Avaza is a cloud-based project management tool that allows organizations to track time, collaborate with team members and clients, bill customers and manage tasks. The solution can be accessed on any device including laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. Project managers can divide big projects into manageable tasks and then assign these tasks to various team members with instructions, responsibilities and deadlines.

Avaza sends automatic email reminders for tasks that are due, ensuring all projects are delivered in a timely manner. The time tracking feature allows users to enter the hours spent on a project and send invoices to clients. Timesheets are also sent to managers for approval which gives them the ability to collect insights about teams' activities. The solution offers built-in invoice templates that can be customized to meet brand requirements.

Avaza offers additional project management features such as drag and drop, document sharing, sub-task creation, tagging, filtering, invoicing, reporting and receipts digitization. Users can also add payment buttons to invoices for portals such as PayPal, Visa, American Express, MasterCard and JCB.

Cons

Cons

Not really a big complaint, but I only use this program for the timesheet and the other features are unnecessary for me. There should be an option to purchase the features of our choice.

Less overwhelm when trying to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Pros

The design of the task lists, and tagging has helped me to manage my tasks a lot easier than other project management software which can be overwhelming and chaotic. The invoicing has great customisation. Also the ability to view tasks in a list, Kanban or Gantt Chart layout is a great feature.

Cons

It is more project based rather than task based, so all tasks must have a project. Within those projects you have sections which are great but there's no where to archive or delete the sections once you've completed tasks within them. The intentions of projects of course are meant to be over a finite period of time, however I like to use programs like this for internal tasks and client work that is one-off tasks as well as projects. So for my requirements I do have to work around the restrictions of the projects a little.

Allows us to run our business in very much the way we envision it, and make good on our promise to our customers.

Pros

Avaza is flexible both in terms of features, as well as the two different user license seat types (love that). Also, the support is *excellent* and they are open about their feature roadmap, which is important to us. As a growing team, we see this as the single best option we have come across.

Cons

Like any feature-rich tool, I feel like it's going to take a while to understand how to use Avaza "properly", i.e., to its full potential. A set of videos showing how to use *all* of the features would be a great help here (I know this is on their roadmap). But they are great with other support, well above the norm. Looking forward to the videos though!

A low cost, good quality PSA solution that was easy to implement.

Pros

The value for money.
Easy to set up and get running quickly.

Cons

Wish it had better calendar like time tracking. We spend most of our time tracking in a day view which is less than efficient.
Difficulty in managing projects from the time view: adding tasks, updating project details, etc.

I really like the amount of info I can share with others via the app. It's really helpful that pictures can be added as well

I just started using Avaza and believe the price is extremely worth it for the features you're getting. We have a small company with a tiny budget and I've tried over 15 softwares before finally finding Avaza, that has (almost) everything we need and is within our budget. The user interface is extremely simple to use, yet the reporting is powerful. The customer support is the best I've experienced so far. I hope this will be a long partnership with Avaza and I will not have to go through the hassle of testing dozens of softwares anytime soon.

Pros

Simplest user interface, best customer support, powerful reporting (especially job costing /profitability).

Cons

Customer account statements should be multilingual like the invoicing is, permissions should have more flexibility (as in choosing specifically which project info to share with team), should have an option for billing method that is "fixed fee" which will automatically be brought to an invoice, a calendar feature would be nice as well. :)

I'm talking from a startup point of view. I have used Avaza to manage my projects on a very high-level. My developers as well as QA teams use the app too. Avaza is easy to learn and use for most type of businesses.

Pros

Cons

Lack of deailed or in depth project managment tools.

Advice to Others

Atlassian's Jira is a very impressive tool which I use, but as a project manager who actively uses alot of similar tools, some of its features are useless for me or anyone in that matter. Mayby capture the most important features and integrate into your systems. ALso give a much competetive pricing module.

Migrated to Avaza from another larger PSA cloud platform, and amazed at the ease of use - the workflow and intuitiveness is on a whole different level and there's really no handholding needed to figure out your way around Avaza.

It's really designed for small teams that need a project management tool to loop the whole team together but not be bloated with so many other unnecessary 'extras' that you wouldn't use. This also translates to a very affordable and value for money subscription plan that's clear and provides everything that you need.

My only (very minor) complaint is that the mobile app is not a native app and so it's a little bit unwieldy to use (eg pressing back on the phone messes up with the Javascript loads). Apart from that, the team has been using Avaza for nearly 3 months now and are very satisfied with Avaza's simplicity, intuitiveness and adaptability. Keep it up, Avaza team!

Pros

Very easy to use and responsive support team. Quick way to record time and match against items.

Cons

Mobile app is not native. Task swim lane view breaks the screen going sideways.

Advice to Others

Very suitable for small businesses (1 - 10), particularly if focused on consulting / dev work. May not be suitable for teams that require a very specific and customised workflow.

After looking at several apps, Avaza had an integrated solution that was simple and intuitive, and it's actually affordable. No complicated function add-ons, no over the top services. Definitely the top pick for start-ups like us and still has the functionality you need to run things on a bigger scale!

Pros

Look. Feel. So easy to use.

We love how creating projects and organizing is simple and intuitive, yet leaves room for customization. The timesheet is easy to use since we don't have to tie in every single entry to a task prior to starting. The report options offered as default were helpful too! We have powerful visualizations without having to pay additional for the same thing. Other apps offer similar or even better reports, but with a hefty price tag.

Cons

- Would have liked to assign multiple people to one task.
- The task status only offers "not started", "in Progress", "completed", but would love to have a completion bar (i.e. 60% status completion)
- Customizable reports? Would be nice.

Advice to Others

Overall, we love the app. Looking forward to future improvements!
