The ability for employees to swap shifts easily. The mobile app makes it accessible for employees.

Any "time off" hours such as vacation get calculated into actual hours worked so overtime starts calculating before it should. So when you run reports for payroll and the person doing payroll does not realize this, you will end up paying overtime to employees who have not worked a 40 hour week. According to customer service, there is no way to fix this. Reports are not intuitive.

Recommendations

Find a system that has some basic knowledge of fundamental timekeeping and payroll.

Scheduling is no longer a hassle, and the manager no longer has to be the middle man for scheduling changes between co-workers.

Ease of scheduling for the staff. Ease of communication for the hourly staff.

Complicated reports and navigation around the site. Expensive. Wish the digital logbook was emailed nightly for easier access.

Recommendations

It really depends on what you are looking for in online scheduling programs. In order to get the money out of the product you must utilize all of hot schedules reporting, etc. if you want something simple--there are less expensive programs out there.

The ability to copy and paste a schedule for easy schedule creation and also contacting staff when the schedule is complete.

At first, setting up the product takes a long time, but once you get everything filled out and shift needs entered, the product is easy to use!
