ManagementPlus has over 20 years experience providing ophthalmologists and optometrists the software needed to run their practice.  

The package includes a fully customizable EHR, practice management, ASC forms and inventory, optical sales and inventory, revenue cycle services, practice building and reputation management, business analytics and capital funding.

All of these features are available in one integrated platform, so users can access and analyze their data in one unified space.

Customizable EHR forms are designed to follow existing workflows. The revenue cycle management services feature, for example, handles all billing, from eligibility to collections. The ManagementPlus reporting tool provides users with the ability to report on most fields in the system, while the practice management system provides a choice of two scheduling modules.

Users have the option of choosing either browser agnostic or server-based deployment. This system can be accessed on various models of desktops and mobile devices.

Few limitations on the customization of the software to make it what you need or want. This gives options for offices with doctors that have different needs or preferences.

Likes Least

The way customers are notified of information or updates. Summary info of what is involved in the changes or updates to the system should be made routinely available to customers. Customers should be notified of all available updates as they are available instead of finding out about them later and needing to request them.

Recommendations

Look at all the possibilities! So many are available with this software. You only need a good planner and implementer to be successful.

I like that it's not cluttered on the screens--it's very easy to use and is tidy on each page and doesn't look like a jumbled mess. The company has excellent support and customer service. They are prompt in making changes and in assisting us in whatever we need. There is a personal feel and they seem to really know their customers. They are good at what they do and if I were to start over in selecting a software company and EHR company, I would chose Management Plus all over again. We are very pleased.

It's not cheap so price is what I like the least. But we are pleased with the product so have no regrets. I have looked at other companies and think this is the very best one.

This is a smaller company with excellent customer service. The product is completely customizeable and they are always willing to implement any ideas you may have to make your EHR experience better. Customer service and technical support is always quick and top notch.

Can't really think of any negatives. If anything, I guess the cost to purchase and the additional costs later for changes. I would like to see 12 months of changes included in the purchase price rather than only 6 months. It's difficult to come up with changes that quickly when you spend the first 3-4 months just learning the program as is and then only have 2-3 months to come up with changes that may benefit your work flow.

Recommendations

Narrow your search down to a top 3 vendors and then demo and question extensively each one.

They are always willing to help with answering questions. They are quick to respond to emails.

It takes a while for the company to address enhancement suggestions and then the suggestions may not get changed. Also they don't inform you that the enhancement was not approved.

Recommendations

We really like the fact that we can customize our exams to our practice. We also use Ipads to sign surgical consents with our patients. Ipads make it faster for the consent to go into the attachments in the patients record. Otherwise, if you do your consents on paper you have to scan the papers in the record and it is time consuming.

I was looking for a software that was easy to look at on the screen and was also intuitive to use and that is what I based my decision on when purchasing. I was also looking for a system without a big intial fee and Management Plus fit the bill.

Just like any computer or software there are always things that don't work perfectly but really this has been very minimal

Think about what you have to look at every day and how much you have to move around to find things and I believe that you will find that Management Plus is one of the easiest to navigate.

Lack of communication regarding updates. It seems that if there is an upgrade/update available you must inquire, it will not be communicated to client by M+

Make sure you have accessed all of the features and asked all of your questions before implementation. Be certain to know what kind of training is available for your staff.

Of course, no one likes to have to pay $$$. However, Management Plus has many things that are either not at cost or are at a relatively low cost.

Recommendations

Try to find a practice similar to yours, go take a look at it in actual use. However, realize that there are so many different customizations that can be done.
