We have been using ACOM since 2013, the self check-in option is great for patient, it also comes in Spanish
documentation part is really easy and fast
1. Does not allow electronic faxing, reports can't automatically be faxed to attorneys or adjusters.
2. Does NOT include unlimited data usage, you have to buy more storage after certain GB, but other systems are completely free & unlimited
3. Does not allow direct integration with web exercises or Naomi x-ray software, can not incorporate x-rays to patient's report
4. PM portion and billing system is complicated, so many screens and clicks
4. Comparing to other software's, it's expensive, you have to pay more for every little addition such as advertising & emailing patients, texting to patients about missed appointments, ...
5. The rapid doc does not sync with other billing software, meaning if you don't like their PM/billing portion, you are stock.
6. Pain diagram at the self-check in portion can be improved since it does not completely explain patient's pain location.
Overall, I like the Rapid Doc not the billing portion.

Our clinic purchased the software and had our front office trained. Long story short, our office manager was resisting technology and any growth in the practice that would increase patient visits. After we became aware of the situation ACOM was more than happy to train our new employees with as much time and dedication as had been invested in our training program when we made the initial purchase.
The software has functioned exactly as described. Because of the support from ACOM, we were able to have a college student with no medical or office background handle all the functions that the prior office manager with ten years of billing experience was doing and then some. ACOM is easy to use. The screens are intuitive and it saves a lot of employee time.
Easy to use
We had one morning when the system was down for about two hours, but it was back online soon enough to avoid any big problems. We totally rely on it and do not keep a backup schedule in a paper form so it has to be available.

We did demos with 6 total EHR companies that were specific for Chiropractors. We chose Rapid because of the high level of compliance related to medical billing, ICD 10, Medicare, etc. They constantly update the software and codes when things change. So, they have removed a lot of the headaches that come with trying your best to be compliant in an ever changing medical world. Also, the customer support is amazing! Everytime we call we get our answer right away and have a personal contact too. So, we get to continue to run the business without any delays if a problem/question arises related to our software. I couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase.

there are basically 2 programs. One is the notes side, and the other the practice managment side. They play together quite well, but sometimes you have to jump back in forth between the two before you can move forward as a whole.
I have no worries about audits. The notes side of the program does a phenomenal job for documentation and compliance.

Overall quite good. There are some issues with communication between the practice management (billing) software and Rapid (the Document software), but I think these will be improved. At the end of the day, I am able to produce complete and professional notes. The road to create them often includes more steps than seems necessary. I'm sure this could be streamlined, but it's not bad once you get used to it.
I can create complete and detailed initial and final reports VERY easily. The integration with outcomes assessments is brilliant.
There just seems to be more steps than necessary to complete some tasks. The Kiosk can gather pain information from the patient on daily visits, but it is not intuitive, and often does not reflect the pain pattern that the patient is actually experiencing...I have to modify it. Still, it's easier than writing out the whole thing myself.
This is worth it for me. Our office appears cutting edge, and we are able to gather information from the patient that goes straight into the notes.

I have worked with Lashon in the Billing Department for months. Lashon is wonderful. Lashon is detail oriented, and quick. Lashon will answer questions, and she always has a solution for any problem. Within minutes any billing question I had has been resolved. Lashon will talk to patients, if they have questions. Lashon is wonderful! I have been assured that the entire Billing Service is top notch. But Lashon is an angel!
I would not want to run my practice without Lashon.
Checks keep coming to the office, I scan them, and they are applied. This saves me hours of time each week. It is all done correctly. Lashon does all the additional billing paperwork surrounding Workaman's Comp and PI. She fixes any mistakes I have made, and she is kind when she does it.
If insurance billing is not what you love, Hire the billing team to do it for you. The only con is that you didn't sign up sooner!

The software has quite a bit of what I feel is overclick here and there, but you get used to it. Overall, great functioning system and I believe it will get better and better. The training and customer support is superb. You rarely have to leave a message and often speak to an agent immediately. My rep was the best person I've ever had train us on a software program. She is so patient and if she doesn't know will get you the answer.

