I used this inventory control system while working at a department store a few years ago. It was easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to keep track of inventory with the scan of a barcode. It helped with learning how to view the inventory, knowing when to order products, and to see what types of products were selling quicker than others.

We purchased WASP recently and now activating the system in our operation.
We called tech support for help and besides the 1-hour long wait time, tech support rep was not helpful, impatient (knowing that it's our first time), arrogant and rude.
We bought an extra mobile computer but it was not explained to us that an extra mobile computer will require an extra license. If we had known, in the first place, we would not have wasted another $1,500 for a mobile computer that we can't use.
Don't see any pro yet because we are just setting up the system. But with the way we are being treated, it's already becoming a con.
Others are N/A but system required me to fill them out.
The after sales service is very bad.
Equipment and software are just as good as the after sales service. People buy Apple computers because Apple customer service take customer support very seriously and keeps following up until you get your issues resolved. Before buying, look at client's feedback on the company's after sales support.

the Interface is good and easy to use. It's really user friendly and our warehouse staff were able to work with the software out of the box with minimum training. they also provide us with all sorts of label printers, bar-code scanners, labels, ribbons and basically any product we might need to work with the software.
It has a really good Import/Export feature which made it easy for us to transfer our data into the system (products, customers, etc.) . The database is well-designed so if you are an IT expert and want specialized reports and queries it's a piece of cake!
It doesn't have a good support for the full ordering cycle (purchase order, pick order, packing slip, etc.) . and it'd be really nice if it had integration with different accounting software.
Customer support is good but they need more people to be able to answer all the calls specially during the busy hours.
when working with inventory management software, it's really important to be able to customize the system in the way that's most convenient to you and your needs. WASP is not necessarily the best option in the market but based on our needs, its features and price/performance ratio it became our final choice and we are happy with it.

Wasp provided a timely demonstration and quote. The product closely fits the needs of our agency and it was easy to use.
Wasp uses Corporate Armor for the equipment. They were very slow is processing our order and did not return emails. The training department never did provide the training were our purchase, another person stepped up and gave us our training.
Take the time to research, watch demos, and evaluate before buying. There are so much out there.

It is very easy to use. It is an out of the box solution that is rather inexpensive. You can buy upgraded equipment that works well with this product.
Too generic, one size does not fit all. It takes some additional hardware to get it to function optimally.
Take the time to research your investment. This product is the poster boy for "you get what you pay for". You do get some options to have more value however it does get incrementally more exspensive.
Christian from Commercial Glass LLC
Made it easy to organize and manage tools as well as the employees who checked out equipment. The software also provides useful reports that we used to track history of equipment and see exactly how many people have had a particular tool.
It isn't very user friendly in some areas of the software, like adding new tools to inventory least.
Making it slightly more user friendly and updating the interface to make it more easier to see what you want to accomplish.
genera from 7west management
Their reporting system is decent, their technology allows you to upload your own barcode and key phrases. We liked the built in cloud feature as well.
Their response on getting back to us what lacking and wasn't right away as we would have liked.
Please before you venture into purchasing software look at what your competitors are using, then narrow down your own focus on what suits the needs for your business. Look at what your company's current requirements are, and look for software that's scalable for when your company grows you can do this with no problems or extra expenses to incur.

Software is pretty self-explanatory and easy to use. Our customer requires bar codes for shipping purposes so this software gets the job done and does what we need it to do.
No complaints yet. Software works from initial install to getting the bar codes created.
Make sure you do your research and know what you are getting. Take some time and take the trial run, if available. This software costs a pretty penny, but we're getting what we paid for.

After searching for an inventory solution, Wasp gave me the confidence I needed when selecting the right option. The interface was user-friendly and not overly complicated yet powerful and as functional as I expected. Since the purchase, from the training to the continued assistance, everything has been great. Overall, I thought it was a lot of software for the money. Many other options were much higher and/or too powerful(too many built in services) for what I needed.
The things I would least like are more than likely a result of my own ignorance OR are inherent to all inventory software options. Things can sometimes appear complicated. What is important though is that when faced with an obstacle or road-block, the proper tools/support are available to move on.
Spend the time to research your options. Know whether you need cloud based or server based access. Be aware of the offered support, you will almost certainly need it. Allow for growth.

Ease of use. Simple to install and navigate. Product arrived fast and was very easy to install. All components were easy as well with the exception of setting up the barcode type that you wanted to print but even that was not bad.
Technical Support can be a little slow responding but its more of a situation where you need help right away and it may take an hour or two to reach someone.
This is a simple out of the box solution for small to mid sized companies that are looking for general inventory control at a good price.
Brandon from Woodpeckers Inc.
I like the fact that it is extremely easy to learn.
It was hard getting the software up and running. It was hard getting help from Wasp.
If you are looking for a software that just does inventory management this is the software for you.
Lloyd from Western Dakota Technical Institute
The data entry is fairly easy. The FAQ/help videos were very helpful. I have not started a bi-annual inventory yet but I believe it will go quite easily once I learn more about the hand scanner.
The WASP label printer is still trial and error. It was difficult to get the printer labels to align properly. The software was also a bit confusing. I feel an Adobe label function would have been a much easier solution.
I would recommend watching all of the videos on the WASP products. They will help you evaluate if this software/hardware is the solution you are looking for. The price of these products are very affordable when compared to other vendors.

The ability to create assemblies which shortens the checkout process
The alerts. There are not enough types of alerts that can be selected.
Make sure that the reports generated fit your needs. That is to say there are so many but they do not all have the required information.

Following are the best features of Waspnest product.
1. Easy to understand interface which require no prior knowledge on inventory methods.
2. User friendly and painless backup and restore. This is very critical especially if you are changing from one computer to another. Almost every year we upgrade our laptop. So carrying forward the inventory created is very easy. It takes lots of effort inputting all the inventory all over. Several hours of was saved by this feature.
3. Any type of inventory process will require user involvement. Waspnest product makes this process easy and comfortable to users even with little or no experience in inventory and book keeping.
4.Importing and exporting to/from excel files is very helpful as it is easy to share the list of items with others.
Vendor is very helpful in selecting the right product for our company. The cost of the software is reasonable even for small business to try out.
Labeling is not clearly explained. Unless you have prior knowledge on UPC codes etc. it will be difficult to work with this feature.
Detailed tutorial will be helpful. Not sure if online video tutorial will be helpful in this regard.
It will helpful if the program prompts duplicate or similar entries to avoid two entries for the same item.
Read the help contents carefully before using the software. The learning curve for this software is very low. Any one with basic computer knowledge can use this. But any software can help only to certain extent. User should be very disciplined in entering the data and avoid mistakes.
