Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service is a cloud-based human resources (HR) suite suitable for large and midsize businesses in all industries. Key features include candidate management and employee onboarding, especially for high volumes of employees, prospective candidates and new hires.
As part of a talent database, current employees and new candidates can be matched to open positions. Users can monitor onboarding activity, track completed onboarding tasks and manage uploaded information from new and current staff.
Employee referrals can be used to source talent, and HR personnel have access to talent reports and recruiting pipeline data to assist with the development of recruitment programs. A single view of available and potential talent across all processes is also available.
Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service can be integrated with other Oracle software. It is priced on a per user per month basis.

not too satisfied with this product. Currently searching other ATS . When we purchased this item I was not aware that I could not use a lot of its features because we only have 700 employees. I was told in order to do some of the items I had to be on the Business Edition. Implementation was not very helpful either I am doing too many manual steps I want a user friendly ATS. Posting jobs, customizing the application, sending offer letters, onboarding into our ATS, and being able to work directly with our background vendor. All features that do not work

Taleo Business Edition (TBE) is an applicant tracking system with tremendous functionality. The problem is finding that functionality. It is very difficult to use, almost programmer like in its requirements for templates and workflows. And although it offers multiple languages to support a global enterprise, it does not allow for separate requirements in terms of requisitions, approvers, etc. Either everyone does it, or no one does. Lastly, the Chinese language used does not translate accurately, per my Beijing group, and so is unusable to them.

Difficult to use. Where's the drag and drop? Where are the smart features? It even looks clunky.
Unless you have a fully integrated recruiting and hiring process where workflows are necessary, don't use this system. It is simply too robust for simplified recruiting processes.

It offers a great control for managing all the processes (current or concluded). Designed to be consistent and stable.
Software is not very friendly, need of a technical professional to setup processes. The variety of resources and options may be confusing when the project becomes bigger. Right deployment is a key factor for success.

I like that it does give you a place to house your candidates.
This product has too many features and options to customize, too many reports need to be built only if you know how to code. The scheduling feature is very hard to work with and the bugs that happen are a bit scary.
If you are looking for a product that you can completely customize, this is the one. However, keep in mind, you need to have a TALEO super administrative person on staff or a budget to fill the needs of training, fixing, and setting every little piece up.

It is simple to add in candidates and positions, keeps good track of the candidates submitted for positions, reports are easy to make, easy to open the software, and it keeps track of your recent activity to candidates are easy to revert back to when needed
Duplicates names and positions regularly, can't search via zip code, not efficient enough for recruiting in my eyes unless your a smaller company (1 to 15), can't go back and delete things unless your an administrator (we all make mistakes but Taleo coerces even bigger issues when you have to get others involved). Can be frustrating
Be sure to look into many different platforms before picking one. Don't shy away from a product that might cost you a little more up front as the results will prove why. Make sure when demoing the product to run all the queries you currently do and also the ones that you would like to have/use; just to make sure the product meets those needs

Our Taleo RSA is fantastic to work with, this does come at a hefty hourly rate.
Taleo is a difficult program for users to access, its slow and not intuitive. I also have not had great success working with our Customer Support Team, it is one of the more difficult vendors to work with.
Taleo is configurable however it's very important to set up the system in your planning process. We have the onboarding tool and have paid for it for 6 years now, however do not use it. This should have been set up from the start. It's very difficult and costly to implement new features in the system w/out an IT ATS wizard on your team.

Taleo gives us the ability to speed up our Onboarding process and create a positive first impression. Our employees are able to knock out their new hire paperwork before their first day, speeding up their time to production.
Occasionally there are bugs with the PDF's loading. For example the Form I-9 and state tax forms that we have our employees complete are sometimes unable to be completed online and we have to resort to filing them out manually. This causes a hiccup in our process and is sometimes a headache to reach out the employees with the form, ask them to complete it and email and scan back to us in a timely fashion.
I think it is important to shop around, be involved in as many demo's as you can and even ask your network who they are using so you can touch base with them and see what issues they have.