It would be beneficial if clients were able to contact them earlier than 8:am and later than 6:00pm. We begin our day at 7:00am and usually are not done until 6:00pm. Our office is extremely fast paced and the workload doesn't leave much free time for phone calls.
Take advantage of their software preview. They are extremely helpful and willing to address any questions you may have regarding the software.

Dr. Caitlin comes highly recommended in my book. She will walk you through the demo (more than once, in my case), and answer all your questions so you are comfortable before making a purchase. She then sets you up with your own team that will offer a variety of different training options and times. They want to offer you the chance to be up and running ASAP, though they understand every practice has its own pace and schedule....ACOM people get it!

Because it is so comprehensive, it is also fairly cumbersome to work with, at least at first. The learning curve is, obviously, dependant on how much time you put into it, but it took me around four weeks to feel comfortable with it.
Leave time for a learning curve, which is usually 3-6 weeks, depending on software complexity.

Rapid PM and DOC are so easy to use. In the 20 years I have worked in healthcare, I have never worked with a software that was more integrated to the use of all of the staff. Rapid works from the check in process to the physician visit and thru the billing process. We have cut our work time in half allowing for more attention to our patients.
The only problem we have had with Rapid is that when the internet is slow, we are slow. But even ACOM can't control the Florida Rain.

The ability to get work done anytime, anywhere, in an organized, systematic, and secure manner, has greatly improved my record keeping accuracy and efficiency. Without a doubt, this has translated to less stress about completing and maintaining detailed patient paperwork. Billing efficiency and overall reimbursement-average per claim are also increased. The training process was thorough...it does require the user to put in the time and work to learn the system, but no more so than any other competing product. We've been using ACOM Health RAPID Software for almost a year now, and would definitely make the same choice again!
No specific complaints thus far...it's really as good a product as the effort and ability of the user. It takes time and effort to learn all the options, the short cuts, the tricks to customize for maximum efficiency, etc. Once the learning curve was ascended, it's been a good run thus far!
Talk to your peers, review a minimum of 3 competing products (ideally 5), take your time to make a decision, make use of free product demos and trials, then make a choice. Thus far we've extremely satisfied with our choice of ACOM.

All electronic medical records program allow you to document. The difference is the ease of documenting your patient encounter, how easy is it when something different happens with a patient, how customizable is the program so your report and notes do not look and sound like everyone else that uses the program. And, 2 of the most important aspects of a good EHR program, how is their support when problems occur and how receptive are they to suggestions for improvements from their users?
We began using ACOM Health Rapid Doc softward in 2006. In 2010 we upgrades to their full office management system. This year makes it 10 years as a very pleased ACOM Health customer.
The notes/report program is very easy to use, quick and as detailed as the doctor wants it to be. I often get compliments from other physicians, attorneys and insurance adjusters on the quality and detail of my records.
Now that we opted for the cloud based version of their software, I can easily do house calls, hotel calls, yacht calls and see my athlete patients at the stadium or practice field and document easily through wifi
I'm still waiting for the version that takes the info directly from my brain and into the patient's chart without me having to do anything.
Ask the following questions:
1. How easy is it to customize the wording so that it reflects my style and sounds like me
2. How quickly can I make a changes if a patient presents with a problem and I need to add a new orthopedic test, new diagnosis or treatment procedure?
3. If I have a problem, how fast can I get tech support to help me?

