The scheduler and patient registration system are extremely user friendly and easy to navigate!

Sometimes, things you select to place into the SOAP note do not populate on the Summary. It is also annoying to have to navigate to a different page to access Exams and Templates for the Objective data, while everything else is on the Assessment screen. You also have no way of seeing what exams and templates you have put in without navigating to some other History page...just cumbersome!

Recommendations

Call the help guys as many times as you need to in order to understand how to navigate through a "simple" SOAP note.

It is comprehensive! We love the product...it is very comprehensive covers all of are needs. It is also perfect for a small office the initial investment and on going costs are something we could afford.

Launching the product was rough....the follow up the the person Shawn, could have been better, he was great when I called him, but since we did not know what we did not know..made it a little frustrating. Learned alot on our own. HOWEVER the billing person was AWESOME. He was available, even after our training.

We did not realize how much WE had to do to get insurances set up. so it took a while.

Recommendations

Get a launch schedule up front schedule all trainings and get an understanding on how to follow-up.

The customer support has always been quick to respond and very helpful. I like that our trainings are always recorded and avail for us to review at any time. As well as the access to videos and webinars.

I both like and dislike that it is web-based. I don't like that it is only compatible with Internet Explorer and that sometimes adjustments need to be made to our browser settings in order to get full use out of the software.

Recommendations

Make sure that it is compatible with your browser. Web based is a plus as it doesn't take up any space and is accessible from any location.

It is not intuitive at all, and that makes it difficult. It is also a big problem that there is no Android platform.

The product is easy to access and go between scheduler and EMR. It's easy to find what you are looking for in the EMR (ex. - letters, prescriptions, etc.). Search is easy.

After the most recent update, you can't save Country in patient setup. You can't close out of a patient after you just pulled them up in the EMR. I like to close each patient out when I'm done so I make sure not to save any notes, etc. under the wrong patient.

Recommendations

Give it time. It seems like a lot to learn at first, but it's actually pretty self-explanatory, and anything you want or need to do to can usually be done. You just might need someone to come out and train you.

iSalus is a fully integrated software that provides the practice with an expansive billing system that are fully integrated. Additionally, iSalus' support staff is readily available to help when any concerns arise. I have been quite impressed with the ease of software use and the professional support staff that have made my transition to working with iSalus a breeze.

iSalus is a wonderful product that combines many elements that are required to run a successful mental health practice. Thus far, I have yet to encounter any dilemmas or problems. My only wish is that iSalus worked natively on Macintosh computers. I also would like to see more iPad and iPhone integration.

Recommendations

The software does have a bit of a learning curve; however, the support staff are excellent and are dedicated to helping clinicians understand the nuances the software. After just one 20-minute training session, I was ready to begin using the software in a productive manner.

iSalus replaces appointment books, receipts, etc., making patient check in/out, taking payment, receipts, etc. much easier.

I'm not a fan of some of the changes that occur (without warning), and when I open iSalus, I have to go through all the training before I can check in patients. Many of the changes are great, but it seems like when one change occurs, a few others (which were working well before) will have problems. Ex: Unable to enter data in certain areas that I could before.

Recommendations

It is a wonderful system and extremely helpful in so many areas. Be aware that changes can occur at any time.

The online feature and the ability to access it from outside the office. I also like the wide range of features and options.

I don't like that the wide variety of features makes the system seem overwhelming. I also don't like that it is only compatible with Internet Explorer, as I can't access iSalus from any Apple products. As far as the system being clunky, sometimes it is slow, and I don't like that I'm not able to multitask and toggle between different sections/tabs. I don't like the redundancy in the notes; when filling out a treatment plan, why won't it populate based on the past visit? why fill out the treatment plan every week as opposed to just writing an updated note?

Recommendations

Shop around and make sure to request a demo to evaluate whether the product meets the needs of the facility.

Everything you could possibly need is available in the patient's chart. You don't have to use different programs for scheduling or orders or communications. It's all available in one program.

The OfficeEMR software is fairly intuitive. We had access to the program for several weeks before "going live" and by just playing around with it, I learned how many of the features worked. I like how the templates were customizable. The vendor support has been wonderful. Easy to access, quick response, and great patience with our change requests.

Being an internet, "cloud-based" system, there is sometimes a small lag-time between pulling up a template and being able to enter info on it, but that's a minor annoyance.

Recommendations

Make sure you have a good, high-speed internet access. Templates should be customizable to your specialty, and support should be responsive and understanding.
