Workforce Ready by Kronos is a human resources (HR) platform that combines workforce management with human capital management (HCM) capabilities and is suitable for businesses of all sizes. 

Kronos Workforce Ready is a single cloud-based solution that incorporates recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, time and attendance, scheduling, absence management, payroll and more.

Workforce Ready features a single employee record shared across all its applications. All employee data is maintained in a single database, with a single user interface to pull reports and launch workflows across the organization. Data is updated in real time, so managers can make decisions based on the latest, most accurate information. A mobile application is also available.

I love Kronos Workforce Ready it makes time keeping and payroll so much easier to do!

I had a great Implementation Person that made this huge transition for our company so much easier; without him I would have been lost! He took the time and really walked me through everything to make sure I understood the product completely.

Pros

Kronos Workforce Ready is easy to learn and navigate which makes it easier for me to teach coworkers how to use it! I also really love the Technical Support team they are always quick to get back to me whatever the issue at hand may be.

Cons

I love Kronos Workforce Ready it makes my job so much easier to use however, it is very expensive and I wish they charged per employee not by a rounded number.

it is convenient to have all employee information in one spot. Open enrollment for our benefits is easy with Kronos.

Cons

Once you have left the implementation stage it is very difficult to get a quick response if you need t o make adjustments or changes to your settings.

This software has a great app that works on cell phones. It makes clocking in and out for employees extremely easy and convenient.

Cons

The only con to his software is that sometimes the app freezes. It doesn't happen often but when it does its inconvenient. The upside to this is that when you reach out to customer service the issue is quickly resolved.

I like that it's easy to understand and fairly easy to explain to employees on how to use it. It seems like a pretty good product for simple and complex pay rules.

Cons

I don't like that a few of the reports do not have the same options to choose from, example I use the Calulated Time Summary and the Meal Premium Report to gather the information of what day a California meal penatly was received for a particular employee and who rightfully did not waive it, answered no instead of yes. Neither report shows the other information.

confusing welcome/implementation instructions. Welcome team tells you to gather your info to get ready for implementation. Implementation team then told us what we had was not usable. Waste of our time getting ready.

Not a system for a dynamic company with multipul time keepers

The project roll out was rough and left us needing to open countless cases with customer support to resolve the issues. This also caused more problems, however, because customer support seemed new to the system as well and often didn't know how to resolve issues. Or, if they did resolve it, their changes in the system created new problems. We continue to struggle with the system to this day and have essentially given up the hope it will ever work the way we need it to. We are back to tracking accruals and absences in spreadsheets outside of the system as we can't trust the data in Kronos

Pros

The sales pitch was great in that you can have accruals, absence management, time off request, etc for one price whereas with WFC we had to pay a large amount for each add on

Cons

This system is designed to work in a "perfect world" situation and fails with the intricacy's and shortcomings of manufacturing and multiple time keepers with varying amounts of discipline when it comes to time card management.

We are a multi company organization and the fact that all employees are in the same database is very helpful and fast for us on running reports. Kronos is user friendly for us admins.

Cons

The VCA- it does cause problems for us and our work force as not all of them are tech savvy. Also, we don't like that you use an email address when completing an application at our kiosk- again, not all our work force as email and we are forced to make one up.

It's easy to use, like that you can code multiply employees at one time. Exception reports make it easy for deductions with our bonus program.

Cons

Some codes don't show on an exceptions report. If you code someone unexcused for a partial day where they leave early it doesn't show up on exceptions report.

Web based so I can access anywhere/anytime, user friendly, good report options, strong security, better payroll functioning capabilities than our previous system.

Cons

Repeat logins, requiring some info to perform certain functions but it's not required when setting up an employee, double entry on different screens, does not give a warning that an employee is not going to get a check when performing payroll, turns off benefit automatically without warning when an employee's hours drop below a certain point.

In the Workforce Ready solution, navigate to Company Settings then click on Profile/Polices and then click on Security - this will enable you to edit your security profile. Once in your profile, under “Timeout Settings” you can modify the “Max Inactive Time” to the desired time. We implemented and went live 1/1/2017 with Time and Attendance and Scheduler. The Scheduler had so many features missing on 1/1/17, we had to postpone implementation until the 4/1/17 release date. Every time we ask a functionality question, the answer is "That's a good idea, maybe we can incorporate that in a later release." Not necessarily a good response, when someone is paying you to use software and your question is something you said it could do in the demo. The 3 months worth of credit for our billing I have yet to see applied to our account.

And there are the time clocks, well 5 months in and I am working on getting my third one to see if it will work correctly. First one we bought was compatible with barcodes. We purchased barcodes from a Kronos recommended supplier to fine out they were not compatible with the new clocks. When told we should have sent them in to be tested, I had the response "but we bought them where you told us to buy them." Then, we sent our proximity badges in for evaluation to change from a barcode scanner clock to a proximity badge scanner. Almost a month to get the test results that they worked with the clock, another month to get a correct order form to sign, then 3 weeks to ship to us all to find out Kronos ordered us the incorrect time clock reader. So I am almost 3 months into a process that has been a huge waste of my teams time.

We use a small portion of this product and will think twice before we ever expand it.

Pros

I like the core of the product line, the Time and Attendance module. It is easy to use and the self service is easy for employees to understand. Our consulting team doing the implementation has been great to work with.

Cons

Customer Service with this product has been huge disappointment. Tech Support has been even worse. And don't plan to get a response on anything unless you contact them with a follow-up.

Cons

Customer support was a letdown. Our "specialist" was in another county and it was hard to understand him and he had a hard time understanding our questions as well.

Pros

Workforce Ready has some great features such as being able to clock in and out remotely via smartphone, reviewing schedules and time via smartphone or computer and on-site with the kiosk. The fingerprint clock in is great- it keeps employees honest!

Cons

I miss the feature of employees being able to review their entire pay week on the clock - this isn't available online or via smartphone for employees either, which results in employees requesting a lot of printouts.

The reporting ability is outstanding. I love that I can report on just about anything I can think of.

Cons

I got the benefit of being able to use this software and not worry about it being accurate or working. I enjoyed using it very much.

Pros

I liked that this software kept accurate account of employees clocking in and out and attendance days.

Cons

I like the way I can get just what I'm looking for and how easy it is to do. When I need to look up missed punches it wraps them together so I can fix. Also easy to link all timecards together so I can just go card by card down the whole list. when I'm in a hurry I can look up name and time card pops up quick. When I just looking for temp employees that all that comes up.

Pros

its so easy to use.

Cons

sometimes it log out and takes a minuet to come back up.

As an IT person the hardware provided by Kronos is always having issues. I have seen this company do more things wrong than right especially from a Customer Service perspective. From 2013 to 2016 they sent out defective parts and expect some people to pay for their replacement services. I would literally go with anyone but Kronos from my personal experiences.

Spending more time and money fixing issues than desired.
