Kimbia is a cloud-based online fundraising solution designed for nonprofits, higher education institutions and community foundations of all sizes. Key features include embeddable donation forms, tools for event management and social media integration.

Donation forms, registration forms and personal fundraising pages can be embedded into organization or partner websites, and all forms are mobile-friendly. Fundraising tools let users organize giving days, set up peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and manage event registration. Social sharing tools let fundraisers and supporters broadcast the campaign across their networks. Campaign progress can be tracked in real time and displayed on leaderboards for supporters to see.

Kimbia integrates with various customer relationship management (CRM) tools including Salesforce and the Raiser’s Edge, and can also send data triggers to email marketing tools. Additional features include Kimbia Simple Pay and form prefill capabilities.

Online training resources are available and support can be contacted via email.

If you are comfortable building out your own website, you'll find this a great compliment (because it all goes on your existing website).

Pros

Flexible and secure donation forms, with event registration, peer-to-peer, recurring donations and more.

Cons

Need some technical expertise (or willingness to learn). Configuration options can be hard to find and set properly. The support team is willing to help you out though.

Nothing comes to mind. Maybe a small lack of partners and amount of funding that has been accomplished versus other companies in the industry.

Recommendations

Write a list of needs and wants before beginning to review. Suggest a test phase if possible to access the flow of the application.

I like that Kimbia facilitates a more pleasant giving experience for our constituents. I appreciate the various functions it offers to really customize campaigns as we go.

Cons

I am frustrated by the lack of documentation and written instrictions. Most supporting documents and videos are outdated. Additionally, the software is outdated in terms of ease of use.
