Intac International provides software for field service, landscaping, installation and construction companies. Intac’s all-in-one solution, Wintac, includes full accounting and comes with a full year of live support.

At the core of Wintac is its scheduling, dispatching and work order management module. The color-coded dispatch board allows users to drag and drop appointments, so that dispatchers can monitor the schedule and re-assign calls if needed. Technicians in the field can access their schedule at any time through the Wintac web-portal. Wintac also allows businesses to track service contracts for each customer and equipment at every location.

Wintac also offers functionality for tracking current and potential customers, creating estimates and proposals and managing accounting. Job costs can be broken out by inventory items, POs, and payroll. From there, Wintac has the capabilities to generate cost and profit analysis reports. Information can be shared on smartphones, tablets and laptops, and the system supports e-signature capture in the field.

Wintac integrates with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks.

Very satisfied with the product which has effectively evolved over the last dozen years we have used it. Support staff have always come through for us and have been a pleasure to work with.

Pros

Everything we need to conduct our business is available including accounting and payroll.
The few issues we have had have been resolved efficiently by the knowledgeable support staff.

Cons

No support available on weekends
A program this powerful has a lot of features that take time to learn in order to maximize its usefulness, which is not a bad thing in the end, it just takes time to set it up for optimal performance.

Love having my techs with tablets. They are invoicing and getting paid right away with (Xcharge Processor) receipting checks, cash, and credit cards. Collection has gotten easier. I've had other dispatching software and this one is the easiest by far.

Cons

I really like the product. The only thing I would love seeing improvement on is the wait time for customer service. Other than that its great.

the functionality of the software is very unreliable. Contacting support 5/12/17 I waited in a chatroom line for approx.. 30 minutes to have someone from support chat with me, then I receive this message; attached… this is unacceptable. We are trying to run a business, waiting 30 minutes for support on a software that we paid close to $ for support is long enough. Now I have to call support via telephone and wait another 30 minutes for someone to answer my call…

How does a business run smoothly when its main software is glitchy and then they have to wait almost an hour to get support from your tech team.

We have been using Wintac since 2012 and highly recommend it. It works very similar to Microsoft Office and my team caught on really quick. It has been a great change from previous software packages that we had prior to Wintac that required tons of training.

Pros

Customer support is outstanding, followed by the ability to create custom forms using MS Office. The Web Portal is also a favorite feature.

Cons

Would like more options to format data when exporting reports. Easier way to work with Inventory Items when updating warehouses after a physical inventory count.

We have been using Wintac since 2002, generally are happy with the product, we are anxious to try the new 2017 program & the new features.

it is generally a good product, we like the use of the portal

the change of the dispatch board, we used to be able to update the dates & enter techs names from the dispatch board, since a couple of upgrades we can no longer do this. also, once you enter a tech assistant and the date they were dispatched, that changes when we reschedule the dispatch board, if they are already dispatched then it should stay on the date they are dispatched

At first the software is overwhelming due to the amount of information it will allow you to customize into the program. With a small amount of persistence and effort this software is amazing to both tech in field and office personnel. Easy to enter fields allow for total customizing of invoices and proposal s to allow for customers to log in and view on the their own, integrated systems are flawless. Will keep easier to navigate with use as in any software but worth the effort.

Parts and material do not sync with the price book very well and very hard to navigate.

Pros

The dispatching part looks ok. It seems to be geared more towards the office/dispatchers. I can't even update or change customers information.

Cons

You can't simply add pictures and model numbers. You have to click proceed or save after every added line or it erases it. Everything is in small small print.

We are a company in the Plumbing & HVAC Industry. We switched about 2 years ago to Wintac because we felt it was what we needed to replace our old system that had problems on their server based program that when messed up we couldn't do anything about. This was actually the main reason we considered Wintac because it is based on our servers not theirs so if something messes up we can fix it. If they switch to cloud based like they are thinking it will be really hard for us to keep them with how they currently work. Wintac is pretty decent when it comes dispatching, purchase orders, and one place for all customer information but there is a lot of problems within the program too. First off it messes up a lot during the day a lot of errors and different things. We have to run housekeeping & user refreshes a lot even though they say you don't need to do that anymore with this years version. Also with all the information we have we feel like the system runs slow especially when you do searches. When you try to get a hold of customer support a lot of times they either need to return calls or when you email them rarely do we here back. Live support doesn't work very good either because they just tell you they will let their engineers know and then next update comes around & no fix for the problem. The biggest issue we have though is with the accounting features inside the program. We do not like using secondary programs like Quickbooks & we were told that the accounting within the program was pretty good but it is not. Their reports change all the time even when we have done anything like add income or expenses. Also now with their latest update invoices that have already been paid are showing back up under A/P Bills. It just isn't sufficient enough for accounting.
All in all the program could use a decent amount of work we will stick with them for awhile but if problems like this keep happening it won't be long. A lot of the things that need fixed have either been problems for the 2 years we have had the program or are problems that arise after new updates are put out but then haven't been fixed since the new update was put out. If you are considering this software I would only recommend it based off the fact it is solely on your own server you don't have to worry if their servers go down. Most other companies are ran on their server or are cloud based. If Wintac does that like they are considering I can't recommend them.

