Pros

It's really useful for small companies as it costs nothing. List management is a really nice way to start marketing automation.

Cons

It can get quite complicated and the design is kind of always the same. It was way better than MailJet before, but now, I'm considering changing... or at least test the other.

Pros

Its very easy to use. I love the preset templates and all the tips theoughout the creation process. My favorite is the extra assistance with Subject lines to help ensure your letters get opened and not sent to Spam.

Cons

My own newsletter emails auto filter into my Promotions tab at gmail so I'm sure we lose clicks with other gmail accountholders too.

Pros

Very user-friendly and like the simplicity of the interface. I am not very technology savvy but as an administrator, I liked it.

Cons

At first I thought it was spam when I got emails. I think it has to do with the name. It didn't seem as serious as other brands.

Pros

It's affordable and has really powerful tools for email campaigns, even at the free level. I don't think there's anything that quite compares to MailChimp for the price and features.

Cons

I do wish the email editor was a bit more flexible. If I want to add columns in the middle of the email, I shouldn't have to start the template all over.

Pros

Extremely user friendly and easy to learn for beginners. We didn't have a lot of experience with email marketing but Mailchimp makes it very easy to design your own emails and manage who the emails go out to. Like being able to customize our recipient lists.

Cons

It is sometimes difficult to adjust blocks and really fully customize the layout of the emails. Just have to go with what we're able to do within the constraints of the program instead of trying to make some design ideas work.

Pros

This software is so simple to use. I have recommended this to multiple friends for sending bulk newsletters. It is so simple and straightforward! I think this is the best software that I have ever used for a newsletter. The value is amazing!

Cons

I wish that I could have collaborators on setting newsletters up. That would make it a little easier to have a staff member create the newsletter and then wait for my final approval.

Pros

MailChimp is a great tool for your business. It's fun to use because you can customize it to get specific results. A lot of software comes with stock features. Sometimes, you don't get what you're looking for. That's not the case with MailChimp. It really helps you stay in touch with your current customers, as well as connect with prospective customers.

Cons

I wouldn't call this a "con," but it's pretty easy to use; however, you should have a little tech savvy to effectively set campaigns properly. But, you're probably not a novice if you're considering MailChimp, so I doubt it will be an issue.

MailChimp is used to send promotional deals/offers to nearly 6,000 subscribers of our e-commerce platform and mainly used by the marketing department. This allows us to send promotion details to our customers on time and promptly as well as allows us to analyze the engagement data of those promotion details. This is very important since when you perform a marketing activity, you would want to know its effectiveness and performance rate.

Pros

Approved bulk mailer. Most email services and Internet service providers (ISP) limit the number of emails you can send at one time. This is to prevent spamming. With a tool like MailChimp, you can send an email to an unlimited number of recipients at one time. Compatible with various email readers and devices. MailChimp gives your recipients the option to read your emails in fully-styled HTML or text only. They can also click a link to read the email in a web browser instead of their email.

Cons

Dig up & change the specific defaults or dig up a very specific piece of data can be frustrating. It¿s all buried on second screens and/or specific workflows. MailChimp reserves the right to suspend or cancel your account which gives you a disadvantage while you are paying for the service but yet they have the right to refuse to serve. You pretty much have to create your own templates. If you want your email to look good, you have to do it yourself. Their template is not attractive enough to attract sales.

MailChimp has been extremely valuable in assisting me and my team in getting marketing emails out quickly! The drag and drop features when I'm modifying an already awesome template are super helpful.

Cons

I like the a lot of the features that Mail Chimp provides (especially, the open rate of emails, various reports, the professional look of the finished product, and the unsubscribe feature.

Pros

I was very proud to be able to use the set-up instructions from the website to insert html code into a web page using the directions provided. I am looking forward to learning more about its additional features, and it's also a good resource for my overall marketing plan as a small business owner.

Cons

As someone who is not technically inclined and new to using email marketing platforms, it probably took me four times as long to set up a campaign. Unfortunately, the second time was equally painful. I have not used it since, but plan to, and, in conjunction with a CRM.

Advice to Others

It is a good marketing tool, however, it helps if you are new to creating campaigns, it could be a challenge.

When I need to send a mass email, MailChimp allows me to do so in a professional, easy-to-read way, and gives me tracking information so I know how it's being received. This allows me to plan for the future more effectively.

Pros

MailChimp is intuitive and easy to use from the start. Along the way, MailChimp offers suggestions for an even more effective marketing piece and offers opportunities to confirm information before the email is sent out. It's silly and professional at the same time and my go-to for email marketing.

Cons

I don't like that you can't make edits to marketing pieces from the app. That's the only thing I don't like - everything else is easy to use and fills my needs.

Lower overheads. Better reporting. Smoother handovers. Better marketing results. Happier clients!

Pros

The most obvious benefit to MailChimp is the cost ('forever free' for smaller campaign requirements). However, the benefits span far beyond that. From the brilliantly user-friendly campaign builders which include drag & drop functionality to the simple, yet powerful, list management and segregation tools as well as the thorough and specific campaign reporting, there's nothing not to love.

We use MailChimp for infrequent email campaigns internally but also supply it as a system to our clients. Our key offerings are email templates and integration witH Wordpress & Woo Commerce for our web design customers. The system is so user-friendly and flexible that handing it over, even to novice users, is smooth. The added benefit of being able top do so with no hidden charges is the cherry on top.

1. Easy to use, when I first used Mailchimp I just jumped around some subpages and got to know the features quite easily with guide.
2. It's cool that you can save templates and that there are default templates which make the work faster.
3. There is this difficult moment when you check if you added everything etc. and MailChimp informs you just before sending if you're sure to send the emails.

Overall, I would recommend it. I used it for 100-200 mail campaigns which are small campaigns but there was everything that I needed from such an app.

Storing emails, automation at a low price, storing separate lists

Pros

I like how accessible it was to me in the early days of my business because I could store all my email subscribers for free until I got to 2,000 people. I also like that it's super easy to use and put together an email campaign to send out.

Cons

I've run into a handful of petty technical glitches that have been quite annoying to deal with... but I guess for the price, it's a trade-off.

I use mailchimp to reach out to my readers and customers and it helps me stay connected to them

Pros

It's easy to use and effective. I tried other email services that had fewer features and were harder to use. The bonus is that they keep adding new features that are amazingly helpful!

Cons

I hate that when I have customers on more than one email list, I'm charged for those customers twice.
