidates for our government contract positions so we turned to Bullhorn. The tool made it easy to keep track of activities, contacts, updates and all the pertinent information recruiters need when tracking applicants through the hiring process. By default, Bullhorn became our de-facto recruiting tool.

Pros

Workflow tracks all information with regard to the candidate as well as the job they are being considered for and is easily searchable. You can go back and recall specific information about the applicant including their resume, conversations had with them, salary requirements, etc. It's a one-stop shop! It also integrates with your email and other outside resources. You can also access the tool from mobile devices which, in this day and age, is a must!

Cons

At first, it was not compatible with the Safari browser but that has since been resolved. It can be a little cumbersome if you don't use it a lot however, if you're a recruiter, that shouldn't be an issue.

Advice to Others

If you're looking for an applicant tracking system that's easy to use and relatively inexpensive, Bullhorn is your tool!

I use Bullhorn primarily as a place to store resumes of candiates. It has helped me organize my candidate base, and quickly identify the right candidates for positions.

Pros

Uploading resumes and resume search!

Cons

I dont like the complete integration with Outlook. I would prefer if not all outlook messages were logged in bullhorn. It would be better, if only tagged ones were.

I own an executive search firm that is consistently ranked in the top 50 firms in the US by hunt scanlin each year. Bullhorn was an awful experience and one of the worst investments I have made as a business owner. The salespeople are slick....smart and slick, and I was sold a complete bull of goods and once the sale went through my sales rep could not be found. The migration was a disaster and the customer success team completely dropped the ball the conversion. Then, when we signed up with a new software platform after our 24 months, we incurred a lot of extra charges to get our data back and Bullhorn squeezed every dollar they could from us. Awful experience and I would advise against using their platform. Complete waste of a lot of money and to this day, i never heard from our sales rep with an explanation or even an apology.

Advice to Others

Stay away from Bullhorn. Bad investment and waste of money. Encore is 100 times better and excellent customer service. Encore cares abo their customers. Bullhorn could care less about how they treat customers - all about squeezing out sales.

Happy with usability - Unlimited customizations. Easy integrations with Gmail and Outlook. Neat features such as "Slide Out" and bowling alley layout make data input fast and easy. No Android or iOS applications. Really expensive.
Bullhorn Staffing and Recruiting is the best applicant tracking (AT) software solution on the market. Unfortunately, its pricing model is prohibitive for small businesses. However, if you've got the coin to spend, you can't go wrong with this tool.

BullHorn is a good product and overall easy to use, however, it has it's quirks like any other ATS.

Pros

Links everything together along with messages to staff, AE's, other Recruiters and candidates.

Cons

Bullhorn was a breath of fresh air coming from a previous CRM platform that I used in a previous recruitment role. It's design and aesthetic are clean and clear-cut, making it both elegant to use as well as easy on the eye.

It has provided me with an easy to learn platform to work with on a daily basis and has simple yet effective features that enable this.

Bullhorn Staffing and Recruiting Software is a well know software that is recommended by most. We are a smaller Technical Recruiting company and for us, we find that some of the tasks are repetitive. Such as; you cannot add multiple matches to a job with easy, need to add them one by one. Competitors also have a way of Emailing resumes into the system, that would save the time of manually having to upload resumes. Another annoying feature is that the monthly subscription does not reduce with additional users, meaning as you grow in size you will not be benefiting with scale (with this software, you will be benefitting in other areas).

All in all Bullhorn offers great features, great ways of tracking metrics however for a small Recruiting company there are competitors our there that offer similar features and are cheaper.
