I like the ease of use in general, especially in setting up a new email template and understanding the reports.

I wish it better integrated with our CRM, Salesforce. If we add in a new contact in Salesforce, it automatically updates the list in Mailchimp.

Pros

It's really useful for small companies as it costs nothing. List management is a really nice way to start marketing automation.

Cons

It can get quite complicated and the design is kind of always the same. It was way better than MailJet before, but now, I'm considering changing... or at least test the other.

Its very easy to use. I love the preset templates and all the tips theoughout the creation process. My favorite is the extra assistance with Subject lines to help ensure your letters get opened and not sent to Spam.

Very user-friendly and like the simplicity of the interface. I am not very technology savvy but as an administrator, I liked it.

It's affordable and has really powerful tools for email campaigns, even at the free level. I don't think there's anything that quite compares to MailChimp for the price and features.

Cons

I do wish the email editor was a bit more flexible. If I want to add columns in the middle of the email, I shouldn't have to start the template all over.

Pros

Extremely user friendly and easy to learn for beginners. We didn't have a lot of experience with email marketing but Mailchimp makes it very easy to design your own emails and manage who the emails go out to. Like being able to customize our recipient lists.

Cons

It is sometimes difficult to adjust blocks and really fully customize the layout of the emails. Just have to go with what we're able to do within the constraints of the program instead of trying to make some design ideas work.

Pros

This software is so simple to use. I have recommended this to multiple friends for sending bulk newsletters. It is so simple and straightforward! I think this is the best software that I have ever used for a newsletter. The value is amazing!

Cons

I wish that I could have collaborators on setting newsletters up. That would make it a little easier to have a staff member create the newsletter and then wait for my final approval.

Pros

MailChimp is a great tool for your business. It's fun to use because you can customize it to get specific results. A lot of software comes with stock features. Sometimes, you don't get what you're looking for. That's not the case with MailChimp. It really helps you stay in touch with your current customers, as well as connect with prospective customers.

Cons

I wouldn't call this a "con," but it's pretty easy to use; however, you should have a little tech savvy to effectively set campaigns properly. But, you're probably not a novice if you're considering MailChimp, so I doubt it will be an issue.

If you're looking to run a small email marketing campaign this system is great to use.

Pros

The system is easy to use and design layouts. I also love the help articles about MailChimp and email marketing in general. Whenever I need to learn how to use a new feature I know I can Google it and find a MailChimp article that provides relevant information. I also like how you can easily integrate forms for audience segmentation and segment users based on engagement.

Cons

I would prefer if there was an easier way to test the email view in different email service providers without having to use tokens. You can use a lot fast when testing small changes to your layout.

MailChimp is my go-to recommendation for anyone getting started with digital marketing. You get all kinds of great features even at the free level. Bump it up to a little more advanced with some of the automation and it's quite an impressive system.

And even though they have a great system, they keep innovating and improving far more than most CRM/EMM tools on the market.

Pros

- Packed with features
- Looks great and modern and the forms don't scare away potential customers
- Integrates with so many other marketing tools on the market. Recently added an integration with Facebook ads (awesome!).
- Actually reasonable pricing structure.
- Constant innovation
- Great customer service

Cons

Lacking some of the more advanced CRM features you can find in Infusionsoft and other similar programs.

Advice to Others

Do it! Use Mailchimp to get started and you're well on your way to bettering your marketing.
