Jazz is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applicant tracking system. Founded in 2009, Jazz provides recruiting and hiring software accessible to businesses of all sizes. 

Jazz’s sourcing tools enable users to post jobs, mirror any internal approval processes and syndicate jobs to numerous free and paid job boards from one spot. Users can list jobs on a hosted careers page, add jobs to the company’s careers site or build a custom careers page from within Jazz.

Features include sourcing and applicant tracking. Users can also manage the entire interview process within the portal, create and send out offers and onboarding paperwork, and setup customizable reporting.

Jazz also has tools for social recruiting and employee referrals which includes sharing jobs, requesting referrals and tracking applicant sources.

We have two accounts set up with Jazz and we have received a ton of resumes. The monthly rate we pay is a great deal!

Updating job status on the main page is tedious. You have to click into each job, because the drop down box on the right only lets you delete the post.

Recommendations

I recommended that they give someone who has a bunch of job postings up on the main screen the ability to turn them on or off without having to click into each individual job. Just a drop down box that would allow you to change each one without clicking in and going back to Page 1 and then having to click through to get to page 8 would be great.

I would highly recommend Jazz to any coworker or to any HR Professional who is seeking a solution that will take minimal time to get up running, provide you with EEOC, create questionnaires, track candidates thru the hiring stages and able to use AIPs to tie into Monster and Indeed. There are some larger applications out there that promise to the do the same thing that Jazz and 3,4 or 10 times the cost of Jazz.

I hate the error messages when you are trying to complete a tasks or an email and you receive that pop up in the big red box.

I would recommend that you take a look at all the features and functions of Jazz, from reporting to adding a candidate to Jazz.

Jazz is easy to use - for candidates and coworkers - but the best part of Jazz is the amazing support. Of course, my sales rep is quick to respond and always cheerful - but the tech support team is just as great. And I've only had to use them 3 times in the past year! The integration of Monster, Indeed and Spark Hire is a huge bonus!!!

The program is sometimes slow to respond sometimes which is frustrating. 10 or 15 seconds to refresh a screen seems like an eternity when you are in a hurry. It doesn't happen enough to consider a change, but enough that it's worth mentioning.

Recommendations

Test it yourself. Pretend to be a candidate. Apply for the job on your phone, a tablet and a PC.

This has been one of the easiest software implementations that I have ever done. 90% of the recommended setup & work flow was on point for our needs. We were able to setup and train within a week of starting the process. Very thrilled with recommendation and our choice.

Jazz is super easy to use and very intuitive. I like that I can move through resumes quickly withing a lot of clicks. I also like the email tracking feature so I can see the communication history with candidates. This is highly valuable if you are running a department that focuses on candidate experience.

The name search function is not as robust as it could be. The last time I used the search capability you had to spell out the entire name.

Start with the candidate in mind. What kind of experience do you want the candidate to have and what kind of experience do you want to provide the candidate?

Ease of use and great customer service. Help desk replies are prompt and detailed. Jazz handled the data migration from our previous ATS seamlessly and kept up regular communication as they worked through this project.

It's easy to use and is customizable by departments. Each of our department has a different process and we were able to configure Jazz to meet all of our needs. I also really appreciate having a dedicated Account Manager who always been accessible - he's come onsite to meet me and jumped on calls whenever I've had questions. That's becoming harder and harder to find these days so it's something I really appreciate.

I wished it would have integrated with LinkedIn Recruiter Lite - but I think that's more of a LinkedIn thing vs. a Jazz thing. Overall - I think for the price - you really get a lot of value. Yeah - there are other solutions out there with better reporting and what not - but they are also 10x the price. If you are a start-up or a small business - Jazz is a great solution for you.

I felt compelled to write a review for this software because not only is it a fantastic platform to use, but their customer service experience is unparalleled. They are always taking customer feedback into consideration and implementing changes that ease recruiting nuances, and unlike clunky applicant tracking systems of yore, they are constantly revamping their system to remain relevant with the latest recruiting practices. Anytime I interact with Jazz’s product and customer service teams, they leave me confident in my decision to continue to utilize this system as a recruiting platform for years to come.

