PointClickCare offers a variety of cloud-based modules in the senior care space, including care delivery management, financial management, marketing, business intelligence, and quality and compliance. Facilities of many types use PointClickCare, from skilled nursing homes to senior living settings.

This software helps users to achieve regulatory compliance, improve reimbursement accuracy, avoid missing documentation, and reduce duplicate data entry. Administrators have the option of subscribing to clinical, billing and/or administrative module packages. They can optionally purchase kiosks pre-configured with the software, which staff can use to input resident data. Mobile device integration is also supported.

PointClickCare is a collaborative platform that enables entire teams to streamline workflow, while improving the quality of patient care. In addition to comprehensive EHRs, it offers Point of Care on touch-screen devices, medication and nutritional management, remote tracking of patient compliance and progress for practitioners, and a secure platform for HIPPA-compliant text messaging.

We like the fact that the system helps users assess marketing efforts through PointClickCare's referral management solution. Users can track all calls and activities leading up to a resident's admission, creating an electronic record to evaluate success in raising occupancy rates. Other marketing tools integrated into the system include CRM functionality, pre-admission eligibility checks, and insurance coverage monitoring.

PointClickCare was founded in 1995 and is also available in Canada. Phone support is provided for users in addition to online training and webinars. Currently used by over ten thousand facilities, PointClickCare is one of the leading providers of senior care management software in North America.

The interface is easy to use, patient names are organized, entering orders is simple and offers many details.

Likes Least

Certain tasks (ie entering incident reports) take many clicks to get to and do not offer an easy way to backtrack.

Recommendations

Take time to familiarize yourself with all of the features.

The vender is professional and willing to assist to get you where you need to be. They are always on call and they talk in terms you can understand. Point Click Care is user friendly and that makes all the difference in the world! I do have to say I would like the navigation tree back. Otherwise this is an awesome product and is worth it!!!

I wish the navigation tree was back. My coworker's and I miss that. Now we have to go all the way back out and then back in. Wastes our time where with e tree it would flow much better.

Recommendations

I would say to listen closely and take notes but if you miss something, there are always "helps" to get you through or you can call them and if they aren't able to get back to you right away they will return your call. That means a lot!