Dispatching, Purchase orders attaching to jobs, WIPs all in one place, based on your on network not their network

Errors constantly, accounting inside the program is horrible, takes a long time for things to get fixed if they even do,

We are a small HVAC service and replacement company. We first used WINTAC in 2007. Initially it was way more than we needed. But now, ten years later we have grown into the software and all of its a features. Like any data based program, you have to " feed the beast" if you want to get something back. At first it seemed unnecessary and a waste of time to enter the smallest of details about customer, equipment, vehicles, etc. But now, I have ten years of data at my finger tips. I know my customers and their equipment. Wintac has been a valuable partner in the success of our company.

We are an HVAC company and have used the software since 2002 as our database. Last year we began using the portal which has helped our techs find important info when needed in the evening if the office is closed. we are still trying to implement the use of the portal in the field for techs full time. We have never used the accounting side,our bookkeeper prefers Quick books. The software is very easy to use and can be customized in my different fields to suit your needs. We are a flat rate company and although we use a flat rate program that is not as popular at some of the big names Wintac support was able to create an import utility that allows us to use the flat rate program we wish too. Overall we think it is a very decent software.

Wintac has been very helpful to us. We are able to do everything we need to in order to manage our business. There are some features we don't even know how to use yet because there is that much. I do have a few recommendations for constructive feedback, nothing I hate about it but there is always room for improvement. 1) The customer service team is always fantastic. Lately, however, they have been super busy. You used to be able to get someone on the line right away, but now it's more of an answering service. I would like to see them bring on more staff to accommodate their growing customer base. 2) I would really like to be able to have the dispatch board up in a separate window so I can always see where I have all of my guys, but still be able to navigate through WT. 3) With the many features of wintac, I would love to be able to see more webinars available for training. I feel like we are only scratching the surface.
It would also be neat if Wintac could integrate with gmail or Google calendar.

I love how Wintac is always asking us opinions and implementing our suggestions. Thank you for always being open to listen to our requests.

Wintac helped us tremendously in scheduling, invoicing and keeping track of important customer & employee information. We have been using the 2012 Wintac Green Version. The program was not as intuitive as standard "windows" programs, but the training available was great . Wintac is very easy to operate (now) and we cannot imagine our professional life without it!

We implemented Wintac a little while ago to go paperless and streamline out billing process. Wintac is not an integrated solution but does have a limited transfer to and from QuickBooks. Tech support on average is good. All our issues have been fixed if not immediately, have been fixed in a day or so when the correct support agent is tapped to straighten out our software problems. The online support is pretty good and quite often connects to my computer to fix the problems, and usually shows me how to correct the problem I was having. Had a few problems with the Web portal, but most of the troubles have been corrected. Do use the Wintac app. It has a bug capturing signatures that support assured me would be corrected with the upcoming release.

I have to say that anything was better than our old system. Keeping that in mind the rep was very sneaky when he sold the software to me. I purchased one license and the mobile system which I did not need at first. Here is what he did not tell me that bothers me now. Every time you add another computer it is an additional 1k and up per computer if you want to use that computer separate from the first licensed computer. You can use on as many as you want but not at the same time. That is a pain in the you know what. Every time you add another computer license your support fee also goes up.How does that make any sense if you want to ask a question you re penalized for all computers. Being a small business owner every penny counts. The support center is weak and there are long hold times and uninspired help. ATTITUDE ATTITUDE ATTITUDE!!! It's easy to have when you have your customers over a barrel. I wish I could of paid one flat fee upfront for my needs. Save your money and buy something else with better service and support for a reasonable price.

When we first bought this software program, we had asked a series of questions to make sure this was the right product for us. Turns out, over a third of the questions we asked and were told this program could do, was nothing more than a flat out lie. But they could do what we asked if we paid several thousand dollars more than we had already paid, to add in these features we were told that the software already had.

We have been using this software for 2 years now, and are have nothing but problems. I am only going to list the bigger issues we have, mainly because, I¿m not writing a novel here, just a review.

-We haven¿t been able to fill our 2015 taxes so far this year, because our income and expenses from 2014 change every day. We have not been making any changes where these numbers should be changing in any way. This is an extremely serious issue, so far their tech support hasn¿t been able to tell us why this is happening.

-When we go to look up a customer, more than half the time, the customer account won¿t show up, as if there is no account at all. Then, same with when we finally do get into the account, half of the service history is just gone. Most the time the accounts will show back up, we will either need to restart the program or open on another computer and then they will be back. But we have lost a few accounts to this glitch, where they never showed back up.

-When writing checks to our vendors, I will put in the amount that needs to be paid, but once the check is written, it is for a complete different amount. This will happen about a third of the time when writing checks, and I have yet to find any reason why this is happening.

-Taxes are not updated annually. Federal taxes should be and need to be updated annually.

-There have been 11 updates to this software so far this year, each causing more problems, one of the most recent being, customer statements. Customer statements were printing the wrong amount due.

-We have to run housekeeping on this software every day. Because if we don¿t, we are more likely to lose accounts, more reporting issues, more checks incorrectly written, etc.

This software is junk. Their price makes it look good for what they say they offer, but with all these issues, it is a complete waste of money.

Income and Expense reports changing for no reason, tax tables, customer accounts disappearing, reporting options are very limited, software decides to pay what every amount it feels like.

With the new software we are able to schedule more call without missing appointments and upsetting customers ,service techs have proper pricing,the ability to invoice and collect in the field saving countless hours of reentry of invoices to be mailed out latter and the customers are always impressed with the professionalism it brings.I could go on and on but the main point is it has been the most time saving money making customer relations investment I have made in my 25 years of operation.
