QuickBooks Full Service Payroll from Intuit is a Web-based payroll system that integrates with the QuickBooks accounting platform. It is designed to help small businesses manage accounting and payroll all in one place.
Users can manage employee profiles to determine such things as pay rate, pay schedule and method of payment. Payroll can then be reviewed and submitted at any time, accompanied by detailed reports showing total payroll cost, pay compared between periods and cost breakdowns between wages and taxes, and between employer and employee. The option to print pay stubs is also available.
Behind the software is Intuit’s team of U.S.-based payroll experts, who can handle payroll setup, tax filing (federal, state and local) and tax payments. Accuracy is guaranteed, so if an issue arises, Intuit will act as representation to the IRS. All of this functionality carries over to the Online Payroll mobile app, which is available on iOS and Android devices.

Support absolutely sucks. Have spent hours on hold. Constantly charging my credit card when I purchased QuickBooks Pro with Enhanced Payroll. It is supposed to allow for one employee but then Intuit constantly abuses your credit card. Was supposed to receive an email within 3 days confirming that they once again had taken me off "Automatic Renewal." No email ever showed. Surprise Surprise. Then Intuit locks up your "Enhanced Payroll" until they get your credit card information again and the cycle begins all over again. Just got cut off again after over an hour on hold with "Payroll Support." I suspect that Intuit is hoping that most business owners or A/P people just let the credit card charges slide because they think they are legit.
Can't think of any right now.
Credit card abuse, false charges, locks you out of a product you've already paid for. Payroll support with Americanized names that leaves you on hold forever and then cuts you off.

I really like this software. It is super easy to use and makes doing payroll less stressful for me. I would recommend this software to anyone at anytime!

QuickBooks has everything needed for a small business that is ready to start payrolling employees. The money spent on this software is easily made back in time saved and IRS audits avoided!
No one likes to pay a lot of money for anything, but this would be the only complaint I would have for this software
When you are ready to take the leap, do your research and be sure your company can support paying employees.

QB has always been my go to product. The reporting system is useful.
QB PAYROLL Doesn't work, the 16/17 tax table updates does not work & when you email you get no replies & when you call in, you are just on hold permanently! SOOOO FRUSTRATING! Also busy looking at other companies! Will NEVER Recommend QB Payroll ever again! 2 years of hassles I am done!
Go Elsewhere! Don't waste your time with the Payroll system.

Initially, before they took data away from the end user, I liked everything.
The customer service has become deplorable as of this writing. Never used to be that way. I have been without my payroll data since 1/16, and after 16 separate phone calls, each running through the same steps over and over, the same results. Nothing. Keep being informed that the "engineering team" is on it, but still no resolutions. They promise to call you back later that day, no call. So, I call back the next morning, and have to go through the entire scenario yet again. At this point in time, I'm researching other payroll companies. Intuit keeps sending me emails reminding me about payroll being due, tax forms being due... and I can't access any of the information to file it. Today, 4/19/16, I was told that there was a big software problem, that I wasn't the only one experiencing it... but, it literally took them 16 separate phone calls from me, no return phone calls from them AT ALL, and me finally getting angry and raising cain before they divulged that information. Not at all happy with Intuit right now. Several years ago, they surveyed users as to how to best run payroll. I was very VERY happy with having the data remain with me, backed up with them, and me filing electronically with the information in my computer. They decided to have everything "secured" in their hands. I stated my concern that the potential arrises to having our information trapped if they have any software or hardware issues... "Oh, no sir!! That would never happen!!" .... and now, I have zero access to my accounts and information. And the only response I got today after raising hell, is, "You have to wait and be patient, sir." ... I would have to say be cautious when deciding to use Intuit right now.
Look elsewhere, check pricing. In just a few hours and a few phone calls, I've found some other companies that I have vetted lightly, and the pricing is roughly one quarter what Intuit is charging for what appears to be the same services. Check around first.

Quickbooks Payroll is good.
It is easy to use. It is also pretty user freindly. The updates and payroll functions go fairly seamlessly.
It is sometimes hard to get the information needed out in report form or in the form I need it in.
Get what works for you the best. Make sure you agree with the payment fees and policies.

QB Payroll service
Inexpensive, easy to use only if the user has accounting knowledge.
For anyone that does not have accounting knowledge they can easily make mistakes without knowing. Good basic product. Users need to understand financial systems to use this product including.
Evaluate your current and future needs prior to research. Determine an accurate budget to evaluate what each of your needs us worth. Pay attention to suggested timeline and implementation schedules.
Julia from Global Ocean Health
Always been happy with QB products
Full suite, easy to switch between platforms, use remote access, cloud services, etc.
Sometimes clients have trouble picking up small idiosyncracies, but I don't think it's QB's fault.
Go for the most-used, longest-proved, and read reviews.

Product has many features and is easy to use. When help is needed, it can usually be found using the online resources.
It is expensive, although it does give good value for the price.
It is only worth paying the higher price if you are going to use many of the features.
Richard from Independent Contacts
online support, version support, streamline interface
cost and lack of open ecosystem in the compatibility
make sure you understand the pricing structure and the support options
Gloria from Strear Farms Company
Very stress free
Everything is seamless. I have what I need when I need it
Nothing. most issues I have run into are user error
Look around and evaluate other products. But this is where you want to come back to

Handles all the payroll functions, including reporting.
Quickbooks interface is sometimes confusing to new users.
Consider the time it takes to input the information along with the cost of the service.

Consolidating information is easy. I have never had to use their customer service, so I cannot say how good the vendor is at providing support.
I work in a government office and it is virtually impossible to get the new version of QuickBooks to work with their security software.
I would recommend taking some kind of training course associated with QuickBooks.
Amanda from Allianz
Gets the basics done.
The vendor is responsive to questions and resolving problems. The product is basic, but appropriate for small to mid sized businesses.
Our company is growing larger and this product no longer fits our needs as we hire more employees.
This product will fit your needs if you have under 200 employees, otherwise get a full-service vendor.
Brenda from Performisys LLC

Ease of use and automatic update of state and federal tax tables and forms

Easy to understand lots of menus and help and guides to get you through any issues.
Hard to contact support desk ,several phone menus and long waits.
Read up on all menus before calling and try checking out the links where other users give help.

Easy to use, straightforward, generate necessary reports fast, easy to transfer data to and from business accountant.
There is really nothing bad or negative about the vendor or the Quickbooks product. I have been using it for a while without difficulty.
Compare multiple products and decide what is best for you and your company.
Asriel from Evolutionary Consulting
Makes this easy. It's current and compliant with IRS updates. It's a standard/popular software all accountants use, so all I have to do it give a Backup file of QB to my accountant.
The Payroll Service Annual fees keep rising dramatically.
To my mind, QB is essential if you own an S Corp. or an LLC. I wish there were equivalent reliable and popular vendors to QB to create some meaningful competition.
Sean from Industrial and Engineering Consultants, LLC
Nice program after setting it up.
Captures a lot of data for manipulation and good reporting for taxes
Setting up the program and learning it. Fairly complicated. Better manuals needed.
Be prepared to spend time setting this thing up, but that it would be time well spent, once learned.
