Performance Pro is a solid solution to managing the performance management process. I don't think that there is anything that they haven't thought of. Their customer support is excellent and their regular webinars are wonderful for making sure that nothing is missed in the process.
Numerous feature and additions. They are always improving their platform.
User interface is a bit clunky (have to go from here to there to get things done).

Performance Pro has been a great product for our organziation. Specificially, it meets the needs of our performance review process by being easy to use and flexible to change. It was important that the software that we chose could handle our 9 point rating scale, job specific competencies and work plan goals; Performance Pro delivered on all of these features.
I like it all. All of my interactions with Performance Pro including training, customer support and implementation have been good.
Have a good idea in mind of what you need the software to do and know how simple it is to customize and maintain that customization. Performance Pro offers a very easy Administrator platform which is a plus for the HR person who wears many hats like myself. Plus Performance Pro is reasonably priced and won't break the bank!!

Performance Pro eliminates most of the headaches that come with any type of Performance Management process. The goals in implementing an effective Performance Management process should be to make it an effective and efficient process. Performance Pro has been able to do this for us by streamlining the Performance Management and Performance Review process by offering a web based solution and eliminating the need for paper documents to support reviews, performance improvement plans, coaching forms, etc. Everything is offered and housed in one system and is completely customizable. Most systems that offer customization really mean that the system provider will customize it for you for a fee. What I found is that this can get extremely costly, and then you are reliant on the system provider for the simplest change. Performance Pro allows me to customize most elements of the Performance Review process and forms for free, and the system is completely user-friendly.
There are a number of factors to select from, goals can be customized for specific positions and reviewed and evaluated periodically with employees throughout the year. If you are trying to sell this cost to your CEO, break it down; your administrative expenses will be reduced, and you should see an immediate return in that your goals and factors align directly with business objectives.
There is nothing that I necessarily do not like about the product. If anything, my wish would be that it would fully integrate with my HRIS system. But I heard that this is going to be happening quite soon!
I evaluated and sat through demos of many Performance Management software products, and what I found is that what most showed me was the top-of-the-line versions with all the bells and whistles that you could think of. Once it really got down to it, the top-of-the-line version was always in a price range that would not make sense for the organization, and each of the bells and whistles was an extra cost or had to be customized at an extra cost.
When viewing Performance Pro, what you see is what you get. There were no hidden costs and no hidden agendas. The system could be customized at the hands of the user. I would recommend making a matrix of all the must haves and nice to haves to truly identify what will work for your size organization.
