I love that Namely is extremely user friendly and has an awesome customer support team. Namely makes it easy for me to store all sensitive employee information as well as employee bios, PTO requests, calendars all in one database. I also like that i'm able to limit visibility on certain documents ensuring that other employees are not able to view the private information that is stores but can still view each others bios that each employee sets up this includes position, team, who they report to and other interesting position related facts.

At this time there is nothing i really dislike about the product. It is easy and simple to use and all of our employees love it. Maybe one suggestion I could make it to have an employee chat section where employees can create chat groups or chat directly to one another.

Recommendations

I would suggest to get a trial of Namely, you'll love how clean and her friendly it is that i'm sure you'll bring it to your company. In addition if you have any questions do not hesitate to message their customer service team, they are awesome and respond very quickly.

Namely, like any start up still some improvements on their product. For example more fields to have an automatic sync with integrations and a few other bugs we have run into. With that, they have always backed up any issue with their customer service and have been able to troubleshoot any problems that have surfaced.

Recommendations

I would recommend you verify that all fields you need to transfer over to namely from another tool will do so during implementation. There are many functions within the tool, take the time to truly learn it all, by doing this, navigating within the system will be easier for you and will give you the opportunity to assist your company.

- If coming off of a PEO such as Trinet, please prepare yourself an extra 1-2 months to build your HRIS/Payroll/Benefits data
- Try not to switch during benefit carriers busy time (November - December) as this may affect your start date new benefit carriers if there are delays
- Be open to Namely's ongoing drive to improve Namely's platform

I've been working with Namley for almost two months and am very impressed with how easy this product is to use. The on-boarding tool is excellent. We also rely on the task list to help our team set everything up for new hires. I also like how easy it is to process payroll. The customer support is very good. I have a rep that works with us on HRIS and payroll and a different rep who helps with the benefits. I can't say enough about how helpful and responsive they both are.

There are a couple of improvements that could make things easier. An example would be to have the ability to enter information for all of the fields on the I9 form would be helpful.

Recommendations

Namely has been great for us. I would recommend Namely for a HRIS/payroll platform. For reference, the company I work at has 180 people in multiple states.

The Namely platform is very user friendly. Our employees love the process and with each new implementation, they have had no issues with is. We started with just the payroll feature, and now moved onto the time sheets for our hourly employees. I like that it has the look/feel of a social media page and we use the feed to communicate whats happening within the organization. The customer support is fantastic!!! Even when we have issues, which with every new system there is, they have been great.

I think that offering a workshop would be beneficial. The report writer is more of a challenge to work through. Maybe just a workshop on report writing would be great. Some reports that should be standard are not.

Recommendations

This is very user friendly; employees will really like the ease of use and finding general information. For a company our size - just over 50 - it is very easy to navigate and manage.

Their customer support is second to none, and one of their greatest assets. We love our account manager and the support he provides us daily. Our employees old and new are excited to use this software, they love the fact that is it an all in one solution with one login and that the interface is modern and not antiquated like some of the other HRIS solutions out there. We have been able to customize this software to our need and add different parts of the platform gradually as we grow.

We had to make a few tax adjustments when we implemented our payroll with Namely, our state has some intricate nuances with state tax. It seems like they are growing their tax department and they work to help with these issues.

Recommendations

Namely is more than worth taking a look at, there is so many benefits to this software and their support team becomes part of your team. They want to see success in their partners and they are always looking for feedback in their product.

User-friendly system for employees to update photos, personal information, share shout-outs, and view the org chart. App is powerful enough to handle promotion cycles, and complex reporting correlating pay to to seniority/gender/age/race. Overall UI is solid and easy to setup. Reporting system is mostly intuitive.

Still not as many out-of-the-box integrations to other products (netsuite) as I'd like. Creating reports is slow as finding the field you want is a painful process.

Recommendations

A strong player in the HRIS space for its price point. A good choice for growing (100+ employees) companies as it is clearly functionally superior to cheaper, more basic solutions like TribeHR, but still not as costly as an enterprise-grade HRIS like Taleo/Workday.

Namely is great at making everything streamlined and easy. Not only is it seamless on the backend, but for frontend users it's extremely clean and neat. The site is very responsive and it feels "lightweight". That is to say that there aren't unnecessary menus, everything is clearly easy to find, and the site is very fast.

Nothing really! They have a mobile app but I don't think that we can use it because we have a special server which is unfortunate, but really not that big of a deal.

Recommendations

I think Namely is great for organizations. We've had a lot of compliments about the software in terms of task tracking between teams. So not only is it good for people on the background managing teams and entering in information, but the transparency from top down is good.

The best part about this product is how easy it is to use! We just on-boarded 100 employees and everyone complimented how user-friendly it was. The best part about this vendor is their response time! Our rep is always available by phone and email and is open to our suggestions.

There are a number of different functions that can be consolidated in this program. My company used to have separate systems to handle time off, payment, notification, company information, etc, and now we just have to go to Namely. Consolidating all needed information in one place is a big plus. We have found somethings that could be modified to fit better our type of business, and they have accommodated our requests to make it a more user friendly experience.

The only thing I would change would be more authority given to the user to make modifications. Many things have to go through the rep or through tech support to be implemented, instead of granting that capability to the company's main administrator. I imagine that it is related to the site security, in which case I prefer to have secured information, that easy access.

Recommendations

I would say that they should try it. Get used to it, as any new system it takes time to know all that it can do and how to do it. Chances are they are going to like the functionality Namely offers growing businesses.

One of the strongest points of Namely is how easy it is to learn and use. The interface is intuitive and well-organized, which makes it easy to get the information you need quickly and leave, as opposed to other software that can leave you fumbling around with it for a few minutes each day.

The only issue I ever had was wondering who the Feed/Updates section was shared with. Is it the whole company? If so, it could be better suited as something you could also use to communicate some information with just your team or department.

The feed stream in the control panel is my favorite feature of the product.

I feel like the review process is crazy complicated. All I want to do is just click on someone and give them their review, but I have to ask him all the time, "Okay, can you see it? Can you see it now?" Maybe I just haven't researched it enough, but it is frustrating.

I would definitely use the software before reviewing it, and by using it, I mean for more than a week.

So far, there's nothing that I don't like. But I wish there was a way I could turn off the "Response to time off request" notification without contacting an admin. If I can approve PTO, I should be able to disable notifications.

The Namely platform has allowed our employees to access a wide variety of do-it-yourself functions that they otherwise would have to go through either their supervisor or HR for. By allowing employees to do these things themselves, it frees up supervisors and HR personnel for other more pressing tasks.

So far, there isn't anything I've come across in my dealings with the software that I don't like. Perhaps the only "issue" (or maybe even non-issue) is the inability to differentiate between types of personal time off (PTO) requested -be it vacation, sick day, bereavement, or personal time. Presently, it all just comes up as PTO.

Recommendations

Spend a little bit of time poking around all of the features to see how robust the software and its functions are. I don't think you'll be disappointed in what you find.

It's simple, user-friendly, and easy to get the hang of. There aren't a million sections or steps in the process of doing reviews, submitting time off, etc. It's very refined and simple.