I really liked that the overall setup and integration to our website was seamless. The product itself has a great user interface that allows the end user to post jobs to internal and external websites, track candidates, and create reports with ease. The email integration is a great feature that allows you to optimize productivity by communicating directly with candidates and colleagues through the tool. The companies customer and tech support teams are very knowledge, professional, and always quick to respond.

Take the time to speak with an account representative about your recruiting needs and see how these types of software can achieve your goals. I highly recommend taking demo's and sitting through training exercises to make sure you like the look and various features.

Jazz has proven to be an extremely innovative and useful tool for our company! It greatly improved our entire hiring process by allowing us to manage everything from initial job posting through to candidate offer letters and initial onboarding procedures in one easy to navigate system. (Before Jazz, we relied on inefficient application and tracking methods that required the use of multiple programs.) Customer service at Jazz is extremely responsive to our questions, and even our suggestions. Engineers from Jazz actually took time to meet with us and get our input for future updates! We recently saw our suggestions go live!!

Our HR Team took a while to think about this.... we couldn't come up with anything! If we had to pick something - one of our team members mentioned that Jazz makes frequent updates. They absolutely do, however, the updates are very useful, and, as I mentioned above, response to their customer's feedback.

Think about your current hiring process - from job posting though to hiring a person for the job. Then look at all the ways applicant tracking software can help you.

I like the Launch feature the best! Everything I need is right in front of me. I can quick view candidates, see company wide statistics, messages from applicants, post a job, see what's new in Jazz, and even view customer support questions from other users that you might have!

I least like the resume import tool (from a candidate's perspective). I have had multiple candidates complain to me that they couldn't get their resume to upload. From a Recruiter's perspective, I have also had issues downloading resumes in the past.

Recommendations

Coming from a background using different systems (SF and Taleo), Jazz is SO much simpler to utilize. The customer support is fantastic and more than willing to help answer questions/resolve issues.

The ability to customize each application would be my favorite feature. We have many different restaurant locations with some that require very specific experience so customizing the application helps our managers spend less time interviewing unqualified candidates/

I really do not have complaints about Jazz, maybe the only thing would be that a lot of our hiring managers are not near a computer all day so a mobile app could be useful but many of them do use their phones to review candidates without any issue.

Some of the integrated services should be included in a bucket pricing system. It should allow free uploading of existing resumes in bulk.

The product is very easy to use. Our hiring managers and HR team haven't had any issues learning how to use the system. The vendor is fantastic with a responsive, customer-friendly support staff.

There is an issue with Jazz and connecting to Outlook calendars, but we didn't find a solution that had this feature so I'm sure they are working on it!

I love the User Interface and the customer support most. They customer support team is very responsive and easy to reach. No questions go unanswered. I usually receive an answer within minutes of inquiry.

The software is beautiful. Easy to interact with. I am able to keep track of hot candidates all within the launch page. I love the tasks creation feature. It really helps me stay organized and on track. Its easy to maintain candidate interactions within the tool. Job posting is easy and efficient. I would absolutely recommend this product!

If you're looking for an inexpensive option, Jazz will meet that criteria, but beyond that, I think there are much better low-cost options out there.

There are different "views" for the candidates depending on if you're looking from the Candidate or the Job perspective and you cannot bulk action candidates if you're in the Job view which requires many more clicks and takes a lot of extra time to get through reviewing candidates - especially if you have high-volume jobs and need to click back and forth between Candidates and the Job.

Recommendations

Make sure you have a strong understanding of what your candidate workflow looks. Jazz, for example, requires you to have a workflow for each job, so if your workflow is different from job to job (i.e. candidates need to go through different number of interviews or different interview stages) you'll need to create different workflow templates to use.

This product makes it quick and easy for the candidate to apply through the website and mobile phones. I was also looking for tool that allows multiple people hiring managers to rate and provide evaluation feedback in a manner where we can see everyone's thoughts across the same plain. Great customer service.

Would like to have a mobile app for managers to rate on the go. This isn't a deal breaker, but I would like to see them embrace over time optimize their mobile recruiting and candidate rating to be on the go.

Recommendations

Jazz would be good for small businesses as they begin to use an applicant tracking system and grow. It's not too expensive and they really try to work with your organization's needs.