I have been a chiropractor for over 30 years and in the middle of my career I spent 10 years , full time, designing, installing and selling home theater audio-video equipment. Because of my experience in both fields, I believe I am unusually qualified to review this software.
First of all the software is extremely well laid out with respect to setting it up. There are tutorials that are short, to the point and shows you everything you need to know to set it up. Phone support is necessary to me and Acom's support is quick and available when you need it.
I am a diplomate of addiction and compulsive disorders and do a lot of other work like neuro-biofeedback, positive motivational therapy and the like. Acom is the ONLY company that is available that allows me to customize the program the way I need to use it..... and I checked out them all. Plus, the cost, after taking into consideration the initial layout and yearly subscription monies, is very affordable compared to the other competitive companies.
The use is straight forward and quick. I can do most daily notes in just a few minutes.
You can use an in house server, but I use my system on the cloud. That way there is no cost of maintenance or down time for hardware..... and I can use the system from anywhere I work.
There is also no cost for other doctors and staff who use the system. Very good for multiple doctor/staff practices.
I could go on and on, and there are a lot of questions many of you will have..... but I recommend you check out this system.
If your looking for free software or a cheap application, then this is not the software for you. But, that type of software will not let you customize it, and typically it will not offer clearinghouse compatibility and/or accommodate billing, scheduling and office notes all in one program. All in all this program is very well designed.
I had to call 20 plus or minus companies to find one that did what I needed, but in the end this was the only one that would work for me. I think you should do the same and call and get many demo's before you commit to any one program. Also, if you can get a money back guarantee within the first say, 60 days.... short of technical support, that would be helpful.

ACOM across the board has surpassed my EHR needs. From saving all notes and files on their servers so i do not have to back anything up, to the customer support and training they gave when i first started using the software.
In my 5 months of using ACOM so far i havent found one thing that i do not like yet. Easy to navigate and understand.
I recommend using ACOM as your software provider. They do all the updates and customer service is great and helpful.

I like the ability to schedule every different area of the office on one schedule instead of having a separate schedule for exams and adjustments. I also like the doctor notes program. It is simple and thorough when sending charges and notes to a third-party company, such as an attorney. Sending insurance charges is simple and easy with very little steps to take. The patient dashboard is a great place to look to see the total amount owed and see notes that need to be seen.
The patient payment portion of the software seems to have a few too many steps to take to "attach" a payment to a date of service. There is not a running ledger to look at where it is line-by-line charges and payments. I would like to have something other than the "charge list" to look at to see which dates of service have been paid for.
Thoroughly watch the training videos to see how the entire software will apply to your practice.

Product is easy to work with but the strong point is the service (speaking of service PLEASE sign up for their claims service, its reasonable and done right the first time or they fix it!).
All good! No major problems but do spend the time to learn from their videos..it will save you a ton of time in the future to invest the time from the beginning.
Don't waste your time with other services...just get this and move on..simple!

I was first introduced to ACOM Rapid software a little over 1 year ago. I always knew it was a great product, and was made even more aware of the outstanding choice our office had made in EHR software as I attended training conferences and listened to all the problems others were having that did not use ACOM.
The ease of use is second to none. Functional Outcome Assessments are linked to the note making treatment plans a breeze to document. ACOM has Medicare compliance down to the push of a button. 30 Day FOA and treatment plans for PQRS are scheduled with an alert for each patient that can be quickly printed in an Excel Spreadsheet sorted by Lat name to enable front office personnel to schedule each and every patients' appointment whether medicare or insurance with exactly what is required for compliance effortlessly without error every time.
Meaningful Use is tracked making compliance a breeze. ACOM has though of everything to make your office compliance and documentation as effortless as possible. This is truly an OUTSTANDING Product!!
There is nothing that I do not like about this product. When I do have a beneficial suggestion, or an issue their support staff is second to none. They are always ready to listen help and will often call you to tell you when your suggestion will be implemented. When you cannot explain what is happening, in a flash they will set up on a "SCREEN SHARE" and watch what is going on on your computer and then use that for a teaching opportunity to help you learn or take advantage of a feature.
Again There is NOTHING that I do NOT like about this product or their support staff.

When I call, a knowledgeable person not only answers the phone, but also they completely answer my question and fix the situation. I have never ended a call wondering if something would get done, or if I could do the next step. They don't get off the phone until the process is complete and correct.
The training process takes some time. watching the " DOC" videos means you can not do what is supposed to be done with the other person watching. Any notes must be thorough because you are set free to do the documentation on your own. It is nice, though to be able to move at your own pace with that. But i am thankful to get to do the billing side with a video and then a person.
This software covers the necessary bases. It does thorough, professsional documentation. It is easy to learn, and you do get faster with practice.
