Microsoft Dynamics Solomon (SL) Software

Microsoft Dynamics SL is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It has industry-specific capabilities for manufacturing, government contractors, distribution, professional services, and other vertical markets. Microsoft Dynamics SL was originally developed by Solomon Software with the title Solomon IV for Windows. Great Plains acquired the company in 2000 and was itself acquired by Microsoft shortly thereafter. Microsoft Dynamics SL is well-suited for businesses with fewer than five hundred employees.

Microsoft Dynamics SL has applications for financial management, business intelligence, collaboration, field service, IT management, and project management, as well as a business portal application. The Advanced Management edition provides more features than the basic Business Essentials package. Microsoft Dynamics SL can also support numerous industry-specific add-on applications from Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who have been specially certified for Microsoft Dynamics.

Microsoft Dynamics SL utilizes Windows and .NET frameworks with the advantage of sharing Microsoft as a common developer. The system can be deployed on-site, or it can be hosted to add services like online training and support. The application runs on the Microsoft SQL Server database platform.
