Digisonics provides PACS and structured reporting. Their products are geared towards professionals in cardiology, radiology, and obstetrics and gynecology. The system offers real-time, remote image analysis over the web, accompanied with measurement and editing capabilities.
All the reports available in Digisonics can be modified by the end user, without requiring reconfiguration to the database or code. The software also allows for modifications to the to the calculations package, so users can create their own off-line measurement protocols or use any of 1,100+ default measurements.
The data-mining app offers a search tool that allows users to search by a single field or combination of fields within the database. Reports and analytics are built into the search engine, and all reports can be exported from Digisonics. Any images or measurements can be burned onto a CD/DVD.
Digisonics can integrate with many OEM imaging vendors. It is a HIPPA-compliant solution.

The reports are easy to read, data entry is straight-forward, and reports are easy to customize.
The fees are way too high. This is after a large initial purchase price. The system was fine 10 years ago, but it is far surpassed by any of today's EMR offerings. We are replacing it this year with a full blown EMR, as it is hindering our change to a paperless office. It also does not interface well with newer products.
This is fine for a manual office (no EMR). I would suggest shopping around on price and features, though, as Digisonics is much more expensive than other systems we have investigated with more offerings.
