Cons

How easy it is to use and great support. Tracks vacation sick and personal time able to run the report. Helps the manager manages the employees.It is a very helpful tool for employers to allocation projects and for the allocation of cost. The tool helps to distribute the efforts of resources for different tasks and that helps capacity and financial planning.Very smooth, good functionality, well designed and flexible.

Cons

The only thing I don't like are some of the support team are hard to understand. And another thing I don't like is the hourly employee have to post their time to the timesheet that should happen automatically.

I use Replicon daily for tracking time spent on projects within our organization. Our CFO sets up the projects and the employees log-in as users. The software is user friendly with pull-down menu's of auto-populated information.

Pros

The software is user friendly and fool-proof. As a user, their are very few ways to mess up the data.

Cons

It's fairly goof-proof from a user perspective.

The user experience is terrible. Trying to navigate simple tasks like setting up a new user is difficult and frustrating. The service is probably the worst though. I have had several negative experiences with their support staff who's communication skills are sub-par.

Recommendations

I wouldn't bother. There are way better services out there I am sure.

It is a reasonable easy and flexible tool to use for managing hourly employees and billable time for the purpose of billing our services to customers.

Likes Least

Sometimes you have to think outside the box in order to get the time record system to provide the data you want to see for managing projects.

Recommendations

Make sure you know how you want to use the system before you start implementing the software system. You can always change the parameters of how you want to use the system, but it can be a little difficult and time consuming.

I have found nothing to dislike so far for the product.

Recommendations

I am an end user tracking work hours on various projects, and the learning curve for the software is simple. It is hard to go wrong if the admin has set projects and tasks up correctly.

Automated processing and reporting on project management is essential. Replicon seems to provide that capabilities. We would like to see the integrated reporting, work is in progress.

Pros

Project Controls aspects for project management module is good. Our main reason to purchase Replicon was advanced PM module.

Our research revealed, compared to other systems, this would be a great value for the money. The availability of customer support 24/7 was also a deciding factor.

Cons

It would be helpful it there was a training facility in the metropolitan WDC area. I find some functionalities not very intuitive.

Ease of scheduling taking less time to do it. Able to fine tune our cost structure due to the instant knowledge of the daily labour cost of a project

Pros

The ease of report generation allows us to track our labour cost per project much closer than we ever have. Scheduling 300 people, and replacing people on the schedule, is much easier than our previous spreadsheet method.

Cons

The implementation process was extremely frustrating and took much longer than it should. In tow separate implementations, the project manager changed part way through the process. The project managers don't appear to be very knowledgeable about the client needs. For example, we had to do all of the research for holiday pay rules by province. This is something that should be baked into the system. For expense reporting, we had to do the research for the sales tax formulas. We would also prefer paying on a monthly subscription basis as we do with most other software, however Replicon requires an annual payment up front.

I was at the implementation of the Replicon, we are using Timehseet modul (with Payroll, Invoicing(, Expense modul Time off modul). We are using it for collectiong monthly timesheet hours and send it to our customers for the approval, we are using it for invoicing to the clinets, for preparation of the reports for salaries, for stimualtions that our consultants get based on the invoiced hours they wrote in the Replicon. Ozur consultants are also managing their expenses in Replicon, where me as Project office manager approved them in I see, what we have to invoice also to the clinets. Our consultants also carry in their time off, which we are also managing entirely through Replicon. Our Management are Supervisors and they are approving timesheets weekly from their consultants. Replicon really helped us managing and improving the visibility over the company work, budgeting and efficiency. I am also preparing monthly the profitabilit reports for our projects that we are managing, through different reports that I get from Replicon.

Pros

It covers most of the things we need as a company in our business, that we are efficient.

Cons

When I want to put some hours of our consultants from one project to another after it was already invoiced, I have to delete these invoice, so I can open timesheet and put hours on some other project, because the consultant made a mistake when he/she was writing hours in it.

Advice to Others

Maybe there could be one of the reports, where all the parameters could be included, just one. Because now it depends, which report template you choose, so you get just some of the parameters that are on the invoice. One reports could have all the parameters included.

I would advise that the buyer ascertain exactly what they need before setting Replicon up - it's a very responsive system and they really need to know the outcome they need - As with all systems if it is not set up properly then it will fail - remember Lady Lovelace's words penned in 1840 " the Difference Machine can only do what it is told to do!"

Be best thing about Replicon was the implementation team. They were prompt and knew the system well. The functionality of the mobile app is very lacking. Increased functionality of the mobile app or cloud clock would increase the usability.

There also needs to be additional sorting functions from within the schedule, team, payroll and reports tabs. There are often times I find myself wanting custom fields but they are very difficult to sort by.

Custom fields pose a problem for reports as well.

We use the Replicon system to record all time spent by most members of the company. It has a web interface and everyone in the company has a logon. Each department has an admin user who can assign people to projects. Projects can be set up by admins, and users log time against each project. At the end of each week/month every user has to submit their timesheets, and anyone who does not receives an alert that their timesheet is overdue. It is also possible to configure warnings that the deadline is looming, which we find very useful. After submission all users' time is submitted to the relevant project manager/owner, who then approves or rejects the time.
Projects can be subdivided into many categories and sub-categories, and each can be marked as billable (or not) and different billing rates can be specified. Admins can allow or deny time entry for their projects and also set time limits, whereby no time can be added to the project after a certain date. All approved time is totalled up by the system and forwarded to the finance team, who can then use the system to prepare bills to send to customers. The Replicon system allows this to be run smoothly and we are very happy with it.
The web-based interface means that it is available everywhere and so no one has any excuses to not filling out their time.
There is also a facility to manage annual leave but we have not used it so cannot comment on this.
Overall I would recommend this system.

For long and complicated timesheets I would like a useful search

Replicon has proven to be a super useful software for the company at which I work. With a number of employees who work out of the office (and some are out of the state!), Replicon allows for seamless time tracking and billing. It is quick and easy to see when someone has not submitted their time, and to track the billable and non billable hours of each of our instructors. I do sometimes feel as though there are multiple aspects of the product that I do not understand, and unfortunately I was not yet an employee when my company received the initial introductory training meeting. However, once when I had a problem, Replicon Customer Support Services offered to give me a free consultation in order to make my use of Replicon more productive. As a small company (two people in the office!), there are not a lot of training opportunities, because when one person comes in, it’s likely because someone else left. The fact that Replicon was willing to meet with me at no cost (this service usually has a cost associated with it) was wonderful!

I have used Replicon's time and attendance software at office. There are various benefits other than the ones you¿ve explained and I must tell we¿re superhappy with the efficiency at which the software processes information.

Recently, they have introduced a new product called roster software ( http://goo.gl/dNSI7V ). It is useful for workforce and project scheduling. Definitely, We're going to try out that software as well.
