PRIMS Software by Focus Works

PRIMS—or “Product Recipe Ingredient Management System”—is recipe software for programmable logic controller-based ingredient batching systems. Users can automate batching by creating formulations and sending production schedules to the mixers, while the PRIMS system records scaling deviations and ingredient usages. It helps organizations reduce waste and increase production efficiency, providing recipe compliance and recording real-time inventory.

Well-suited for use in a bakery and food plant environment, PRIMS is an out-of-the-box system for plant manufacturing execution automation, meaning users can control the entire manufacturing process from ingredients to finished goods. No programming is required to get started, and parts are readily available and user-serviceable.

PRIMS is a modular system, so users can start with the basics and add on more advanced modules—such as finished goods shipping, nutrition labeling and costing analysis—should needs change later. This Windows-based system helps users achieve HACCP and food safety compliance, and has become the corporate standard of many Blue Chip Fortune 500 companies.

Likes Best

The system works with scheduling software ( build in), inventory software, and automatic mixing software. It utilizes all three parts to keep our system whole with our utilizing other software from other vendors

Likes Least

The vendor is not very large so if there is an issue there are only so many people who can help to fix the issue. ( we have only had one issue in 5 years)

Recommendations
