DOX Podiatry is a comprehensive, web-based system that includes a full suite of modules designed to mimic the unique workflow of podiatry practices of all sizes. Integrating seamlessly with your existing policies and operations, DOX Podiatry was developed to be utilized right out of the box, improving physician-patient interactions, increasing administrative efficiency, and growing revenue.
The system is built around a powerful Electronic Medical Record (EMR) developed from the ground up for podiatrists. This module is extremely user-friendly as it automates and speeds up the patient charting. Using the DOX graphical user interface, a physician can quickly and easily diagnose each patient; that information is captured in real time, eliminating handwritten notes, dictation, and other time-consuming methods of completing patient records.
This real-time data capture extends to billing as well. DOX Podiatry pulls both IDC and CPT billing codes directly from the patient record in the EMR, reducing the need for manual data entry and the errors that inevitably come along with it.
The system is fully integrated, so the modules work seamlessly together and critical patient data, billing information, and other records are accessible from any modules in the system. In addition to the EMR, other DOX modules include front office & scheduling, a patient portal, and medical billing & collections. It also integrated with outside billing solutions like CoveMD, and offers additional interfaces with its HL7 support.
We recommend this solution to any podiatry practice seeking an affordable, end-to-end medical solution that will grow with their practice.

I did like how this program would systemically separate the H&P for ease of use and flow. Also, combining the codes with the diagnosis is key.
I don't know specific suggestions about how DOX can improve it's software but I feel like where I practice, it is very EPIC heavy. So if there was a way to advertise more or show more flare to the Podiatric community, I feel that would benefit the company and give the doctors more/better options
Make sure to evaluate for a longer time period. Focus on flow because with billing and coding now-a-days, I believe that flow to your records can significantly improve how you practice and your patient volume. So give it a shot and determine if you appreciate the formula portrayed.

It used to be cutting edge.
It has not kept pace with others; it's now outdated and has terrible customer support. They are focused on new customers rather than support of their current customers.
There are much better options. This company also holds your data hostage and wants tons of cash to assist you in Meaningful Use.

I have been using DOX EMR for over four years. Dox has helped me meet all the standards and measures to obtain the Government stimulus for the last three years, since it has been available. I am very pleased with the service and expertise working with DOX. They’ve surpassed all of my expectations in quality and customer service!
No complaints. The system works well, as described in the sales demonstration.
Rapid and simple implementation, since it's podiatry specific content.

The thing I like best is the power off button. This program is poorly-designed.
This program is very slow and bumps us out randomly while writing notes. It freezes two to three times per week. Customer service is basically non-existent, and notes are not thorough. Front office has been difficult for my staff with scheduling - again very slow as there is only 1 server. My billing company has been pleading with me to switch to another EMR, as they say it's the most difficult program they have had to deal with.
I would recommend not to try this program at all.
