The Water Authority is the San Diego region's water wholesaler. We perform the majority of our construction management using in-house staff working on multiple projects throughout the year.
We needed a web-based construction management software to improve efficiencies and accessibility to multiple projects for multiple users. Before FACS, we were using Excel and Word to track documents, keep logs, and develop reports. Since implementing FACS Project Controller, our inspectors can more accurately write their reports with automatic ties to pay items and schedule activities; we can also track and link documents faster and easier.
We tried out FACS on two sequential pipeline projects with some customizations and successfully decreased our document review times and document control staff time to manage the documents. Through the great customer support and training offered by FACS, we've been able to bring new users into the system and implement FACS on more projects.
