Since 1998, Learning.net has helped many industry-leading companies implement web-based solutions to manage formal and social learning for their human capital. Understanding that these larger organizations rarely use something off-the-shelf, Learning.net developed Trellis, their customized Learning Management System. Trellis is put in place only after a comprehensive analysis of the specific business needs of each and every enterprise.
The Trellis Learning Management System has two major components. In TrellisManage both training administrators and learners can sign on to visit the learning center. Here, learners can view their transcript, create and manage a library of materials related to their courses, and access support. Administrators can share documents related to course materials with learners, create courses and course sections, and schedule activities both online and in classrooms. They also have access to the highly configurable reporting module.
TrellisAuthor is a browser-based, WYSIWYG platform where users can create self-paced online courses. This supports any course compliant with SCORM 2004; so many third-party, best-of-breed products can be used to build tests and courses to use in Trellis. Flash, sound, video, and graphic files can all be embedded easily into courses within custom course libraries, and the system creates HTML code for courses automatically.

Trellis is intuitive and structured very logically. It is a great LMS for someone who does not have a lot of experience using learning management systems. It's also easy to generate a wide range of reports and export them into a variety of formats. Finally, Learning Net is a great vendor to work with. They are accessible with a wide range of experience in e-learning and training. They are knowledgable in CPE compliance, instructional design, and integrations. They successfully completed integrations with different LMSs for several of my company's key accounts, and our customers were very happy.
It is not easy to renew multiple users under a single account.
Throughly assess and rank your LMS needs (both current and future) before deciding on a vendor.
