The navigation does not line up. If you are in a specific job logging your time and then want to blog your work progress in that job channel it is not a straight shot to the blog. You have to go to blog and then find the job number all over again.

I like how easily I can track my time through the use of the built-in timer / clock. I have used this product for 3 years and I do like the way the interface and design is evolving.

I wish there was a more intuitive and visual way to view schedules. It's very clunky and they're basically buried. They are not very helpful in a list format and would be much better suited if they could be color coded and interface with a calendar like Google. I don't like that when you do make a change to a schedule it doesn't automatically shift other items around. I keep track of my schedules best by simply speaking with my colleagues and writing on the work order. As far as I'm concerned the current schedule process in time fox is a waste of time.

I also dislike that when I change tabs in one job I have to refind it again when the page changes.

Recommendations

- Look for the efficiency and accuracy of a schedule.
- Can it interface with other platforms that are commonly used?
- If you make note of something in one place (like email) will it be recorded?
- Overall design and how intuitive the program is to use

Timekeeping - It makes reporting easier to collect and share with clients.

No calendar glance - gantt chart of projects so it's impossible to realistically plan out multiple projects.

Recommendations

The file size for upload is small so they will have to live elsewhere. The calendar does not integrate with google. You can not make forms such as POs and invoices. Very rigid - look elsewhere.

The gentleman from FunctionFox is very very friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a question regarding the app, he always get back to me right away. The product itself , I think, is pretty user friendly. It's pretty straight forward and I would recommend it if you look for a time sheet management app.

I think I like functionFox time sheet app a lot, comparing to other app I have tried. If you are looking for an app that simply do the time sheet management, this would be a good choice. It's easy, clear and the report that it generates is great!

When I started at Keystone Click, BrightPod was their PM software for web development...not the right platform for the agency, as:

-Projects were being delivered late and over budget
-Resources were consistently over allocated
-UX was too busy/confusing
-Reports were confusing/lacking
-Workflows (templates) didn't work for us
-Accountability in getting work done within scope/budget and on time did not exist

I researched other platforms and narrowed it down to three: FunctionFox, Function Point, and Paprika. In the end, we determined FunctionFox was the best solution, and it's made my job so much easier. Within 3 months projects were on-time/under budget, and I could not have turn things around so quickly without FunctionFox!!!

In terms of the vendor, every staff member we have been in contact with has been very friendly and helpful. Even before we signed up, the sales rep was the perfect balance of keeping in contact without being annoying.

As for the product, it makes it so much easier to accurately track my time.

Simple and easy to use. Outstanding, personalized customer service from real people. As a creative, it makes keeping timesheets as painless as possible. As a producer, it makes tracking previous expenses, suppliers, actual costs, etc. a dream.

I was excited to find FunctionFox designed for creatives, I had been searching for time tracking and project management suited to my work flow and set up. I can customize projects and tasks to clients, build teams, invoice and run reports to see which tasks are taking the most time or if we need to readjust a project budget. When I wanted to do something and couldn't figure it out, their customer service was prompt and friendly. I have been using FunctionFox for 2 years, it is an essential tool that makes managing staff and clients easier, and I love the new look!

I used to manually track my time for each job, but when I started using FunctionFox and it's handy stopwatch feature, I was amazed at how much extra time I was actually spending on projects. As a dyed-in-the-wool timesheet hater I was skeptical, but since buying FunctionFox, I have used it every day to record my time and keep my projects on track. It has saved me hours of admin time doing billing and creating reports, and I’m capturing significantly more billable hours every month than I used to. My clients appreciate that I’m able to tell them at any point not only how much time I’ve spent, but also exactly what I’ve done. Find out as much as you can about the software you're considering – and the company’s customer support system. Don’t just rely on screen shots: if there’s a demo, try it out – see how intuitive the program is, how easy it is to record time, pull reports, create estimates or track current projects. Take the customer support team for a test-drive too – do you get to talk to a real person? How friendly and helpful are they? Do they know the program inside and out? Are they able to answer your questions or solve your problems quickly?

There are many features I like, but the best way to describe the benefits is the way TimeFox allows me to see and study various projects in so many different views. I can view one project in depth; I can view 3 or 4 projects side by side; or I can few all of my projects from every degree. I also love the timer feature and the estimator tool, as those help to predict costs. Most of all, I love the individual and immediate attention FunctionFox's customer support gives its clients.

I wish it did give me a way to calculate profits within the estimator tool. I am not sure what purpose the timeline serves, since it is so very small and not really a Gantt chart.

Give it a try, and if you need more information, talk to a current user. I would also ensure that your team or company is disciplined enough to input their hours. This goes for any PM tool, not just TimeFox.

After more than two decades in the creative industry, using anything from paper-based time sheets via Excel spreadsheets to proprietary software to keep track of hours spent and credit them to projects, I have found the Swiss Army Knife of project accountability. For me, this software is the pinnacle of project estimation, scheduling, and time tracking.

The native iOS app only supports time tracking, not the project calendar or contacts on the iPhone. All functions are accessible via browser access with ease, though, and the layout is optimized for iPad (Air, Mini).

TimeFox is incredibly easy to set up and use, even for timesheet haters like me. As a freelancer, managing time on multiple projects is critical. This program makes estimating new projects, tracking time and expenses, and managing workflow a cinch. I’m capturing time that I used to forget about, and billing takes minutes instead of hours. Also, TimeFox is web-based, so I can access it when I’m on the road. And this company really knows the meaning of customer service. They provide it free, any time I need it, and I get to talk to a real person who actually knows the product. Like I said, indispensable.

If you’re looking for something with all the possible bells and whistles, this might not be for you. TimeFox lets you export data to other programs pretty easily, but accounting features aren’t built in

Try it before you make the commitment. Everyone claims to make time-tracking simple, but until you use a program, it's hard to tell. TimeFox has a terrific demo that lets you try out the time sheets and play with all the features.
