The HindSite Solution is ideal for service companies with less than $25 million in revenue and up to 50 employees, working as either field service technicians or office administrative staff. Field technicians can download work orders directly to their mobile devices, including laptops, netbooks and smartphones. The HindSite Solution provides driving directions, records any materials used and collects and automates time records. The system can also capture signatures and attach photos to work orders. The field technicians can also calculate and print bills in the field.

All of this data is sent to the office, where incomplete jobs can be rescheduled and work can be invoiced using a certified Quickbooks interface. This seamless flow of data reduces administrative workload and controls labor costs, both on-site and off.

We use it to run our irrigation company. It works great for what it does. We would like to see more features.

Pros

Very good at scheduling service trucks with as little windshield time as possible. Also very good at tracking work orders and time for billing.

Cons

Reports are on the weak side and marketing aspects could be stronger.

Advice to Others

If you want to schedule multiple trucks efficiently and invoice accurately then this might be for you.

I have never used this software in the field but the demo was very impressive and I think that some companies would definitely benefit from this software.

They are very helpful. Customer service is always willing to help.

Likes Least

Sometimes there are glitches in the product but they are quick to resolve the problems.

Recommendations

Very user friendly and you can work toward a paperless office. It works well with Quickbooks. You should always take into consideration the support offered after the sale.

They are normally very good about personal service. You talk to real people and get help for your problems instead of google searching or hunting through an online manual. This is all included in their price.

Likes Least

The company has made the mistake a few times of releasing updates that have a ton of bugs and have caused a lot of grief and cost us money. They are always good about helping, but I stay away from their cutting edge at this point.

Recommendations

We've watched the company grow from 3 to 30, and I am always looking at other software and operations around the green industry. If you are looking for construction software, this may not be your best solution, but if you are looking for service or maintenance, I think you will be hard pressed to find better, and no matter what, you won't find better people.

The HindSite Solution has been a wonderful addition to our company. With the ease of invoicing and scheduling, it has made an overwhelming improvement to our bottom line. Instead of printing multiple work orders for each crew we can now click a button and the work orders are sent out to each crew foreman's net book. We have been using HindSite for three years now, the first year we only used it with our irrigation department. After seeing how the program worked we added three of our other crews to the system. This year we will have the entire company using HindSite, from our install crews to our mowing/maintenance crews.

I have used HindSite for many years. I would consider it the best program for a service company. It's easy to use and cuts down on office time and man hours in the field, which in turn makes you more money with your existing customers.
